I remember Tmac wearing very short socks (almost like no socks) but I don't think any of the newer games ever got it right. 2K2-2K3 were spot on from memory, as was the king of accessories - "NBA Staring Five 2005". That game was the dream of any accessory guy.My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
This is a new level of comedy. It's so ridiculous that I'm starting to believe there has to be a really good reason why the legends haven't been updated. As passionate as the 2K devs are, I can't imagine they'd want their product to look like this.Last edited by eko718; 09-21-2015, 09:38 PM.Comment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
If I'm not mistaken, the older 2K's, before 2K4 (at least 2K2 and 2K3 which are the oldest 2K I got to play...not including Action '98) also had great attention to detail when it comes to accessories. Legends or current players, they all had accurate accessories, some of them had their signature accessories.
Spoiler
Those would be perfect little things to figure out.
Sidenote, you know what I don't miss? The inability to change jersey numbers manually, haha. Looking at those graphics takes me back to the times where in order to get a new player's number right, you had to trade him to a team featuring a player that already had his number, forcing his number to randomly change to something else, at which point the process would repeat until the right number randomly popped up.Comment

You know what else is crazy? In last gen, Magic and Bird converse's were 80s like. In current gen their converse's are outdated smdh.Comment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
This is OperationSports not Operation2k
Devs that work on graphics don't even come around here, EVER
Secondly thinking someone HAS to answer you from here is another mistake
Too bad they have 2 guys who don't do the community justice leading the front endComment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
In the least bit we have Czar trying to get some offensive plays in for as much as he can. You simply cannot ignore the current nba to work on that stuf.
There are a bunch of things that need touching up. Personally if we can't mod this on PC ive given up on classics myself. They don't put enough into it to make it worth putting the time into.
Id love a pure 90s nba2k but thats why I'm playing 2k14 on pc still. Its wonderful but i do wish the nex gen stuff could be like thisComment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
To be fair, the whole 2k team is probably extremely busy in preparation for the launch party on 4 days. Even if they see this and are strongly acknowledging it, they won't have time to do anything about it until after launch.
Cannot defend their unrightful use of Jordan as a selling tactic though or their inability to have these legends ready by now in the first place.

Don't quote me on that though, because now I can't find where that was said.Last edited by VDusen04; 09-22-2015, 07:57 AM.Comment

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Not to belabor the point...as its been made a thousand times over. But it seems to me that the faces don't look quite as bad until you zoom out to the body screen. Jordan is a prime example. His close-up isn't that bad, but in gameplay it's like it morphs into something different. On a side-note, i have never liked the running animation from the side as the legend players suddenly become lanky with their back hunched. This doesn't seem to happen with current players.
Also, since they added back Barry's FT sig, MAYBE they added back some of the classic Jordan animations...that would certainly help.
