Ok i can't for the life of me figure out how to do a post stepback, or post hop. Both say you move the Left analog various directions away from the basket but when I do that they just run out of the post.

For the post hop shot, its the same idea, but you want to point the left stick diagonally away from the basket (different animations for left and right) and then tap square.Comment

Keep holding L2 through the whole move. Now as soon as you point the left stick directly away from the basket tap square and your player should begin the stepback animation.

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
How do you set screens consistently without being called for moving screen? It can't be like you need to plan 5 seconds ahead to set a simple screen, and with the footplanting you often take a step or 2 steps long after you let go of the stick and leaves you 3 feet away from where you were. Now, I understand that the game need some animation rollout if there's defenders around you, but I'd reckon that all NBA-calibre player is able to stop on a dime if not using RL equivalent of "turbo". I can't get the hang of it with my new C, a position I'm not very used to play.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.Comment

Can anyone help me pull off a Step back as smooth as the one Oladipo did against the thunder ?

Another thing, will an increase in ball handling decrease my player's tendency to being constantly stripped while shooting/driving, or is it just about dribbling? I'm racking up a serious number of turnovers because of it.Comment

Thanks, it's not like 2K15 for sure, where you could jump into screens. I do think it should be a tiny bit toned down, though.

Re: NBA 2K16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Yeah, first off try changing subs to fatigue. Also besides that Im messing w sliders some, last game I had their stamina on 100, fatigue on 5. That made CPU subs pretty realistic in the first half but 2nd half went awry a bit. Just have to keep tweaking it and try to get it close until they patch it hopefully

A red circle under the player you're controlling means you should be helping/rotating. Not sure I've ever seen a green one. Guessing that means you've rotated properly?"You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

I think the green one means you are in a correct position to be able to contest a shot.Comment
