Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
something like this.
I do the pump-fake but can't get my players to follow it with a smooth transition into a floater/layup/whatever. They just do pump-fake and reset their position and do either a jumpshot or a regular layup.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
In MyCareer, it says I skipped too many Connections with (ex: Demar Derozan) so this opportunity is no longer available. And now they have a "Red Sad Face" How do I get that to change so I can do a connection with that person?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Teach me how to score from the post (both low and high) with guys like Al Jefferson, DMO, Cousins etc. I am a player that always plays offline and i love to use my big men in the post (if they have the skill set of course) but this year even though it seems that post game is improved i find it a bit difficult to score since there are so many new animations and moves. Few years ago all i did was half hooks, fadeaways, pump fake step throughs or whatever they are called and few other generic moves, this year however repertuar is a lot bigger and i get confused what to press when.
Youtube video guide would be the best so all i need is the link to it.NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Any tips on how to face up out the post?
Right now my post game right now only consists of backing down. I'm not sure how to utilize the face up properly since it's pretty damn hard to blow by your opponent which only leaves me with the option of taking a contested jumpshot which will most likely brick.Comment

I have not had much success using the jab step with Melo out of a face up, I generally face up/Sikma step and then try to go straight past the guy or take 1-2 dribbles and double tap X if I'm close enough to the rim. Thus far the jab has been a waste of time/effort in terms of getting past the defense, it's more effective to face up and then do a size-up move, then try to blow past your defender. The jab does create space for a jumper at times though."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Hold down the LT to initiate contact with the defender (before you've used your dribble, obviously) and then release it, that'll get you your Sikma Step, etc.

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Just an inside pivot, nothing fancy. Jack Sikma was the first big man to make it a routine part of his post arsenal. Simple but effective for getting off a quick, short jumper compared to the standard turnaround jumper.
I guess that term for it has gone by the wayside, I Googled and it found nothing outside of a few YouTube clips./oldman

And this excerpt from Pete Newell's Playing Big on post moves...

How do I blow by a defender after I pump fake him into the air? I always seem to run straight into him.Comment
