This post pretty much sums up my entire 2k17 experience.

I just hope he got enough info before the update.

        I have a queation

Is ace update is working with custom roster ?because new jersey added dont work and i'm confused.

That is really important for roster makers.

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Re: Post patch sliders and shooting %

Hey guys, apologies for what could be viewed as a dumb question, but how do the ace updates work? Do those come along side a patch, or are they just on the fly patches the 2k team can make?

How would I know if I boot up the game that things have been changed/tweaked, if at all?

Long long time 2k offline player, and my frustration with how bad the cpu help defense and double tendencies are has actually forced me to post here (instead of just reading). It's been a long long time since I've been this hesitant to play, start up a franchise, etc. Hoping to see things get turned around soon.

So when's the update? Tonight or Friday morning?

Czar said in his stream yesterday there was a change in ACE in how the CPU chooses to do pull ups 3's in transition or attack the basket depending on numbers. He mentioned that if the CPU has numbers it look to attack the basket. That is the only known ACE change that he mentioned and I think he said some new plays for older teams..

If your CPU AI is not getting back on certain possessions and passing is faster there will be no way to defend the faster passing on those possessions.

Re: Post patch sliders and shooting %

I only played one game and intervened for a quarter in one other game and both games the CPU Shot 55%. This was on All Star with most shooting sliders on the low 40's and 3's at 48. It's a small sample size, so I can't complain too much. However, my shooting percentages were really nice for both user and cpu before (usually in the low to mid 40's and occasionally high 50's if a team had a really good game). I hope I can find that sweet shot again.

Oh, and I would love to see the CPU slow the pace just a tad. I only play with 12 minute quarters. In 2K16 I would frequently have games that ended with the winner scoring in the 90's or low 100's and in 2K17 the winner normally scores in the 115-120 range. I love to see a game end in the 90's or even 80's every now and then.

Here or in the impressions thread probably the best place to place it.

I am sure you PS4 guys can tell us what you think. If passing is so easy and fast that you can get passes in the lane then it will be harder to find a balance.
The computer ai on hof after the patch is insane..defense is a lil bit better less skating to me..in iso situations u have to really play on ball d...I play wit my slider on 0 on ball help defense because online its default to 0..now offline i would say 15 is good..the passin speed has improved to overall passes..now to close out on the cpu dont jump run towards the player an press n hold (do not flick) towards the rim depending on what camera angle u is play on (2k view is the best to play defense)...an u will get a speed boost to the contested shot.(i use manual defense on the L2 trigger dont know what it is for xbox)...so that should hepl with the fg%..

I'm seeing next to no pull ups and while they may have taken too many before, at least that could somewhat be addressed via roster edits (for people using the modes that can use edited rosters) which seems better than too little as a hard coded adjustment.

I didn't expect things to be so wonky after this patch. Hopefully something gets fixed fast. The percentages are laughably bad.
I'm on xbox one this year so haven't gotten the patch yet but thanks for the heads up

That would be a dream come true. With so much emphasis on skill this year by the developers I hope they continue that trend by removing green releases competely. It would make shooting more exciting because you won'tever be 100% sure if a shot isgoing in.

Czar said the only change they made was to limit the CPU's tendency to pull up for transition 3s in 2 on 1 situations.

Yes, let's take away the user's skill mechanisms completely, because that would be soooooo fun.

Mike, the.greens are fine. But, I think your ratings should effect your all amount of greens. Ex. No Hassan whiteside getting greens while anyone with a 755+ rating gets it regularly, while someone like curry gets an easier time

Change your name you don't deserve it. I don't need a meter to test my skill lol

I have everything off but if you need visual help to play better more power to you.
