Constructive Criticism works look how quickly 2k fixed Jimmy Butler and Paul George, now nobody is complaining about them. I'm sure 2k just ran out of time with the other players or else they would've fixed them too.

I have a art question for anyone with the game are the mouthpieces still there for Lebron James and Steph Curry because in none of the gameplay videos or trailers have I seen it, that would be a bummer if not in.

I've seen Curry's mouthpiece when at the foul line during that Warriors at Rockets gameplay vid.

They can do a better job of adding more body types and especially types that better represent NBA athletes, but he's also right that the players will never look perfect. The idea of something being "perfect" is such a bias and subjective thing in particular when discussing art.

Clearly, we can all see and agree that these "high school" body types aren't any good for NBA players (they should have been scrapped and replaced, IMO).

I think that with where we are with visuals in gaming there will always be some sort of complaints because the closer we get to photo realistic graphics the more the imperfections will stand out. Like I have seen people make valid complaints about the size of players legs, for example Lebron's legs being too thick. This is something that not everyone will notice, i know I never put any thought into the accuracy of players legs, but graphics have improved so much and people are so observant that even something like leg thickness is noticed and will be called out if incorrect.

I just think the more things improve the more the imperfections stand out and once one area is fixed there will be something new, maybe more subtle, that stands out. Plus there is a degree of subjectivity with this stuff. Like for me personally I think some of the models look bad, especially in close ups, but from a gameplay camera they look alright.

The concern is that 2k also took the initiative to make some athletic players bigger than they really are. If the message was that players were too thick in 2k16, it's interesting that they would elect to plump up some players like Butler and Demar Derozan. Lighting wise, skin color tone, it looks more realistic. But body wise, a tad on the regression side.

Curry was perfectly fine in 2k16 (minus the spikey hair), but there is certainly a case for Durant, Klay and Deron Williams in this gif alone being a bit too built compared to their real self. They needed a slim for sure. 2k simply took Durant too far in the arms department. Durant's shoulder width in 2k17 actually looks much improved, but the arms needs to be reworked.

Is there an updated version of Butler and George floating around somewhere because from all the released Butler footage (not referring to the authorized 2k released screenshot with rating), 2k17 Butler looks built and not as slim as his real self, and is much more plump than his 2k16 self.

How does it not make sense? We're not taking about gameplay, we're talking about aesthetics. We've seen plenty of leaked footage to see the poor player models etc. This is feedback. I don't see the problem. A lot of ppl feel like the art direction took a step back.. So we voiced our complaints.

Hate you tell ya, but people are complaining about them, because they do look bad in 2K17.

Faces look good (on most players). It's the bodies that are horrendous. Strange that they'd put such little time in the body when the faces look great, for most part.

Just give us 2K16 bodies, but thin the legs a tad, and be done with it.

Please, please, pleassseee... if the art team stumbles upon this thread.

All i ask is when we edit players shoulder width's the jerseys change in width also. I doubt we will get revamped body types this year, but a small fix like this is definitely helpful.

2K makes millions and millions each year and PLUS many of us spend hundreds and thousands on VC. They could at least spend some of their earnings on hiring a grade A artist. Yet, they want to be CHEAP. OR perhaps they just don't care anymore since they know people are going to keep spending money on the game any damn way.

They slimmed down Paul George in the kicks trailer but I agree with you on Jimmy Butler.
