People complain about being able to beat the defense. If you watch NBA games almost nothing happens without a screen. The screens scramble the defense and then all the motions and mismatches begin.

Consider that before you get down on your self about not being able to blow past people. It happens, but movements off screens in much more common and practical - and realistic.

The guard would go over the ball screen and Hibbert wouldnt hedge at all.

There ARE a lot of screens in the NBA, that's true, but I think there's a lot of "beating off the dribble" as well. More than there is in this game (at least with my weak stick-skills - Hahahaha).

I'll practice up with the step-backs, for sure.

How do you switch players in Practice Mode?

I'm using the Kings and DeMarcus Cousins, and I hit Option to switch to Rudy Gay, I push the button to select Rudy Gay (his little box is filled in) and then when I hit option again it goes back to the court, and it's still with Cousins.

Help! (Thanks in advance)

Not sure where to ask this as could be a slider fix, my biggest problem with the game is passing to a player on the move and their foot work after the catch. Obvious situations where guys would pull up at the line or the elbow they are taking unnecessary steps into defenders and are no longer open. Am I getting them the ball at the wrong time or is it perhaps a setting tweak? thanks

In a pick and roll you will have a ball handler and his defender, and the ball handler's screener and his defender.

When the ball handler's defender gets screened, his big teammate can choose to hedge meaning he almost lunges at the defender to try and force him back.

I'm trying to learn the Kings Players' Hot Zones.

The top player is the one who will be practicing. So in order to get Gay to play, you not only need to select Gay but also select Cousins so that they switch positions. This should end up with Gay at the top and 'Practice Player' beside his name. Hit options and you're good to go.

Who said anything about not being able to get by defenders. I haven't had any problems. We were just talking about escape dribbles. But thank you for the tip.

1. Whats the best option to limit opponent who's shooting plenty of mid range-3pt shots? Guy is using 'plays'.
- zone defense?

2. How to "close down" top opponent's scorer (Chris Bosh)?
guy is using a lot of "plays" and p'n'pop actions with him.

- what should be the best defensive settings against him?

Set POE to limit perimeter shots. In individual settings, set off ball coverage on the best shooters to deny. Also choose to switch on off ball screens.

Either manually control your guy to stay close to him, or choose the switch setting on on-ball screens

POE on limit shooting and aggressive defense.

Always "tight" and "deny" on shooters.

Hard Hedge on on-ball screen.
Switch on off-ball.
