Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
It was mentioned by Mike in his blog...
What I found out is that this helps cut down those "standing fouls" in the post...it cuts down on fouls in general
It may take some practice but feathering LT doesn't feel natural, especially in quick situations...
Well see though...Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Might be a noob question, but I couldn't find anything on this. What happens to auctioned players that do not get any bids? Do you lose them permanently? This year's the first time I've explored MyTeam, bought a duplicate card and then auctioned it. Now it's not in the MyAuctions because time has expired but no MT points got added to my account.Comment

The second worst change was this years triangle as the pass button (don't get me wrong I love it!)..... But at least once a game I press triangle thinking it's post up. Hopefully by next month it will be out of my system.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
As I went to type this I'm guessing it's standing still dribble vs moving dribble, but I'll ask any way. I can't try it until tonight and the manual doesn't say.
With RT + RS flicks in all directions now dedicated to size ups, are escape dribbles still in? Is it a matter of moving in combination with RT + RS flicks?Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Could somebody explain to me how to defend properly? I watched Samphams video which was okay but I still am not able to do it. My offense is working alright if I am looking for the correct shots for each of my players but I'm absolutely attrocious on D against the AI.
My main problem is stopping anyone blowing by me basically. I'm using the defensive stance (Left Trigger) to body them up or at least cover them and use Right trigger as soon as they move but usually the shuffle is too slow the cut them off. At that moment usually one of my other players covers the attacker and I can recover but far too often the attacker just blows through. Also my players leave 3 point shooters open far too often and neither manual switching and closing the distance nor the AI itself is quick enough to recover and at least contest. I have also noticed that the shot contest with right stick causes a lot of fouls for big man under the basket. At least for me. So could anybody give me some pointers on how to defend the AI? I haven't won a single game in MyGM.
I'm playing on Superstar Sim like I used to play on previous games.Comment

Yes I'm pointing the left stick at the target and they are normally pretty free..... It still just throws the normal lob pass, not the alley oop type lob.Comment

TAP square and you do a back/side step dribble without losing the dribble at all.Comment

I'm looking to find out why players are getting so wide open underneath. On two different occasions, two different players on the Celtics are going around my AI defenders on the end of baseline heading for the hoop and the AI players are a step or two behind with a clear shot to the paint. Both times, the AI defenders were looking at the PG initially and I play with the Bucks, a team that is pretty good on D.
Also, on a different play, the Celtics PG just came across half court, there are 2 Celtic players that are just above the PG, and two wing defenders and Monroe is trailing. One of the two players near the PG makes a cut towards the paint, and the paint is wide open.
I tried jacking the User def awr up to 75 and 100 during the second half, I was getting so ticked.
I'm not leaving Pro until I stop getting blow out by 20.Comment

I'm having similar issues on Pro/Sim with some adjustments and that could be the reason why. lol

Btw. Why does my coach stop calling any plays from the end of the first quarter onward till basically the last 2 minutes of the last quarter even though I have playcalling on auto and run plays on 95? Is that normal?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Your not going to steal from a good dribbler. By pressing steal over and over.
High steal ratings help in striping players, Playing the passing lane, stealing from big man who shouldn't be dribbling. With real good dribblers you have to time the steals. But even then it's really hard. I've only stolen from one dribbler. I had CP3 and the cpu had Curry.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Is it the game or is it me when it comes to getting a successful shot fake, anywhere on the floor, where I get the defender in the air, and I swear I'm trying to get past the defender that's in the air as soon as I get him there, but whenever I try to there's like a delay that lets the defender get back in the play with like his leg hitting my back, and that some how results in my guy not continuing toward the basket.
It's happened enough, and there are other elements of the tightness in gameplay that leads me to believe that there is an issue on the game's side, but has anyone also experienced this and found a way to cashing in on getting a defender in the air?
Edit: I really want to use the 2k cam, but it can cut off my vision to the sides of the court depending where my ballhandler is on the floor. Does anyone have custom 2k cam settings so this isn't a problem?Last edited by Titleist026; 10-01-2015, 11:59 PM.Comment
