I have now seen it 3 times in my last 2 games.

I am starting to think....there are no real hard core glaring issues..the game is playing damn good.

Don't nerf it...please. Just do some fine tuning...nothing too drastic is needed IMO.

With my 6'3'' PG I grab 2.5/3 off rebs per game.
      Playing on HOF or SUP/sim.

I'd say rebounding in this game is aight, it's all about positioning.
They MUST fix the defense at the rim, the teammate AI contesting shot and the CPU post shots percentage (waaaay too high).

Yeah I can't say I seen it that many times but it was noticeable because I didn't recall seeing it before. The quick insta put backs need to be addressed because it is like a sequence that feels totally out of your control. I would say most NBA players don't jump that fast as in actual speed. It was so much a skill I thought it should be a sig skill before I knew they were doing these badges.

Exactly what Shegotgame said is what I requested in a wishlist. Certain players a select few have quick second jumps I agree with her post because I said something similar the success rate is too high like there is no contact at all.

I would love to have the ability to tip rebounds like this if you are big enough to do so. Maybe like hold the button to grab the rebound or tap the button to tip. Most guys who have high Oreb numbers are usually guys that tip the ball a lot like Drummond.

If we had a long rebound every now and then rebounding in general would feel much much more natural. They just need to use NBA.com or other sources to show where the ball is landing. NBA.com actually tracks by video every rebound a person has made. After watching a few players you can see why some players are better rebounders. Some can hustle without losing energy others are better at boxing out, some use verticals only.

I forgot who it was, but some guy said "stop jumping". I did, and I must say, the CPU still gets off boards, but now they actually miss the putbacks with some regularity now. I play on AS/Sim. I just stand there with my hands up to contest putbacks, the CPU now misses and I even get blocks doing this.

                  Re: Offensive rebounding

There is no issue with offensive rebounding, the issue with offensive rebounding is the same issue with the game overall, the cpu doesn't register contested shots when guarded by other cpu players.

So if you player lock, or if you are in mycareer, if your cpu teammates go to contest a shot, whether that is a put back or a jumper, their "contest" doesn't have the same affect as a human "contest".

So its essentially play using every player, or don't player lock or play mycareer. Whether its inside or outside the paint, its the same issue, the cpu doesn't recognize "hands" that are user controlled.

See for yourself, play a game in quick game and player lock a PG, then play a game and use everybody, when you control everyone you will probably do slightly better, but the cpu will probably still shoot 55% on you anyway because they make late shots over you regardless of where or how many hands are in their face.

This is literally the only gameplay issue I've had, the cpu not recognizing non user hands. The game seemingly nullifies all non user controlled teammates defensively, so if you are used to player locking (like myself who has been doing so since NBA live on the ps1), just don't do it. Or if you want to play MYCareer, unless you plan on playing on pro or rookie, just don't play those modes.

Again, there is no actual issue with rebounding, it is all just tied to the cpu ignoring non user hands overall. That is why the outback percentage is so high and that is why the cpu makes an unrealistic amount of contested jumpers.

Started using r stick defense and took -5 off rebound and +5 def rebound and added a little to layup take off.

Cpu has no chance without the auto putnacks.

You may be on to something there. On defense I tend to play as only the PG while playing on offense with the whole team. It would explain certainly why it seems your AI teammates don't react as quickly to close outs and lose balls as the AI ones do. Or why the CPU tends to hit a high percentage even when using POE's and people in their faces.

So there were maybe 2-3 a game I give the side-eye to but it wasn't like Dudes on here are saying the AI is getting like 20 oreb's a game etc.

Some good feedback in here on the topic. I will check in with the dudes responsible and see what's up. Thanks to all who contributed.
Czar if ur still researching this offensive rebounding situation I have some feedback. In My League teams r averaging around 8 to 10 OREB a game which is good. Few slider tweaks n that's what I got. However in My Career I'm seeing CPU teams hovering between 17 to 20 OREB while my team is around 6 or 7. Honestly seems like My Career plays by different rules than the other game modes. Especially offensively, IQ is day and night between the modes maybe u could shed some light on that? Hope this helps.

                          Re: Offensive rebounding

I have feedback on online quick match.

It seems like when i have crash defensive glass, i get way less rebounds and i play as the bulls.....

There was a game were i played the cavs and Tristion Thompson had 9 off rebounds his OREB rating is only 81 and Noah was checking him.

With him it happens a lot, found when u put it on some crash some run its better but Thompson is still beasting on the off glass and i play the cavs a lot online and this is the main issue with them.

I would feel better if it was love or varejao since there rebounding is up there with Noah.

It happens with other teams like portland and the Rockets but i havent got a chance to play any other teams much so maybe its just those teams are have better rebounders then Noah but its on crash defensive glass its crazy.

They jack up a contested 3 miss get rebound kick out jack another one repeat, til they get a open one and i almost brake something lol, but its better with some crash some run but it shouldn't be.
