Re: My Career Method to Being Traded to Your Favorite Team

Okay so I've done everything right so far and it's the first game in January, and I'm like 3 games away from starting; however, the Bulls have red interest in me. I know I need to actually start and say no to sidekick and then ask for Bledsoe to be traded , but this worries me. Should I be worried? I've done everything right and I picked them. I'm 87 overall. They have Augustin and Butler injured, so wouldn't they need me since I'm a SG?

Someone give me some hope or break the truth, or do the tides really turn when you start finally.

Re: My Career Method to Being Traded to Your Favorite Team

I used this method in Year 2 with good results. Although I didn’t get traded to my favorite team, I was traded to the team highest on the list of interested teams at the time, which was much better than my old team. My favorite team was in the Top 3 interested and perhaps if I had waited longer, they would have moved to #1, but I wanted to make sure I would be traded.

      A few side notes:
      • I did have to regain my starting position but it only took about a week of games
      • I had accepted the sidekick role on my old team
      • I waited until January before asking for the top rated player on the roster to be traded
      • I never got a second meeting after telling my old GM to trade the best player. He just called me in a week later and said beat it.
      • I was an 85 OVR PG and got traded for a scrub and some picks so they didn’t blow up my new team to get me
      • I asked to be traded when my GM relationship/Team Chemistry were about 100%. I was traded from the Bucs to Bobcats. My GM relationship/Team Chemistry were around 50-60% when I used this method. I was traded from the Bobcats to Heat.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for posting this method. This gave me a MUCH better outcome than asking for a trade.

I've done everything perfectly, except after the I told the GM I was doing great, nothing happened. Am I supposed to wait for another GM meeting and tell him everything's great again or what? I've done every last thing how it is supposed to be.

I've played so many games since the sidekick convo. GM relationship is 13% now. Am I just waiting for a trade to the bulls? I'm a SG/SF. It's mid January I think. I've followed everything how it's supposed to be. Got injured but told trainer I was okay. Haven't had a GM convo in a while.

I told the GM that I wasn't getting along with him again and to trade him to ensure my GM relationship was bad and it was clear what I wanted. It's February 1st. Idk why nothing is happening. It's kind of stressing me out. lol. Thinking about just fouling out of 5 games to see what'll happen next. I started first week of january and had the sidekick happen 2 games later. then told the GM to trade him 3 games later. Still nothing. So told GM to trade him again.

You did the right thing asking the GM to trade him again. I dno why but for some reason, on some careers, it takes a while to actually get the trade. I've had a career when I didn't get moved until just before the deadline - other times I got the trade a couple of games after I first told my GM to trade my teammate.

Well, 5th attempt at trying this and without fail trade deadline just past got the starting role just befre deadline refused sidekick. Now stuck with Timberwolves. Everytime through reguardless of numbers or overall rating I Make starting 5 too late to push for trade to Thunder. After now trying 5 times I am out of ideas on how to get on my hometeam. Has anyone had success getting drafted to or being traded to Okc Thunder? If so how and what position?

Oh man. First week of january, regardless of whether you've made the starting line-up or not, your Thunder will be atop the list of interested teams. It doesn't matter if you get the sidekick scene or not. First chance you get to ask your GM to trade a teammate, do it. Keep an eye on the list of teams interested in you to make sure the Thunder is the top team. If you still haven't been traded the next time you can ask your GM to trade a teammate, tell him to do it again. The other GM meetings just tell him everything's great.

I'm sorry you've wasted 5 careers. Maybe the opening post should be edited, but all the info I just shared is in this thread.

                  Edit: your position doesn't matter.

At 25 games I asked for the player to be traded and when my agent showed me the list, the Bulls were near the bottom.
                      Chicago Bulls
                      Baltimore Orioles
                      Minnesota Vikings

So, I mostly just skimmed all of this thread...but it seems that if I ask for the start teammate to be traded, it's always going to be me that's traded?

I'm a SF on the Pistons and I was waiting for the option to try to get a player traded...IE Josh Smith but apparently he's the star player because he's always the oen I watch film with and what not.

So, if I ask for him to be traded, I'll be the one to get traded??

I'm panicking slightly as I've not had a GM meeting for AGES and i think i've probably missed the trade deadline. The last meeting I had was a game before I was made starter and I didnt have the trade option. I played a game and I then declined the side kick role from Josh Smith (i'm on the Pistons) and have met the weird agent about three times, played the Rising stars game and about 5/6 games since but still nothing is popping up.After each game I think "surely i'll get the GM Meeting now" but it never comes.I just wanna get traded to the Suns!! lol

Got midway into my 3rd season after being on the Hawks for the first 2 and winning 2 MVPs and 1 finals losing in the other finals. LeBron asked me to team up after year 1 and Jackson ellis wanted to team up after season 2. Told ellis to pound sand. Asked for a trade and the Heat were #1 in my possible spots but I ended up going to Knicks... FML... Melo for Me. I am assuming there is no free agency since my contract is 2 years and i'm on year 3 with no free agency options happening

If you want to play on suns, why dont get drafted by them. Its not that hard, I have been drafted by them for all my saves.
