My bad mate, for some reason I thought you meant both. And yes, the Nuggets pick makes sense too.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
I'm 15 games into my second season with the Timberwolves, and am looking for a starting point guard to help push me into the playoffs.
I've manually updated my rosters with what I think are realistic moves that could happen this summer, so players may not be on their actual team anymore. Though I did mostly move free agents and kept trades to a minimum.
I play with Trade Override on because I very much want to keep things realistic.
Guys I have in mind are De'Angelo Russell and Jrue Holiday as more established players with a higher asking price. Or guys like Terry Rozier or Monte Morris who I could get much cheaper but are far less proven.
Are there any players out there who you think would fit the bill, and what type of package do you think I'd have to give up to get them?
My roster is basically what it was last season, but I traded Dieng plus a first for Joe Harris. I'd rather keep Jeff Teague and Robert Covington, but don't have much other salary filler so might have to give one up.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
Just in terms of fairness not realistic in any way, would trading Nikola Jokic for Joel Embiid be fair?
I’m the Nuggets in this trade but I really like Embiid and want him on my team. Would this at least keep 76ers at a high level? Jokic does have a 5 year deal so they be able to keep him for a long timeComment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
Im in the off-season of my current my league and just like in real life I'm looking to move Anthony Davis from the Pelicans. 30 team control so I don't want to move him to the celtics or the Lakers because I want those teams to build for the future with the guys they have (I want to add pieces to the Lakers but Celtics roster will stay as is post Irving who will go to the Knicks). I'm looking at moving Davis to the Clippers for a package the will include Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Montrez Harrell, Danilo Gallinari and 3 first round picks. In this universe the clippers are pretty much the only team willing to risk Davis leaving after one season so I think this offer is pretty fair. Thoughts?

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
the chicago bulls can trade for A.D. too, with a mix of those players:
L. Markkanen
W. Carter Jr.
D. Valentine
C. Hutchinson
and even Zach Lavine can be included
+ picks
the 1st round pick 2019 chicago can offer worth even more than Boston/Lakers/Clippers picksComment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
I'm doing a start in offseason save for the 76ers and was able to get this trade to work. Do you guys think this is pretty realistic? This is assuming Porzingis still wanted out of NY and Markelle Fultz hadn't figured out his issues yet.
Knicks Receive:
Markelle Fultz
Dario Saric
Robert Covington
Jerryd Bayless
10th Pick
2020 1st Round Pick
76ers Receive:
Kristaps Porzingis
Courtney LeeLast edited by CaVsFaN2273; 03-29-2019, 07:51 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
In real life they also got cap space and two 1st that's likely not to be elite 1st. I'm not sure how Fultz develops if your using updated ratings so that's the major unknown for me. If anything I think the 76ers might be giving up to much when you factor in taking on the bad contract of lee and multiple useful players
As far as the Knicks side, my thinking was that:
1) Bayless is only on a one year deal (they can still waive him)
2) They get two young, cheap players that still have tons of upside in Fultz and Saric. Remember, NY still
needed a point guard before the season, so I feel like Fultz would be a good gamble for them. (BTW
these are the ratings from the beginning of the season)
3) Covington is a very useful, semi-young player on a pretty damn good contract
I feel like it's a better deal than what they got in real life since they'll still have cap space for the future, they get another lottery pick in the deep 2018 draft, and they get three players that can actually be a part of their future rather than one in Dennis Smith Jr.
EDIT: What if I include a third team to take on Joakim Noah's contract from the Knicks? I was thinking maybe a team like the Hawks could take Noah in exchange for an extra 2nd round pick.Last edited by CaVsFaN2273; 03-29-2019, 07:05 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 - Trade Discussion Thread
I recently started a Start Today with the Mavs and am looking for some advice about how to play the 2019-2020 season.
In the offseason, I signed Nikola Mirotic and didn't do much else. So I currently have a lot of expiring contracts including Dwight Powell, Courtney Lee, etc. However, I also have Tim Hardaway's contract which has a player option for next year which he will definitely pick up.
As I see it, I can go one of two routes:
A) Trade Hardaway's contract along with, for example, Brunson and second rounders (no first rounders because of the Porzingis trade). Then opt not to re-sign anyone and try to make some big moves in free agency next offseason.
B) Keep Hardaway's contract on the books, trade the expiring contracts for bad money next year and picks, then potentially look at free agency the year after that.
Which do you guys think is the more realistic approach? Which do you think would leave me better off?Comment
