We all know virtual currency isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I may be in the minority here, but going on 6 years with it I've seemed to have gotten used to it. I like the fact that If people want to get a headstart on their MyPlayers, that option to purchase is there for them. All I know is that VC is near the bottom of my list of things wrong with 2K17. To each his own.

It seems severs rotate difficulties . I judge by practice mode on HOF. IF i can hit everything without decent releases i dont even log into PNO because its a 3pt shootoutComment

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
Honestly , I always stop playing 2K around The start of Playoff time in Real life NBA
1) MyCareer is extremely repetitive after about Year 2 or 3 ..
2) MyGM keeps my attention but after awhile I usually just start over and rebuild a new team... the AI free agent signing, and Trade Logic is Terrible.... Teams end up waaaay too mixed up after about year 3
3) Online Playnow is terrible, servers horrible... hardly can get consistent good connected games, plus control online is Very horrible (timing, defense, etc due to poor server
4) I don't care for MyPark which is 2Ks clear priority
5)Not a fan of Crew/Pro Am ... only due to the matchups .... nothing like being a PG Playing with a SG and a bunch of 6'7 - 7' big men who are all behind the 3 or line with me and the SG ... like can someone get inside
But that's about it for me... I usually trade 2K in a little after All-Star break and wait until the next

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
Fired up the game last night for the first time in a long time and lol'ed that they never fixed the Paul George screen. Surely a ton of people quit playing because they had to wait 10 minutes for the game to load every time.Comment

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
Having a loading screen error is embarrassing to begin with. Shouldn't be in existence in 2017.

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
2k15 is more fun. Gameplay is smarter and better. Got bored with my career. I can't say exactly but 17 just didn't have the personality or spunk of previous 2k games. The player models really were unacceptable

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
I stopped playing because the gameplay felt too arcade-y. I spent months trying to get sim gameplay. I never was able to enjoy the game. It was too predictable, too scripted, and it never felt the least bit realistic.
I put on the live demo just for kicks and it's everything I was trying to get out of 2k. The shooting percentages, defense, crowd atmosphere (especially in 4th quarter), physics, player movement, shooting, player AI and IQ... everything felt so smooth and free flowing and fun. The game feels unpredictable. It feels sim. I've had the game unfold in so many ways on the same difficulty.
Runs and momentum don't feel cheesy or scripted. Players aren't just making shots because they missed the last one. Every shot feels unique.
All my complaints with 2k seemed solved with Live.
Live definitely needs some tweaking and more depth in terms of of the little things and signatures, but the players feel and play a lot like themselves. Strength, weight, athleticism matters.
I feel like 2k has maxed out. Live is still raw, but the upside seems much higher.
I love Live's direction. I'm not a fan of the way 2k has gone and looks to be going, and I don't know if I will continue to buy it's product.
I prefer live's gameplay, and I feel like it is ahead of 2k in the core areas of basketball.Comment

2K17 did feel/play like it's almost lost itself in new features on top of new features on top of new features...... at some point, 2K played BEAUTIFULLY and I feel things just get added and added and added as new features..... but those features aren't quite complete. Then the launch date arrives, game launches and patches keep rolling out to try and finish/polish these new features.....
If the game was a little bit more "bare" there'd be more polish.
2K17 just felt/seemed a little convoluted at times. For example, all the new defensive options (junk, boxes and elbows etc.) but basic stuff didn't work. PnR defense was at it's all time weakest IMO.
Just briefly on NBA Live (again, purely for example - not trying to start a war) - Live is still fairly new and hasn't developed nearly as many things. And I think we're seeing how "bare" can be a good thing.
Sometimes, less is more.
I'd like to find out that 2K18 didn't add so much.....but more so, polished a lot more. From the impressions we've all read/seen, this seems to be the general consensus.
23 said it well - let Czar and OG loose and we'd definitely get a good insight..... here's hoping.Comment

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
I stopped playing MyPlayer and MyTeam very early on because its way to much Pay2Win. I played like 20hrs of MyPlayer and was ****ing 66 OVR... in earlier Games it was very easy to get ~75 without any Grind. This Year they made it basically mandatory to buy VC if you want to have fun in that Gamemode.
MyLeague is the only Mode I played because its the ****ing only Mode without VC.
I bet they will have the same Garbage in 2K18.Comment

You can get around the 80s but then you have to play the game for unlocking upgrades to get to 95 and badges.Comment

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
They better have a progression bar for the badges this time around. I mean it's not like we've been asking for something like that since these badges were introduced.

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
I stopped because of the lack of player control, sometimes needing to fight with my controller, pushing my character in a certain direction and he simply won't respond to input. Fired up 2k17 again lately, but it's stuff in the video below that continues to add to the frustration.
I don't recall the exact scenario. I think I may have switch over to Durant or I may have actually been controlling Durant all along. I'm trying to move Durant to cover the corner three, but the computer moves Durant towards the center baseline. This is not even an isolated incident. It happens often enough that it sticks out like a sore thumb. It even happens to the CPU. These are just one example of trying to fight for control of my character, there are other situations where fighting with the control happens.
I have included two videos. I am affected in the first video (warriors vs sonics). The CPU is affected in the second video (warriors vs celtics).
Example 1: Durant (user controlled, fighting with controller) runs towards the baseline away from the shooter (cpu).

Example 2: Isaiah Thomas (CPU) runs towards the baseline away from the shooter (user).

Always rubbed me the wrong way. I can't remember but I wanna say 2K14, as nice looking as that game was, every game was within 2 points it felt like. No matter the skill gap. I don't get that, their close game atmosphere isn't any good to begin with.

Re: Why did you stop playing 2K17?
I stopped playing 2k17, when 2k18 got to be a month away.
Live actually put out a product better than Live 2010 finally, only took 7 years. But it's a shiny new (old?) toy, they still have years to go before they actually compete with 2k, product for product.
It is fun though I'll give it that.Comment
