Actually there's alot of motion against good opponents, they're not gonna let you sit anyplace. Easy? lol...you've obviously never chased Korver around all game.

Its funny because I first started guarding the 2 when they first put catch/shoot in. Its the best way to avoid screens and prevent from getting killed via pin-downs....

People are gonna test you OB as well. That never lasts very long after they see i'm not a fish tho. So OBD it is rewarded plenty--I see it all the time when I sub in all defense and i'm using Wilson Chandler to defend two's. PRACTICE MODE, sport.

[emoji23] Mortal Combat is a single player game with absolutely zero teammate AI--so that's pretty much the worst example you could give. If you practiced as much as you whined/cried the problem would solve itself. I'm still dying laughing at you wanting them to make the AI weaker so you can score tho. What do you do when the opponent starts running plays for the player you're guarding? Move to a different player?

Sure that's a lazy example but you got my point. I could have used a number of other game examples that I have in the past with bots running around that should be better than the human?

Why don't YOU defend the PNR instead of asking 2K to make it more difficult. Then you say that leaves people open for 3s. Well pick your battle you can't have it both ways.

Not sure where I said make the AI defense weaker? It's fine as it is. We're talking about D here not O which you keep bringing back to. I guess you don't care much for defense that much is evident.

I'm not chasing Korver because I'm guarding the ball handler lol PLUS I'm having to watch behind for someone such as a Korver to get open. I'm having to do 2 things at once.

Meanwhile you sit in the corner and watch the action unfold. Double if you need to or chase the shooter.

Why do you as a human defender get to beat screens better than a bot chasing the shooter. Cus you are the human.

Let's not pretend how "hard" it is to off ball. You do it because it's easier and that's how the game is made.

If onball was conducive to winning you would do it.

Guys online still like to try to steal the inbounds pass on 99.9% of possesions.


Some guy tried to run zone on me.


I was up 57-33 by the end of the 3rd quarter. Why anyone thinks it's a good idea to run zone in the current NBA is beyond me.


If you play offball and it works for 1 quarter while I'm trying to play sim and run plays? Nah, I'm just going to straight up abuse whoever you are guarding (Or, if I have someone like Damian Lillard I'm just going to abuse the AI with the PNR until they hit the screen and give up an open 3 or an open lane). Dribble handoffs, PNR, Dribble Handoffs into PNR's, Fake Dribble Handoffs, Postups, Post Entry into a Give and Go, Pindowns, Pindowns directly into yet another pick and roll/fade. I'm going to give you that work.



I'm going to make you mess up, and in turn, make the CPU AI mess up, which often translates into an open 3. If you (speaking generally) are that determined to not guard the ballhandler I'm going to be equally determined to make you miserable on defense by making your AI teammates give up Open 3's or dunks/layups.

Nah I don't switch off...lol I defend them. Pin Downs aren't hard to stop if you do your work early. Most guys try some kind of iso...I move my feet and squeeze them toward the help. This guy was probably one of the best "dribble gods" I saw this year. It wasn't that hard to stop after I noticed what he liked to do and shaded him to help. Its not like I can't play D....I just know mitigating the AI's overhelp is priority.

I've seen maybe 2 guys that were just really good enough that made me have to leave JJ. One guy had Klay and this other guy had Derozan in 2K18. Even in the Korver game above when I sicced Ben on him in the 4th we were already up 12--and it was mainly to see if he'd struggle vs a better defender with length. He put up points but shot so inefficiently the points were empty.

You off-ball but you WHINE about it?....i'll let this be my last response because you can't even get your argument straight--and your issues with comprehension might be contagious. I don't know why that's such a complex idea for you but you're just gonna have to figure it out on your own.

Who's whining about off ball or saying I want the AI D to be weaker? Where did I say that? I'm saying how can you expect the AI D to better when you just want to offball. It's not my comprehension or gaming logic that needs work.

We were talking about you not wanting to defend PNR so 2K needs to apparently make the AI better. Now you changed the argument to AI transition D? You just switched it up but I can't get my argument straight lol.

Of course! Remember back in 2K14 just before the game start there this stat telling you how much users use the number one online team which was Miami at the time. 2K knows how much people uses GSW! They collect metadata all the time but yet don’t “want” to fix certain things in the game!

Yeah thats a trip right? Sucks but it'll make you better. We lost Jah late in 2K16 to a knee injury when my roster was below a 70 OVR already. Some of the toughest online games i've ever played--also some of the most rewarding. I know you still gonna rep your squad.

How to honestly beat the Warriors users? Even guys with a win rate of less than 40% is beating me when they use that team but I can win against guys with 60-70% is they use another team.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I think on-ball D AND defensive settings adjustments should be paramount. If not, you have no real ground to stand on. My most elite games consist of all three (off-ball, on-ball and defensive settings) being dialed in.

When I off-ball too much, or even on-ball too much while not being cognizant of the play developing, it can be disastrous against the right team.

Kush, do you individually adjust your defensive settings prior to a game? If not, you are literally guessing on what your AI defenders will do half the time. With everything individualized, you know and can play to the scheme you designed and prevents a lot of headaches.

Half of the AI defensive lapses are due to the defensive settings are on 'auto.' Play on HOF against the Warriors and you'll see why its a requirement.

You already know, lol. I used them for the entire year when Paul George was out. It's a big deal, but it's not a big deal. The Pacers are so incredibly deep in this video game, that the injury shouldn't really impact the team overall. Truthfully, Victor wasn't my main offensive threat. It was always whoever had the hot hand.

However, I used the classic Pacers team last night, and I easily smashed both of my opponents by 20 + points. That team is just big at all positions, and Hibbert be locking down the paint.
