This is the best 2K gameplay ever. I just love all the little interactions and animations that make the game very lifelike.

However, I still have issues with how the dribbling feels. I think the Absolute setting on the dribbling is pretty messed up this year, because it's basically semi-Camera Relative.

I'm still patiently waiting for that patch which:

- Fixes CAPs - This is the biggest screw up in 2K18, besides all the VC issues.
- Fixes All-Time roster badges - I couldn't tell but apparently it's messed up? Has it been updated.
- Fixes layups - 2K needs to tweak these so that we can actually make layups against CPU. In fact, just tweak it so that every slider at 50/50 is equal. Also, give back the layup meter.

I wish fatigue worked this way for guys who use their point guards to score and chase the ball all over the court: the more you chase, the faster you get tired and your shot should suffer drastically. Example, I'm playing against Kimba Walker. The guy scores 30 AND is chasing me all over the court for the entire game? Really!?!

Another thing I forgot to mention is that finally one of my biggest problems with 2K was addressed and that is you finally have more than one timeout if you use SimCast and intervene at the beginning of the 4th Quarter.

Since its inception a few years ago you would also just have one timeout per team and that's never the case in real life. I've requested this to be fixed every year and they finally got to it, so kudos 2K.

I really wish 2K could find a way to make passing smarter, and if not at least make the directional passing more responsive.

Go into controller settings at the very bottom you can change pass target profile from default to openness, direction or custom.

At default the sliders are the following

Pass target direction - 45
Pass target distance - 50
Pass target Openness - 5

Just up target direction or switch to direction and it should make passing better for what you want to do.

As for your question Pack definitely massive hyperbole.

I've not had any significant issues with it Pack. I'd say hyperbole, but then again without those complaints having some sore of video or something to show the issues it's really hard to know if the complaints are justifiable or not.

Did they easy the substitutions in this game? More like the old 2k games? Where you just press down once and you can sub immediately? I DESPISED 17 substitution and play calling control scheme.

Anyone notice if players jump in the air at random after a basket?

There's a corner 3 discussion? I logged on today to check about corner 3s, so I guess I'm not alone...

Been playing with the Wolves, and Nemanja Bjelica is left wide open in the corner every single time. No matter the team, his man (in my current game, Jae Crowder) will stand right under the basket, even when Bjelica is one pass away.

I can just rain 3s with Bjelica every time down if I want to. I've even bumped his 3pt rating up (at least 82) and everyone still refuses to guard him. The game is far from unplayable (most I've enjoyed a new 2k gameplay, out of the box), but it does start to take a toll once you start looking for it (hard not to do when a man is continually left open, even after he's made 3 in a row).

Pack,

The 'Otto Porter' situation kind of just is what it is....the (barring any changes) default way defenders sag off shooters to protect the paint...I can confirm it can be discarded and doesnt override your personal setting changes...

Now WTFs videos are still a legitimate issue...where defenders can take bad angles on their defenders....but in my personal experience....its not something I am seeing take place every game like in NBA 2K17 where defenders would do those awful swim moves and completely lose positioning.

I still plan on posting a full game of mine...so you can get a good picture of whete those issues stand on Superstar level and in different situations....

The only complaint I have is that passing is still mehh.. they've done a great job speeding up the passing and making it more natural, but I still have instances where the pass goes nowhere remotely close to where I'm wanting to pass the ball.

Directional passing never works for me, if I don't have time to use the icon passing the pass almost never goes where I want. Want to hit the cutter or the guy rolling off the screen who's the obvious pass option considering he's going to get a layup/dunk? Not happening, instead a chest level bullet pass intended for a player all the way across the court that 8/10 times is just picked off by the defense.

I really wish 2K could find a way to make passing smarter, and if not at least make the directional passing more responsive.

The "game within a game" of PnR needs to be enhanced. They need to make a sub-passing system unique to PnR situations. Not sure exactly how they'd do but they need to make it easy to pass to the roll/pop man. A one-button system so you can execute the quick decision that needs to be made. Maybe automatically have an icon stay over the screener's head for the few seconds after the screen is set.

When doing manual PnR and holding LB, after the screener comes leave the LB icon over his head so you can use A/directional passing for other guys, hit LB to pass to the screener or use X/RS to shoot w/ the ball handler. You can still use icon passing if you're enough of a stick wizard and can pull it off in time.

In set plays, when a screener comes over have the LB icon automatically come over his head and use the same idea. Basically, icon passing for only the roll man but without the need to bring up his icon, the action of setting a ball screen automatically brings up the "LB" icon while all other icon passing assignments stay the same.

Only problem I have with All-Star is the number of made 3's, especially corner 3's.
