Re: NBA 2K17 Trade Discussion Thread

    Hey Guys,

I Have bought 2K17 last week and started last evening a MyGM session with the Chicago Bulls. Any suggestions for a good trade?

So on my Tradelist are Rondo and maybe Lopez, to get rid of his high contract.

The players, which I will not trade are Butler and Valentine (to see, if he is a good Rookie)

I think that's fair. Although, with the picks likely being mid-to-late 1st, then you may have to give up a tad bit more.

Lopez, Kirkpatrick/Bogs and maybe RHJ for klay and someone else. Throw in a protected pick from the nets and I think it would be a decent trade IMO. Warriors get their big man they've been missing, nets get a star to build around. What would you guys do with klay?

That's not a bad trade value-wise for GS, but I'm just not sure that they Warriors would want to swap Klay for Lopez. I mean, Lopez is a good player, but not really what they need and certainly not at the expense of Klay (who is one of the best two-way guards in the league).

I don't think a scoring center is what GS's needs. I think they would rather have a high energy center, who's more of a shot blocker... basically, someone on a cheap deal who can do what Bogut did for them. And trading Klay opens up too much of a hole at SG. If the were to trade Klay I think they would want a good two-way SG in return. Someone who can still knock down 3's and can guard their opponents best guard so that Curry doesn't have to. In my opinion, they would have to bring in someone like Middleton or Avery Bradley to replace Klay. I'm not sure that Kirkpatrick/Bogs/RHJ could do that. It would certainly help GS with their depth issue, but I'm just not sure if I like the fit.

I need some help here. I'm playing as the Celtics. SG Gerald Green has been horrendous. He can't shoot and he's not that good of a perimeter defender. Who is a solid SG that has 3-point range shooting ability and is an average/above average defender? I don't need an all star, I just need a backup to Avery Bradley who can shoot a little.

I want to bring Nerlens Noel to Golden State. Trade finder gives me Pachulia and '19 1st for Noel, which I would do, but what is fair value?

That's too much for Klay. Throw out 1st round picks and you got it fair. And Middleton is too good and too talented to be used just for defense

I am myself thinking about starting my league with Blazers and since i want some low post presence i am targeting left out Monroe in Bucks. I think a trade including Turner, Ed Davis and a 2nd rounder for Monroe should be enough?

If you want a young guy, I'd suggest Luwawu from the Sixers.

Playing MyLeague 30 Team Control and I'm wondering if a few of these trades I might do in the offseason would be fair value.

Heat trade Whiteside to Pelicans for #9 pick in the draft

Celtics trade #2, a future 1st (one sure to be in the lottery) to Kings for Cousins

Also any ideas on what Elfrid Payton could return? Magic can also attach the 16th pick in the draft.

Terrible for Whiteside. Not nearly enough

Probably need to toss in someone like Crowder or Bradly to make that Cousins trade work. Two lottery picks is good but if one is a 12 or 13 then not so much.

Payton is an average to below average PG at this point. Hasn't shown much improvement on his shot, which is his achilles heel. I'm not a fan so I wouldn't trade a lottery pick straight up for him. Not sure he's that much better than an Ish Smith type you can find on the bargain bin every offseason.

Vucevic plus 1st pick for Bledsoe and len?

                      Knight for Rubio?

Suns will have a lineup of: rubio, booker, warren, chriss/bender, vucevic plus 2 future 1st pick for 2017.

                      Thoughts?

I've seen worse packages for Cousins. Guess it depends on how disruptive he's being on the Kings

Not sure Memphis would want to trade Davis so early. Lot of folks thinnk he was a steal with a 2nd round contract for a guy talked up as lottery. I think the Kings would jump since McLemore has been a bust and needs a new home to try and get his game together.

That spurs trade for Kanter is awful. No way the Spurs want a defensive liability like Kanter. yeah it's not a huge price (late 1st if they have a normal spurs year and a fading 3 and D guy in Green) but he's just a bad fit for the Spurs. Kings would be happy just to ditch the contract of Gay, so anything they get is fine by them.

Probably not quite enough for Blake.

In my Celtics MyLeague I'm at the 17-18 offseason and just signed Gordon Hayward to be my SF. I'm thinking about trading Crowder and/or Brown to get a big.

How about a three team deal for something like this?

                            BOS Trades - Jae Crowder, Jaylen Brown, 2018 1st (BRK), 2019 1st (MEM - Top 5 Protected)

SAC Receives - John Wall, Jaylen Brown, 2019 1st (MEM - Top 5 Protected)

Washington just to PG Markelle Fultz with the 6th pick of the draft, so they could be moving on from Wall and Sacremento took PF Bam Adebayo with the 5th pick so WCS is expendable.
