Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
Realistically...it's the Kings, a fair trade would normally involve Butler but the Kings don't really have much leverage other than the fact the Celtics have more assets to offer. If you take the approach that Cousins is likely to either leave (realistic) or that hes going to force a trade (possible imo) you can package players like McDermott, Valentine and draft picks including Sacramentos 2017 pick. I just think realistically the Celtics have more to offer but I would not trade Butler for Cousins in any scenario seeing as little leverage the Kings have as an organization.

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
Agreed. Butler has to go or else Sacramento could easily find a better package elsewhere.
Also, I try to keep draft picks as real as possible, so as long as Sacramento's 17 pick is 1-10 it goes back to them and Chicago gets a 2nd instead. With Boogie Sacramento is very likely to finish in that 1-10 range without him they are certain to fall in that range. Therefore, if you take real life draft picks into consideration the Kings pick that the Bulls own is more than likely an early 2nd round pick instead of an early 1st.
Lastly, Chicago's 1st Rounders aren't valuable if they have Butler and Boogie. Unless something goes horribly wrong, then they should all be in the 20-30 range, and Boogie you're not going to get Boggie for a package of a couple of late 1st and whatever else you can send. It's just not a trade that Sacramento would make.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Do you have some ideas for butler-cousins trade but for chicago to get (or keep) 1st round picks (or young players)? Maybe a 3 team trade?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
You could do a three team deal with Boston if you think Butler works better there. Just send Butler to them for a 2 out of Bradley/Smart or Crowder/Brown (you may also have to send Amir Johnson or Jerebko to make the salaries work depending on who the first two players were), plus the '17 Nets pick and another future non-Nets pick in 18 or 19. With that said I think Sacramento would prefer a star in return for Butler, especially since they're moving into their new arena and a star like Butler would get more people in the seats than the Celtics package. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
Honestly, I think that Butler for Cousins straight up would work. Both are excellent Top 10-15 players, but I think a big men with the skill of Cousins is slightly more valuable. However, their contract situations with Butler having a 4 year deal versus Cousins 2 years left makes them more equal. I would probably start McDermott and Mirotic to give you some outside shooting. Also, I think you could eventually flip Lopez for a SF, although I'd have to think about who would work.

Yeah that sounds right. I was thinking the same. Butler-Cousins straight up is more or less fair. And I can make different trades lopez/rondo/bench for draft picks or SF or prospect PG to replace rondo.
Best scenario would be to keep butler and get cousins. Can't think of some realistic trade to make that possible. Only way would be like someone mentioned before if boogie demands a trade and then kings get less value. I can maybe see that happening IRL.
Do you or somebody have some realistic trades without butler?Comment

Are you wanting to win now or play for the future a bit? In general a starting 2/3 is what I would look to improve.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

I would see what you could package for Millsap/Baze. I'm sure you can get a good piece back for those two.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
i was thinking along those lines as well an legitimate 2-3 wing player someone in the mold of Jimmy Butler or an similar type player.
Was thinking also an big move as well like John Wall I don't really like Schroder's game and with the system think Wall would flourish in ATL. But don't know if Washington would trade in the division.NBA:Philadelphia 76ers

Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread
With these Klay rumors going around, what could possibly land klay on the nets? I know realistically it may be a long shot but why not talk about it for 2k purposes.
Lopez, Kirkpatrick/Bogs and maybe RHJ for klay and someone else. Throw in a protected pick from the nets and I think it would be a decent trade IMO. Warriors get their big man they've been missing, nets get a star to build around. What would you guys do with klay?
