Why was the Steph Curry body build removed, when it fits many, many guards and is one of the better average builds?
And the cut and paste job to replace his body type with the one shot High School body type from last year-- rendering the last three MVPs high-schoolers with no muscle definition...
I mean if you could make one simple change to negatively impact the appearance of the most players including two of the faces of the league on possibly one of the best lineups of all time, "Replace an average, widely used body with that high school sock monkey body we're not using" would probably be it. It would be near the top of my list of "things not to do to make the game look worse than last year". Honestly, it almost feels like a troll job.
I've never been quite this vocally critical of 2K's art effort. Usually they do great work. Sometimes they take steps back when going in a new direction. We understand that can happen. I don't mean to yell, but with an ENTIRE year to improve on the character art-- HOW IS THIS REMOTELY ACCEPTABLE?
How is this possibly okay in a game of 2K's caliber, with 2K's resources and revenue? And how did this actually manage to pass the art direction? Was this a mistake?
