It might not hurt to throw them a small asset, but I don't think they are many teams that would take on his salary. It would have to be a non FA city like Indiana or a team desperate like the Pelicans.

You could throw one of their young bigs like Giles or Bjinca if they have updated his rating to decent.

Okay guys so I’m the nets, I want more post offense (more offense in general too) so I’m targeting Jabari Parker. Faried matches up perfect contract wise. If I throw in Faried, Denver’s 2019 1st and a future 2nd is that enough to land Parker? Is it too much? Thanks in advance

Maybe you could throw in a talented wing or something. Faried for Cap reasons, a low pick and a young guy in the low 70s would be enough for me if I was the Bulls.

So Im thinking (too) far ahead as usual playing the Magic. I badly need a ballhandling guard and am thinking about Dennis Smith Jr. He is not doing well alongside Doncic but would be a huge upgrade for me, a great prospect while rebuilding and a potential trade chip. What is a fair price for him? I think I need to pay a little more than any team in reality, because he is way better in my 2k version. How about Isaac, whom I would miss very much, and the 2019 Lakers first rounder?

I think your trade would be good honestly. Dirk will retire and Isaac is 6’10” and could easily play PF.

When you say for my trade a low pick, are you saying a low first round pick or a 2nd round?

I just read an article that said a fair trade for Parker is: Napier, Faried, musa, and a 2019 second.

For Parker. Maybe I’m wrong but I think that’s way too much lol

A first would be fair, I guess.

Im not really sure if I want to part ways with Isaac. I went through some trade rumors and fount another option: Taking Barnes' huge contract so the Mavs are able to free up cap space. So the trade would be:

Magic get - Dennis Smith Jr., Harrison Barnes

Mavericks get - Some roster filler, 2019 Lakers first rounder

I get Smith, while I can take on Barnes' contract without any trouble. Mavericks lose a young guy who is not getting along with their franchise player and a solid, but expensive scorer, who isnt a long term solution anyway. On the other hand, they receive a future pick and cap flexibility to give Doncic a co-star.

I was reading on a potential magic Mavs trade and one that was brought up was Ross and vucevic for DSJ and Barnes. I’d do that if I was Magic honestly. Slide mo bamba right into a starting role.

DSJ Fournier Isaac Gordon Bamba that’s your starting 5. Barnes as 6th man. Good lord. Sign me up for that squad.

I personally wouldn't trade Isaac he is 6'10 and will be become A in perimeter defense a year or so down the line. The magic definitely need a G, but I would find a cheaper option and then land one in the offseason somehow.

I also get confused determining the value for Barnes in a trade for someone he is a solid player, but overpaid. If Dallas wipes away his salary it would be hard for them to sign anyone with a better overall then his but not impossible. I might say take on the bas contract of Powell instead.

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread

In my fantasy draft franchise I'm near the end of year 2, have made 3 trades so far. Valanciunis for DeAndre Jordan. I'm a contender so I'm sacrificing a younger player to upgrade with an older player. Good trade for both teams (and I won the championship). Aaron Baynes for a 71 OVR rookie. Not a big difference maker but the rookie has 98 open three pointer rating. JJ Reddick for Terrence Ross and a 2nd rounder. Reddick has been disappointing as my 6th man, just didn't seem to fit well with my team. Ross fills the same role but much younger.

Does anyone think there is a trade for the Hawks to get Brandon Ingram? John Collins and a first?

I mean I think John Collins is better than Ingram so I’m not sure what exact package I would do but I for sure don’t see the need for a first rounder to be involved

Still debating on if I should trade and get B.I. On my season the Cavs look playoff bound. Maybe Prince and Cavs 1st

I dont think, the Lakers would agree to that. If they trade Ingram, then he would be part of a package for another superstar. Davis or someone in that category. You could make a three team trade to give the Lakers the star while receiving Ingram and switching Prince or Collins plus the first to the third team. In reality the is reasonable doubt that Ingram will reach his full potential. So something like this for the Pelicans would be doable imho:

Lakers receive: Davis (+ roster fillers)

                                Hawks receive: Ingram

Pelicans receive: Ball, Collins, two Lakers firsts, the Cavs first

I did another trade in my Magic league. The Pelicans are in the hunt for a playoff spot but without AD for 6 weeks. I dealt Tyson Chandler, Briscoe and Jonathon Simmons to them in return for a 2021 first, Hill and Frank Jackson. The Pelicans get instant help and receive cap flexibility for FA, i get a pick and another young prospect in Jackson. I think, its fair. Depending on how the Pels do, Ill possibly include some protection for the pick.
