I heard one of my boys talking that badges really help. But honestly, there are some times that i can't do anything tho. It's really frustrating to twirl your stick around 5 different directions, go into the post and try to spin out, i mean i get that they're trying to beef up the d, and i appreciate that. But I'm saying there is NOTHING i can do.

For some reason your videos are coming up choppy....ill check on my actual computer and see what is going on. I actually commented on your post about the "hitches" already and gave my take on them. I haven't really seen them since I got a grip on ball handling tbh
Here's some actual 5 on 5 play where I got Kaman (who was used in the example above) on me....easy money...

Here's another, I decided to assign Kaman on Wall to see if I could duplicate it....I didn't even do a move this time...BBQ chicken

I'm not really doing anything fancy here or claiming to be a master on the sticks....but I mean, I'm putting it right here

I can literally make David Stockton fall over like he was sniped sometimes, but it's not going to fix those animations
those bad animation don't happen every time either, but they are still there and they are pretty random.....they shouldn't be happening
nor should lillard be able to run past CP3 and slide back in front of him before he takes a single step
i think a huge part of the problem is that it seems the momentum/footplanting system doesn't effect CPU nearly as much as the user. CPU can go 0-60 in the blink of an eye.
If the bump animations and CPU acceleration were toned down, I have a feeling we'd see a lot less of the godslides like Lillard is able to get.Comment

Re: How do i get past CPU?
I'm just sick of getting glued to a defender. Like I'll try to do a dribble move while getting bumped and nothing will happen. There have been a few times where it's actually knocked my dribble away from me. Wth is that? Starting to ruin the game for me actually. Mismatches on the perimeter are irrelevant bc bigs can guard smalls with no problem. It makes no sense for the 4th or 5th year in a row..Comment

Re: How do i get past CPU?
If R2 is turbo on ps4( I have xbox so I'm assuming). Hold R2 and whatever size up u want. He will do the complete size up if u don't touch anything. So hit the size up, release turbo, now when u wanna go a direction jus push that direction on left stick and hit the turbo. U will get a explosive launch some quicker than others. I was without realizing holding the turbo down even through the size up without realizing and was getting sluggish launches.Comment

Re: How do i get past CPU?
I agree with manu about that hitch....probably triggered by turbo or something but it gets annoying when you have a man beat only to have a hitch animation happen...
might be cleaned up with a patch since a similar hitch was present during pick and rolls last year.Comment

Re: How do i get past CPU?
the launch points are a bit stricter than they've been before. So you have to make sure you are attempting to launch when the ball is in the hand for a smooth transition.
The on-ball defense does get sticky, and the slower people that stay in front of you should probably be a little farther back.Comment

No defender in any of the games I've played has ever been that stiff and slow. They all have lateral movement like a prime Gary Payton. I'm like like stunned over here. I don't know what's going on.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: How do i get past CPU?
Put on Pro and take on ball defense down. Also up CPU off awareness and contest shot. Plays just like all pro last year.

How do i get past CPU?
with all due respect, nobody is saying it is impossible to beat CPU off the dribble ever

Some essentially have been saying that. Seems like we're changing up the subject now though....
It's been consistently said by some that guys can't exploit mismatches....and are trouble getting past their defender...they even used specific examples which is why I and others have posted vids with the match ups in question...
Now things like shifting/hitches are a different beast...and yes, they shouldn't be happening...I still think a lot of the wonky stuff we see is due to the rise of the contact sliders in sim mode and how you use your turbo...but that's an entire different subject...hopefully it's cleaned up in a patch.....really hope they don't nerf defense too much..

Re: How do i get past CPU?
im a broadcast cam guy..but i've notice that the 2k cam in 16 is better as far as player spacing...on this camera I feel sizeups/hesitations and crossovers are more effective due to spacing..I manage to get by players with these doing pnrs and mismatches better..lol i beat the pelicans with the wizards on allstar by 6..also note the a.i. is smart you have to make proper adjustments after each quarter..if you are kicking butt with lebron on quarter expect the cpu will make adjusment to shut him down the next...also defensively you have to make changes
Ive always used the 2k cam since I started playing 2k way back years ago. This year however I decided to give the new 2k wire a shot and I love it so far and haven't use the original 2k cam yet.
As for the OP, its really just about getting use to the sticks on being able to break a defender down. Ive never been very good on the sticks and I been playing 2k basketball since it 1st came out, and I know now as Ive gotten older along with being on a few meds that mess my reaction time up Im probably even worse than I use to be,lol, but I have been able to get to the basket still in thise game even with the D being much improved althought that's on AS, probably couldn't do that on a higher level.
Like you Id say this is the worst I have ever been at NBA2k, but have to say I love it, even though I haven't won a game yet out of 8 played games. Some of that is Im playing with Euro teams and don't know the players like I would my team I use in My League always. I probably should drop to pro but cant bring myself to do that just yet, but if I lose a couple more Im probably going to have to try it.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: How do i get past CPU?
Only the bigs are THIS stiff...lol
Believe me, I had it pretty much delete 2K15 form my brain and figure this out all over again.
You have to make moves with purpose and watch what the defender is doing....in most of my vids you'll see me do a quick move...see how the defender reacts, then explode, you'll freeze a lot of these bigs up with subtle moves ...in my second Wall/Kaman vid you'll see me explode right as soon as I see him move left...just the stuff you have to watch out for..
