Also I had another thought I havent seen discussed on here. The 2k20 all time Lakers are going to have Lebron as well, probably 97 ovr+. That is adding another insanely glitchy player to already the best team in the game. How is 2k going to handle this? I dont think its going to be fair to use them at all unless 2k puts an algorithm in that will only match the all time Lakers with the all time Lakers.

And then 2k21 they will have AD too, probably at 96-97 ovr. That's gonna be crazy

Lol All Time teams are crazy already as if adding LBJ is going to change much.

I hope they remove All Time from PNO. If dudes wanna play that **** where the AI does half the work for you then do that outside of PNO. Stop leveling up with that nonsense.

I love Classic teams but AT is just straight cheese.

Honestly, the more and more I play NBA Live, the more I start to realize that 2K isn't an organic game when it comes to things just happening randomly.

In NBA 2k, I can almost call it when a rebounds going to be grabbed unexpectedly, or my opponents about to hit a contested shot. It seemed like everything in the game is predetermined within milliseconds of the action. For example, the game has already decided who's going to get the rebound while the shots in the air. I can't tell you how many times I have seen somebody already jumping for a rebound and getting it, and the ball haven't touched the rim yet. Long story short, NBA 2K has too many shenanigans that be happening against the common sense of basketball outcomes.

the game is 95% pre-detemined animations. They have little to no live physics other than the ball occasionally being poked loose.

They have badge boosts that can override blocked shots and change the trajectory to still go in.

I just recently got into Play Now Online as our pro am team stopped playing until 2k20. Been having a blast and got to NBA ranks. I have a question on lineups. Is there a way I can edit these prior to playing? Outside of the pre game window of course. I got excited to unlock the All-Time Pelicans as a fan. Their lineup starts Paul, Baron, Mashburn, West, Davis.

I start Peja, Davis, Chandler. Can I build this somewhere so when I play as these guys I don’t have to make those changes in the pre game screen each time? Other teams fall this way for me as well but this is just one example. Thanks for any insight.

I'm guessing it's for the player lock mode, but don't quote me on that.

That's main reason why I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo against badges being in the NBA game. I don't care about the MyPlayer part of it, but the NBA part shouldn't have badges. When I play offline with a roster where none of the players have badges, the game plays so much different feels more "real".

Mike Wang explained why the above situation occurred (I think I posted a video, and he responded directly to me), but I think I concluded that the game had already determined that the shot was going despite whatever the defense does to stop it.

Of course, there will always be that group the says badges separates superstars from regular players and makes certain players more specialized. Obviously, my counter-argument will always be "But that's why we have ratings.". Hell, I wouldn't mind if they did like NBA Live (geez, I've been d-riding this game a lot these past two weeks, lol. However, I have to give them their props when it comes to seeing "proper" basketball outcomes.) where players are only given 3 or less badges.

Unfortunately, you can't save your roster changes, so that it will be the same for the next game. We used to be able to back on PS3 and X-Box 360 before NBA 2K11.

That's a good question lol I didnt know the answer until I looked it up just now.

There are two "Control Types" you can play with. Most people choose team control but there is a "Player Control" option as well which means you are on a team with 5 other people (basically like a rec or pro Am game). When you unlock legend players it means you can use these players in the player control option.

As boomproductions said, it is for the player control mode, where you take one player (a little like pro-am) and use only him. You can choose between current players and legends by pressing square to change player and then RT/R2 to toggle to the legends (LT/L2 to toggle back). It's a ton of fun, but doesn't really help you rank up.

It's supposed to help you rank up, but I couldn't figure out when the games counted or didn't. Personally, I think they just need to take that mode out. I can't imagine it being that popular with MyPlayer being around. I played some games here and there, but most people tend to quit before the half depending on the score.

Right. I've played it a lot and it seems decently random as to which Tier the win gets counted in. So random, in fact, that I've had player control wins that should have filled the last tier win I needed to rank up that reset me instead.

Exactly. In the beginning, I had originally planned to use the Pacers for Tier 2 games, 70-71 Bucks for the Tier 3 games, and NBA players for the Tier 1 games. I stopped playing it, because my Tier 1 games weren't counting, and I didn't feel like spending time to finish the games if I'm not going to get credit for them.

Tf is wrong with this game? Off of made baskets dudes can just launch fullcourt passes into traffic successfully 99% of the time... these mf’s really reward dudes who make stupid decisions over and over and over again.

Dudes i be going against make a REALLY bad pass where i user deflect it, only for the ball to conveniently find its way back to my opposition to get an easy layup/foul...
2ks logic: bad pass = 2 free points

How will these ******* players learn if they keep handicapping them. At least in madden if you throw a terrible pass, that **** is getting intercepted more times than not

I don't know about the full court passes, but the game does feel like (at times) that the offense can take more risks or play stupidly and not be penalized as they should. It's like when I'm playing against Damian Lillard. I can change my settings to focus on him defensively to force other players to beat me, and this fool is still able to nail contested 3PT shots and drive the lane with ease. YES, I understand he's great player IRL, but not to the point where he'll still get his numbers no matter what the defense does. Truthfully, the only player that I felt had that level of willpower and sheer determination was Jordan.

This game is truly messed up sometimes. I just had a game where the dude was turboing fast break the whole game but my players are the ones are around 70 or below for energy and I consciously sub well every game wtf!!? The game let him hit everything so he could keep it close.

It's happened to me a number of times and I pretty much never fast break. The only time I might fast break strategically is 2nd, 3rd, 4th quarter if I notice the other guy is not going to sub and want to blow him out.

Even that is a crap strategy because 2K will still help the loosing team. You would think push the pace against fatigued players would be a huge boost but it ain't most of the time...
