Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread

Hey Guys....first time posting on this year's game trade topic....but would like your help in finding a fair trade.

I want to Pair Kris Dunn with Dejounte Murray as my PGs

The only trade i have done, was trade the First Overall pick to the Sun's for pick 3 and their 2020 First...They picked Zion and NY picked Cameron Reddish and i picked RJ Barrett.....

I wanna trade Bobby Portis and Denzel Valentine. Setting up My Bulls team to be Very good in defense. Any back up PF/C with good defense you guys have in mind? i am at FA right now!

    Thanks

I'm the Spurs and I want to trade Gasol.

Given the real-life fit of Jabari Parker on Chicago, I'd like to use Gasol's contract (just $6mm guaranteed next year) to facilitate a trade for Parker.

I'm thinking a guard prospect like Derrick White and a pick.

Would a lottery protected 1st would be enough or not enough? Maybe the Toronto pick? Just spitballing ideas.

As much as I'd like to say yes to that, bulls are in rebuild. They want Parker. I dont see them taking In a vet like Gasol. And imo White is not that good I dont think he has trade value for Parker. Bulls think they have something rolling with Dunn, Lavine, Parker, Markkanen and they just need a 5 and bench players. I'm sorry but I dont think they take that trade offer.

I hear ya, thats why I asked. I don't think Parker is a fit for Chicago, even in rebuild mode. I was looking at it like a George Hill Sacramento scenario last year - sign a free agent, pretty quickly realize he isn't part of the plan, flip him to a better team for an asset (in this case, a young player and a pick). Plus they get off his money for next year. But I hear what you're saying.

I also use spurs in mygm and that was my plan as well. But i ended up keeping gasol as he is a good backup center
Ugh I hate him. And I need a combo forward....

Miami has a huge payroll, what about James Johnson? They could lower their tax bill and I would send them a pick and a young player for him plus Gasol to make the contracts work.

            Thoughts?

I thi k he fits well with them only if they ca get young assets on the bench around them. If not then it's a total waste.
I do like Gasol in Miami I think that would be decent. If the CPU offered that in my myleague I would accept it.

I'll give you my scenario last night.
I was the suns offering TJ Warren and a 2020 1st unprotected for Wall, just to get the ball rolling. They countered with Wall and Porter for TJ, 20 1st, Ariza and 21 1st unprotected. I didn't want the extra salary so I brought in NOLA, yes I know adding a 3rd team makes it more difficult. NOLA offered Nikola, (Wiz) Moore( Suns), trade exception(Wiz), and 21 1st (Suns). In return for Otto. Pelicans agreed but Wizards said nope. I was a fan of the trade honestly. Thought it was a fairly solid deal in place. So then just to see what it takes to make a deal happen with those 3 teams, at one time had 4 first round picks all unprotected. They were all for the same years, so two 2020s and two 2021s. Essentially they could have had three 6 first round picks in a 3 year span. Of course I was going to go with that because I think that's way too much, and they still said no! How on earth does a team who's selling say no to that! Just curious to see what anyone else has done to possibly make it easier and more realistic to trade guys on a selling team. Sorry for the long post, but I hope it was entertaining! Was for me for sure.

I think irl, Wiz are going to want more salary relief so taking back TJ might not make much sense. Maybe move him to a team that's buying and send those assets to Wiz. Also taking back Mahimi might help too.

I'm working on a similar trade in my Nets league.

Nets get: Beal, Mahimi, Jerian Grant, Simmons

Wiz get: Jarrett Allen, Faried (salary filler), Orl Top 5 protected 2020 pick, Nets 2020 top 3 protected pick.

                Magic: D Russell, RHJ

The Wiz save a ton of money next year and get 3 good assets for Beal.

Orlando trades a 1st in hopes that D Russ can reach his potential and be their PG of the future, add another rangy wing in RHJ.

Nets build around LaVert and Beal, tank and try to get Zion or Bol Bol in the draft. Go after Anthony Davis in summer of 2020.

I would like it for the Wiz a lot more if Lee was expiring this year and/or if Frank showed more promise.

Wall trades are difficult because that's not enough to get a star point guard usually, but his contract is so bad that you cant give up too much. I like it though, I could see that happening. And Knicks are def the team I could see making a trade for Wall.

I think in the right situation Frank could thrive. Think about it, right out of the gate he had pressure on him to succeed. Under the lights in NYC. Go to DC away from all the attention he could become the player that he was talked about.

I think you could go the route of Bismack, Solomon, or Gorgui. I looked up on Google teams that need to get rid of contracts and those were some that Intrigued me.
