The problem I see with the VC in MYGM is this. Not only do you need it to upgrade your gm, but you need it to perform tasks that should be accessible to enjoy the mode. Here's an example:

The coach comes and asks for a weight room that costs 1700VC....since I don't have the VC I say no and his trust goes down.

I want to give my player a pep talk to increase his morale, but it costs 500VC.

In the offseason I want to send my big men to Big Man training, but it costs 1700VC.

To accomplish a season goal gains a total of 100-200 VC...If you sim at all you do not gain VC.

I am OK with VC for accessories, arm bands or shoes, but not integral components of the Mode. I want to feel as if I am immersed as an actual gm, not playing a series of mini games.

VC should had stayed in Myteam and Mycareer it has no place in any other mode.

Hmm, this doesn't sound very good. I actually have a follow up question for anyone. How are the gains handled when playing games in MyGM? Do you get some VC every game you play? What can I expect to get if I were to solely spend my time playing MyGM?

I wouldn't mind these "transactions" if the gains from playing games in this game mode make it manageable, since I tend to play the majority of my games. If I have to use the method described in the other thread just to make the moves described above, that is where they will lose me completely.

I know the logic behind making this VC tied to these things (cash and sales for the suits). My problem is that it is not logical that VC would be used from the viewpoint of a GM. What relation does VC have to building a new weight room? Shouldn't that be tied to finances within the mode? Big man training I can see how it kinda sorta relates to VC, but it is a stretch since you can gain VC by playing other game modes (the same could be said for all of these). I see big man training related to finances within the game mode as well. A pep talk doesn't have any relation to VC. It should be related to your time as a GM.

Has leftos contributed to this thread as I would love to hear what he thinks seeing as he championed this mode so much and was 'one of us' till this year!

All training of players requires vc. Any purchase that is necessary to keep players and coaches happy requires vc...If you don't keep everyone happy you are fired.

You gain about 500 vc for each game played..season goals only gain between 100 to 200. Simming nets 0 as well as win streaks, mvps etc.

But is myGM self-sustainable in terms of Vc? I mean, the Vc earnings during the season are enough compared to Vc purchases?

I think it'd depend upon how many games you plan on playing. I think I've heard one does not earn virtual currency when simulating (outside of end-of-season goals).

Re: Why I'm Pissed At 2K Sports

I'm not going to read through what is currently 33 pages of this thread to see if what I'm ticked about has been previously addressed, so forgive me if I'm being redundant...

Why in the world would 2K not make these modes multiplayer, like it's been, what...FOREVER? Really?

                  No multiplayer season
                  No multiplayer MyGM
                  No Association period.

Forget waiting until next year. 2K, listen to your fanbase and fix these things now. EA did the same thing with their first attempt at Connected Careers on Madden 13. They put it out as a single player game, heard the outcry from the community, and then "fixed" it by making it multiplayer - in the same year. They didn't wait until the next year.

Can 2k do the same? If not, you owe an explanation to the people who are spending upwards of $1000 dollars for these consoles (plus the trimmings) just to play a featureless NEXT GEN 2k14 game.

                  Let's hear it.

I tend to believe such straight-forward responses as these from 2K folks. However, I've heard multiple accounts that MyPlayers are pushed into storyline pieces. Are folks just feeling like they're missing more free throws than they should, or does the game truly up the likelihood of shortcomings such as these to coincide with the storyline?

Also, is it possible to skips parts of the storyline altogether? For instance, if you player never misses a free throw late, will there never be an awful movie cutscene about coming up short in the clutch?

No new classic teams is the main reason why I am pissed at 2k sports.

when i got the freethrow cutscene, my guy had WIDE misses on freethrows despite getting an excellent release. the whole shot curved left. only time i've seen that happen with a 85-90 ft rating guy.

Truth be told, early on when I missed a ton of shots, I asked the same question. Assure you there is no "scripted" events or moments. It's based off stuff like emotion plus/EcoMotion.

A lot of stuff effects the players moods - shooting poorly or shooting poorly from the line will trigger events in MyCAREER, not the other way around.
