When using the control stick, how do I have my character just dribble? Too often I'm trying to pull off dribble moves and then my player goes for a shot.

So.... I'm defending a guard who calls for a pick n roll, obviously I fight round the pick and stay with the guard.... Unfortunately my centre or PF following the 'picker' also follow the guard..... Leaving the picker unmarked and free to get to the basket.

If I follow him it's a huge size mismatch.

This is on MyTeam by the way. Is it an option I can select or do I just need players with better PnR Defense IQ??

It depends on your defender and your rating. But when it comes to player x vs player z. You can contest shots. So if a player gets a good contest on a hook shot. The percentage goes down. Because the only time I miss hook shots. It's because of 2 things. The defense was really good or I took a hook shoot with a poor hook shot rated player. But as you should if you got a mouse in the house. It's going down. No matter what happens.
          Much Appreciated!

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread

I need help running a more efficent offense. I love ball movement, making the extra pass, and getting guys open off ball. Hence, I almost strictly use the Hawks and the Spurs and their respective offenses (Hawks/Swing with Motion Cuts).

I know it's a little vague of a request for help without video, but too often, whenever I'm running plays, guys either get jammed up into defenders/teammates, picks are executed awfully, or when I initiate the play, there is like a 2-3 second delay to when my team reacts and starts running the play.

All of this leads to completely broken down plays, where it's up to me to make something of it. By that time, since the majority of plays take a significant amount of time to execute combined with the time it takes to get into the half court and in position to run the play, I'm killing almost the entire shot clock. And since it's impossible to beat the cpu man off the dribble in this game, I'm forced to take these god awful shots to avoid the shot clock violation.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to speeding up the offense, or to get it run more smoothly. Whether by running different plays, or running a different type of offense all together.

Might be a noob question, but I couldn't find anything on this. What happens to auctioned players that do not get any bids? Do you lose them permanently? This year's the first time I've explored MyTeam, bought a duplicate card and then auctioned it. Now it's not in the MyAuctions because time has expired but no MT points got added to my account.

                  Two quick questions;

                  1. In 2k15 we could select 4 out 1 in, 3 out 2 in, pace, swing etc while in the game, so we could switch to a 4 out 1 in on the fly (if we were to sub in Ryan Anderson or Bonner or whatever). I can't work out how you do this in 2k16. Am I just being dumb or have they removed the ability to select it so it always sticks to the default? (This is mainly for MyLeague).

                  2. How do you perform an up and under? It says tap square (ps4) then before the fake is finished push the right stick towards the basket but I can't get it to work for the life of me. Any tips/tricks to this?

Hit left on the directional pad (when on offense). Then you hit RB a couple of times and it brings up which offense you want to run.

In game settings, there is a game speed slider, I usually crank this up to about 60/70 to get the game moving a bit quicker, give it a go

I was thinking of doing this for higher scores. I don't know if it's my pace, the fact that neither me or the CPU shoot over 45%, or what, but every game I've played has ended 90 something to 80 something.

Have you found that animations don't play out as well/smooth with the speed bump?

Your not going to steal from a good dribbler. By pressing steal over and over.

High steal ratings help in striping players, Playing the passing lane, stealing from big man who shouldn't be dribbling. With real good dribblers you have to time the steals. But even then it's really hard. I've only stolen from one dribbler. I had CP3 and the cpu had Curry.

Something I'm practicing right now is lightly pressing the LT button. According to the instructions the harder you press the more pressure the defensive player will apply.

I'm not sure but the lighter you press you're able to move a little quicker laterally staying in a defensive stance. Holding down LT fully I find the player movement slower. It takes some discipline trying not to fully press the button....

Let me know what you guys think and try feathering the LT button.
