When I off-ball too much, or even on-ball too much while not being cognizant of the play developing, it can be disastrous against the right team.

Thats cool...i've been doing this awhile tho. Not saying you haven't but I can see most plays coming now. This guy was the 2nd-best player I played this year--his stick skill was Elite AND he mixed in alot of pin-downs, ect for Middleton, Bledsoe and Brogdon. Thats a lethal combo with Giannis. He also was a savvy vet, he didnt run stuff too much and get you familiar. He ran this late and if I didn't see it coming it would have cooked us.

Watch how the AI Ben Simmons get screened but I know what angle to take. He also tried it once more late but I was there again.

Here's a guy last year with Portland. My best defender (1st team all-defense) would have fallen for that Rub if I didnt go off-ball on CJ. Its why I laugh when people say its frowned upon.

The notion that I have to just allow that to happen because of some "rules" inside someone's head is PURE COMEDY.

Here Klay almost got me (I usually see the 5 Rub coming) I was late and should have know better but he hadn't run it all game. Elite players are smart--they're only gonna run their good stuff when they need it, you have to be ready.

Moral of the story is Elite players in this game will EMBARASS you if you think all the threats are right there in front of you and aren't skilled in stopping guys on and off-ball...but to each his own lol.

Intimately. Its why I know the AI did something stupid when I see an open shot. Which is why you have to mitigate them as much as possible. This is from today...TJ has no reason to leave Tatum and help Jimmy but does because...you know, AI and stuff. BANG.

I can pull these out all day, because they happen almost every game.

Different play styles are good--as long as the opponent isnt using gameplay glitches/loopholes that make your guys do stuff they shouldn't or isn't trying to manipulate the AI there aren't any complaints.

How to honestly beat the Warriors users? Even guys with a win rate of less than 40% is beating me when they use that team but I can win against guys with 60-70% is they use another team.

KD iso and Steph pick and roll spam is almost unbeatable with 5-out offense. I haven't tried them since Cousins signed with them, but based on previous years, I would never have close games if I used that team.

There's zero reason for Ben to crash down...JoJo catches Chriss and everyone's accounted for in the paint.

I'm starting to think that might be a ratings/tendency issue. I really don't have many problem with weird AI lapses, but I do so much icon switching, I probably don't give it a chance to rear its ugly head.

Could be. I'll keep an eye out.

What do you do when the opponent starts running plays for the player you're guarding? Move to a different player?

This is why you don't switch off--there's a delay and the player has to recover from it (watch Noel)...its another reason I like to stay on one guy. There's a delay--we've all switched a guy and he's already in the process of an action (a foul for instance) defeats the purpose for me.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I think on-ball D AND defensive settings adjustments should be paramount. If not, you have no real ground to stand on. My most elite games consist of all three (off-ball, on-ball and defensive settings) being dialed in.

When I off-ball too much, or even on-ball too much while not being cognizant of the play developing, it can be disastrous against the right team.

Kush, do you individually adjust your defensive settings prior to a game? If not, you are literally guessing on what your AI defenders will do half the time. With everything individualized, you know and can play to the scheme you designed and prevents a lot of headaches.

Half of the AI defensive lapses are due to the defensive settings are on 'auto.' Play on HOF against the Warriors and you'll see why its a requirement.

That's what settings are for and you have to live with your decision if you want to off ball while PNR is being run. Can't have it both ways.

I also dash these days to prevent my blood boiling. If I want a challenge or I keep getting them in a row after dashing however I might play them.

Try settings No Threes, Don't leave defender, and Limit Transition at least that will give you a chance against absolute novices. Even then they will still have a chance when they get desperate and start making contested 3s which Curry, Klay do in IRL too but not at the % of 2K haha

I just played the warriors for the first it time. Beat them by 2 after having a 15 point lead. He kept iso with Klay. Doing step back 3's. I'm sure he's never seen a inbound play lol...

All these clips resulted into points for my opposition. This is just SOME of the bull**** that is up with this game. Like 25% of it. I do all this **** and only manage to get 5 steals opposed to my opponent's 3? AND still manage to get allow more points of turnovers? This **** is rigged yo. Look at the offensive rebounds my team allows too! I got this **** set on crash the glass and it still dont do ****. And all of a sudden the dame and cj become as wet as steph and klay taking contested shots. Mixed with Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins becoming post gods. But when I use them, they become scrubs missing open shots. This deflection **** happens every ****in PNO game I play. What else am I supposed to do? Im pushing all the right buttons and I only won by 5 to a dude jackin up contested 3s with dame only for all the long misses to result into an offensive rebound because the AI in this game is terrible. The worse part is, if I even dare to attempt these passes, its an automatic steal that is CAUGHT CLEAN thus resulting into a fastbreak. But when someone does it to me, 2k lets that **** slide by. This game is absolutely rigged man! Absolutely rigged and 2k isn't even trying to hide it. This **** is so blatantly rigged my god.

Played one of your fellow INDY brethren online tonight. He was pretty good too--you could tell he usually did work with Turner and Oladipo (Evans stated at the 2) but he got outta his gameplan tryna go at me with Bogdanovic. I'm in my element chasing shooters, he couldn't have known that tho. Its funny because he ended up putting BB at the 4 to get away from me after it was obvious I wasnt a fish. You guys are deep tho....I gave him props for sticking to his guns.
