Can someone explain from a basketball standpoint why in the world Tyreke Evans would cut into the paint in the situation below?



I see Tyreke waiting in the corner so I decide to make a pass to him if only to make the defense react and move a guy out....... but then he decides while I'm pressing x to instead cut to the center to where the DEFENSE IS. This happens to me at least once a game during transition moments.

Is there a basketball reason for this or am I making the wrong play here?

Yeah 2k gotta patch that fam! Thats a must... same exact thing happend ed to me a few times the other day.... Hella frustrating ****!

This type of question might have been asked already, so I apologize in advance.

I'm new to the game, and to basketball strategy in general, and there is tons of great information here! What I still want to find out is about play books, and what would fit my style of play best. I like to play the isolation with my shooting guard or small forward and try to run pick and roll plays, or look for an open shooter. I also prefer my big players to stay inside and ideally down low to crash the boards, but I don't know a lot about the sport, so I have no idea how to make that happen

How do you dribble and move to get around an opposing player? Been playing since 2k13 and seen plenty of videos where people dribble their way past the D and into the paint (or make the defender fall over). Whenever I try it I just seem to hit a "brick wall" of sorts or the D simply follows every directional change I make.

ey man I really am frustrated with this and can't find help anywhere but how do u fix the roster in Myleague any roster I use has missing player pictures in myleague. I mean like when you are under manage roster and I'm on a player it has their picture on the left we'll all of the players who switched teams in offseason have no real life picture of them, this includes all free agents as well. Please help!!!

Do you notice that the CPU was reacting to what you were doing? You can't consistently do a move over and over. You have to react to what the CPU is doing to you. Learn how to feather the controls first (Left stick). You will notice that the CPU jumps on a lot of your movements. Even very little one. Watch what the CPU did to you? He give you a small hesi, then a crossover back into another crossover. The hesi threw your off balance. and the first cross was to set you up for the last one.

There are a few ways. You can do it during a timeout. Or press pause and do it through the defensive settings in gameplan menu

Thanks for the response. I understand what you mean by reacting and feathering the stick. That was actually me controlling Rose on that last clip. I believe those exact moves can only be performed when the ball handler gets bodied. I just don't know exactly what right stick input triggers the animation.
