Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

Best way to get rid of Goran Dragic? Im year 2 with the Kings. Had to take him in a draft day trade to move down. Hes a 79 overall, but hes 31 and that contract is terrible. I really just want rid of him because I have rookie Lonzo Ball starting and Norris Cole does the same thing and then some that Dragic does at 28 years old and a budget contract.

Nikola Mirotic + Doug McDermott for Aaron Gordon

Jimmy Butler to Lakers for D'Angelo Russell plus Pick

      Any ideas???? Fair or not?

Orlando has enough inconsistent jump shooters.

I hang up the phone before Chicago can finish saying Nikola Miro.....

Yea I agree but they need shooters and well bulls need someone to build around for the future

I'm the Phoenix Suns, and I'm looking to get Nerlens Noel from Philadelphia. Marquiss Chriss can be part of the trade (I insist,) because I don't like him. My 1st round draft pick is off limits.

            Any suggestions?

I wouldn't part with Chriss, but him and 2nd's should get the deal done

                Yeah.

My original idea was Chriss + Uliss + 2nd.

I want Noel at Center, so I can start at PF in my 2nd season. I player lock as Dragan Bender, so Chriss is just standing in my way.

                Thanks for the suggestion.

Dragic has to have one of the tougher contracts to move because, a) he's 31, on the decline and is owed a lot over the next few years b) his OVR is way lower than his contract value c) a lot of teams already have starting PG's and d) teams can get a young inexperienced or free agent PG who's only a few OVR behind Dragic for less than half of his contract...

Your best course of action would be to look for teams with enough cap space to absorb Dragic's contract, next see if Dragic would be an improvement over their current PG (maybe even a SG)... if you find a team that means that criteria then, dump him for a 2nd. Beyond that you might have to do a Anderson Varejao to Portland (Cavs traded Varejao and a 1st to Portland for a 2nd) type of trade to get some one to someone to take him off of your hands. Of course, this only works if you have a late first rounder. Obviously, you wouldn't do it for a Top 20ish 1st. Other than that you would have to take back another bad contract yourself... an Asik or Chandler type of deal.

I'm not sure how each teams rosters look since you're in your 2nd year, but Dallas, Philly and maybe Brooklyn would be the teams I'd assume you should look at first.

Finally found a good trade this morning im happy with. Philly was who I went with. Belive it or not they are sotting sitting as the 4th seed in the east having made a huge leap. Their bad off at PG right now with Jerryd Bayless out 6-8 weeks and they are currently starting Melo Trimble. Ive looked at their past couple games and theyre holding it down, but are hurting at PG. I was able to use the leverage of Dragic will give them a true starter at 1 that theyll need in the playoffs so I was ablse to aquire their 2018 1st rounder in exchange for Dragic and my 2nd rounder, our only 2018 draft pick. Our 2nd round pick is going to be high and that 1st rounder of theirs will be in the 20s so that basically moved us into the first while Philly only moves down 10-15 slots.

Seems fair enough, especially since they were desperate with Bayless out, Dragic is an upgrade over Bayless and Dragic can play off-ball and let Simmons run the show. Plus, Philly should have cap space, unless they went crazy in free agency which they really shouldn't have since the should be set at SF, PF and C.

                      -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On another note, does anyone have any ideas for Brook Lopez? I know we discussed him before, but I thinking of sending him to either Portland or Milwaukee. A Portland deal would probably be for Crabbe (who the Nets wanted in the offseason), one of their younger big's and a top 10 protected 1st? Milwaukee would probably be for Monroe and a top 10 protected 1st? Do those sound fair?

Philly amount of Cap Space is laughable, even after the Dragic trade. They are set up for years in my game. Goes to show how horrible their front office is in real life. They have enough room to throw bags of cash at a few all stars.

Milwaukee would be a pretty solid fit. Monroe never really stuck there and I feel like Lopez is an upgrade at both ends. Plus there's the continuity with Kidd.

Otherwise, Chicago wouldn't be a bad fit at all. His brother Robin can move to the 4, and I feel like they'd play pretty well together. Spacing would be at an all-time low with Rondo, Wade, Butler, and the Lopez twins, but that'd be a pretty good lineup regardless. Just don't know who Chicago would send back for that contract.

so after getting to season 3 with the bulls, something happen to my files, my saves were all gone, so i had to re-start.

Sent Taj Gibson plus tons of picks to the Wolfs for their pick and took Kris Dunn

I am again blowing it up in Chicago, Where would u guys send Jimmy Butler? i want a young player plus picks!

on a side note, has anyone saves ever deleted them self?

Hey guys - doing a MyLeague SIM Magic franchise. I am looking to acquire a point guard as I near the all-star break. My team is fighting for a 7/8 seed in the east and I think we are a PG away from breaking into the upper tier. Right now Augustine has been starting for me with Payton playing big minutes off the bench running the second unit. I don't see either as the future at PG for my Magic team.

Right now Fournier is leading the team in scoring at 21ppg, Vuc 18.8, Ibaka 15.4 and Gordon at 10.5. I don't necessarily need scoring, but it wouldn't hurt either to take some load off of Fournier.

My primary target is Brandon Knight. I think it makes a lot of sense for us, but I am not sure what is a fair offer to the Suns. They currently sit in dead last in the West and should be looking to unload a PG to make room for Booker in the backcourt.

Trade finder suggests Gordon, Biyombo and a 2nd or Hezonja and Biyombo. Both of these seem like an overpay to me.

Any feedback? Thoughts on Payton + this years first, or Hezonja and this years first? Also open to additional targets and ideas.

                              Thanks!

The computer trade logic still needs some work. I traded the third pick for Giannis straight up in the 2017 NBA Draft. LOL
