wow, this is so much fun playing pro am with this sliders. no bull**** brickwall greens from limitless range, more inside and midrange game. 3s still falling consistent if taking smart shots. I just scored 21 being 8/9 including 5/6 threes with my shot creator.


Dont patch it away. The game was too easy, but now it feels like you really have to work for your points and if you don't get a good look from outside you cant force it like you were able to before patching.

Please Mike, don't go back to far with shooting if you tweak it again

He already is practically - check twitter - i agree with you i rather its a challenge then easy. Things like limitless range make the game feel cheap. Hopefully he doesn't touch overall shooting just green releases a bit.

Now that you all have had time to digest this, I can't help but say 'I told you so.' Maybe it's because I'm not one of the 'popular' guys around here, but I always make a point of saying:

"Be careful what you all wish for with these patches/tunings, because you're going to get it AND MORE. Remember, 2k patches/tunes in extremes."

"Be careful what you all wish for with these patches/tunings, because you're going to get it AND MORE. Remember, 2k patches/tunes in extremes."

But this change is really good only kids want to change it.

I dont understand what people are complaining about. I am shooting just fine. SURE I DON'T SHOOT LIKE I DID BEFORE. But I shoot still better then 50% so far from three mostly with shotcreator.

It's just that people got used to this nonsense the whole year and now it looks like percentages under 75% on open shots for 3 became unacceptable.
Sad community. And this is what I say being a guy who playd 2500 park and 500 pro am games.

Personally, I don't care what they do, as long as they don't touch my midranges. I'm a Shot Creator, so I don't shoot 3s that much anyway, unless it's from the corner. And I wouldn't DARE shoot a moving 3 unless my grand badge activates, because moving 3s are TRASH compared to standing 3s for Sharpshooters, even though they have the same rating.

I just find it funny that all this crying started after they practically BEGGED Mike to make shooting 3s harder.

have you already played it cael? Midranges and corner threes are just fine. Its just that you dont green from limitless and after stepbacks from top of the key and wings all day anymore. Thats all that changed.
And because you dont green it, its a little of a gambling right now. And also thats how it should be from limitless range.

It was a gamble before the adjustment from there also, if you did not green it.

This adjustment prevents a lot of 3 point cheese with double/single brickwalls and a following stepback, it prevents the most reliable bull**** playmaker move combination of 1. momentum cross -> behindtheback-> stepback hesi normal 1> 3pointer from left or right wing with a playmaker which was easy too green all day.

All in all it is just awesome.

So enough for me today, I am getting triggered too much by people saying it is too hard right now.
It is not, we are just totally brain washed by shooting >70% all 2k17 long

I enjoy the change so far. (Offline MyLeague. HOF Sliders)

My shooters feel like shooters, and open looks seem to be rewarded at a higher clip than contested shots, which was a complaint of mine previously. Bad shooters feel bad shooters, and those in between guys (like Terrence Jones) are dangerous if left all alone on an island but don't feel like knock down shooters.

No complaints thus far, and it forces me to look fight for good shots in my players' hot zones.

Yeah, was playing it all morning. Like I said, it doesn't bother me one bit because of my shot selection and the types of shots I shoot. Hell, if anything, everyone finally gets see what it's like to shoot like Shot Creators on moving 3s from the wings and top of the key, lol.

I'm still a near 70% shooter from the floor, and 60% from 3, so my game hasn't changed.

Awesome change, yet it will get reverted back due to whiny, unintelligent kids bitching on Twitter who have never watched a basketball game other than Steph Curry mixtapes on YouTube.

This is by FAR the best the game has played all year but because of crybaby children with face tattoo characters and xXKillahXx in their username it won't last.

Sigh.

lol, I've turned around. See a lot of bums bricking stupid shots. Love it, love it. I'm still shooting high percentages. Just a lot less bail-outs for the come-ups.

Precisely - this patch rewards smart players - which is how it should be. The main skill that should separate players should be Basketball IQ related. When the game has things like limitless range/posterizer/relentless etc - it just rewards bad shots and makes people play less team ball which is not the way it should be. You should be forcing players to play team ball - is a team game at the end of the day. Yet it rarely feels like it. When you have a bad team full of players like this - it's like playing 1 v 9.

I have a feeling it won't last. Hopefully i'm wrong.

In practice I shot 10 only made 2 three point shots, no greens. There's nothing really realistic about that. nothing sim about that. i underdig the issue but aint a thing realistic about this. Im just talking about practice. Not the game... lol Practice!

This is basketball folks. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO SOME DUMB GREEN RELEASE JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE OPEN.


And let me clarify. I've got no problem if someone shoots that for a game. Sometimes players get hot and have games like that. But NOT as an average. Shooters get cold too. This game should be about working for shot quality, and if your shot isn't falling, then you contribute in other ways or try to get an easy basket to get your rhythm back, like you would in a real game. The mentality this year was just "I'm open so I should make this" and yes, kudos to you for getting open, but expecting to make it every time is totally absurd.
