Front office destroyed the team after we win the chip, obviously. We lost Capela, who was so important to us defensively for blocking shots and denying offensive rebounds. On the other end he’d get the offensive rebounds and go back up or kick it out for a 3.

So now we have a lineup of Paul, Harden, me, Jamychal Green and Al Jefferson. I
Defensively, it’s one of the worst lineups I’ve ever seen in a 2K game. I need to hit 90 overall ASAP to affect this because it’s no fun to play on. We’re giving up 125 points through our first three games. We don’t even have a backup PG.

You know you can skip all the games of the prelude right?

You can, but only if you quit the mode, then load up the mode again, which takes forever both ways, and you have to do it for each prelude game, and on top of that you still can't skip cutscenes so there you go.

One thing I do against screens in My Career is I hold A (Xbox) and this signifies to my AI teammates that I'm switching to their nearest man. They will then pick up a different man. It won't work in the modes where you control all five players.

Not having cutscenes every 5 minutes makes this a whole different game

True but a lot of those cutscenes are pivotal to move on throughout the game bc certain cutscenes trigger endorsements and other things. Otherwise your story is gonna be worse than what it is bc the cutscenes will be out of order lol. I did exactly what u did and found that I actually enjoyed the cutscenes bc it gets so watered down when there aren’t anymore cutscenes. So just something to keep in mind. Another suggestion is if u don’t really want the cutscenes, start a my league and create and player and lock onto him in position settings. Press up on the D-pad to bring up his stats in the corner just like my career. What’s cool this year is that the created players actually develop. I started out 75 overall coming off the bench for CP3, as well as created shammy so they can both be my mentors. Already, 16 games in and I’m at a 79. Depends on the player progression slider which I put at 60. I got tired of my career quick so this has helped me maintain the desire to actually play the game. Forget that 90 overall crap. I’m just doing my league more now and my career every now and then. My league is the way to go this year.

Somewhat but I think 2k picks up on it when you are abusing something lol.. I abuse the iso a lot bc that seems to be the only way to score when driving to the basket without turning over the ball. That animation has to be the most annoying crap ever. If I’m 208 lbs and someone like Kemba walker is guarding me, I have no business turning over the ball from a simple body bump. Smh. Turnovers I’ve realized are inevitable to avoid in this game. Anyone that says otherwise is lying lol..2k finds a way every game for me to get at least one turnover.

But to answer the original question I think this does work but for me what i usually do is jusy press L1 and it brings up the icons for the players and whichever teammate is nearest the ball I’ll tap his button and sometimes, not all the time SOMETIMES lol they will actually go and play help defense. Another thing that helps me to is in the controller settings I put my AI help defensive setting sliders all the way to 100 and that’s helped a lot too.

This might be go in the bug and glitches, but I asked Reese puffs for their best and final offer like 6 games ago along with 20+park games in there and heard nothing. Anyone else experience this and/or know a trigger that might help?

2K really needs to put an end to this side kick 99 three point shooting bull****. I generally leave the team I’m drafted by because usually I go to the Cavs after a season, but this time I left the Cavs and now I have Shammy Wells, a guy who isn’t my matchup because he’s a 2 guard and I’m a small forward, putting up 30 on us, shooting 8 for 13 from 3 because 2K thinks you need a team mate who has 9 gold shooting badges to enjoy MyCareer. It’s ridiculous man. Not quite last year when Justice was a defensive force with a 99 three but not much better either because your team mates give up open looks on the perimeter so much more this year.

This literally decides games too. I’m putting up 38 on 12/17 shooting and keeping LeBron down to 20 on 8/20 shooting. But because he has gold dimer, and Shammy has gold everything related to shooting threes, those 30 points are the difference because we’re down 21.

Dude I feel you!!! I just became a 90 overall and im able to influence trades and free agency, so the first chance I get im shipping him out of LA (im with the lakers btw). Another thing that irks me and is a eye sore is that they gave him the number 8 to wear on his jersey. Its just a eye sore to see him with one of kobe's numbers, especially since he just got both of them retired monday night.

The most outrageous game of this rookie SG's season .. the Clippers are tearing us a new one.. up by 25 at half.. Griffin destroying Gorgui Gieng (KAT is out 2-4 months as I posted the other day, his second major injury of the season) .. I was ready to just foul out on purpose down that much but I managed to force the game to overtime.. Griffin with 48 points in regulation, I just starting driving every possession.. actually ball hogging for 57 in regulation scoring 17 in the third and 23 in the 4th JUST to force overtime.. I hate doing that .. but still at least got the triple double again

Paused to take a few minute break .. Managed to get Butler to actually shoot the ball for the second game in a row.. his first game in double digits scoring (a whole 11 points) in 2 months of games.

By the way.. why can't my 6'5 SG close the distance on Griffin when he's leading a fast break? I know it's always been a 2K issue but he went from the opposite 3 point line to the bucked on a layup and I never gained an inch!

The game is mad at me in Overtime.. I got one shot blocked on a layup.. got a snowflake symbol and we're getting blown out in OT .. thanks 2K

I am playing mycareer on ps4. My agent, Bryan, gave me a task. "Go to the Pro Am Walk On Arena". But I don't have ps plus because I don't play online. What should I do? Is the task very important?

It’s not important at all, I wouldn’t worry, I’m in my third season and haven’t touched online
