Yeah...that was REALLY the beginning of the end when it comes to online shooting percentages, then f'ing Steph Curry "breaking" the game with his stupid half-court and unprecedented 3PT shooting. One player changed the entire shooting meta in NBA 2K. I kinda want to blame NBA Live too for going "ghost" for so many years, but I really don't believe Live was really that more "arcadish" or less "sim" when compared to NBA 2K. NBA Live 10 was a solid game to me.

give it 1-2 years and Live will force 2k to make improvements

Have they changed the 'two big' rule in rec matchmaking?

I played a couple games today where I was the only big. The other possibility is that people went in with a squad of 4 and I got put with them with a SF at PF.

I doubt it...NBA 2K is the basketball game of choice. I can't speak for the My League/GM and art people who seem to have REAL issues with the game, but is NBA 2K really a terrible game outside of the unbalanced shooting percentages and screen abuse?

Love the update, especially the neck seam for those that hit 91ovr. Now if you guys could update the face scan like last years 2k18 this game would be perfect and the servers.????????But every time I scan my face, then push A you guys smooth our faces and it takes the realism away.???????? Looks like we have make-up on please fix.???????????

I feel like if u don’t play online in the park or my career the complaints or requests are pretty much over my head in here, glad they didn’t mess with gameplay too much cause I really like it offline right now with slider adjustments, just throwing this reasonable comment out here to offset this insanity we used to call a “community “

I feel like shot contest was probably increased to combat the high jumpshot percentages. Unfortunately it mostly misfired. The problem wasn’t so much with contested shots this year as it was with open shots. Both the insane accuracy achievable on them and the unfathomable range.

This guy was covered by an A.I. and did this all game to the tune of 13/17.

With lightning fast jumpshots, truly limitless range and a screen here and there, it’s not hard to get open. Especially if there’s 2 or 3 teamed together and you can’t even switch effectively. You’re basically left with 3 options:
1. Become one.
2. Pass to one.
3. Pray the other team doesn’t have more than one and that whoever is covering him is semi-competent. One poorly guarded Pure Sharp is enough to end a game.

I think the shot contest buff might have hurt inside scoring more than outside honestly.

What the shot contest change really hurt is offline play and the AI. It kinda killed the realism the contest system had as it related to different players. Out of the box the ratings mattered more and you'd see the clear difference in the contest of a great defender like Roberson and a poor one like Melo. Now the only real difference between Melo and Roberson is one has a defensive badge and one doesn't. Wish they could have just limited the change to just certain modes or whatever mode was having an issue.

No fixes to the broken player mentor system?

Probably not, that is what I wanted to know but I just see a bunch of portrait comments. I want updated pics too but it is not as important to the actual game.

Alternate uniforms should now properly upload/download when sharing team designs.

This is the only thing that I see as a BIG W in this patch

Nope. 2K19 is a GREAT game on the court imo, but only because im an offline player, User/CPUvsCPU. The problem is I care about off the court MyLeague stuff just as much as on the court stuff, so the game is unplayable right now. Im not gonna start a MyLeague not knowing if they'll patch in jerseys or not, because theres no way im going without the earned jerseys and city jerseys and all that.

did LeBron James getting his portrait picture in this patch ?

They didn't do the big pictures that you see when doing rotations and trade screen. They did the face only pictures you see in Free agency and going through just the roster simple view. Those carried over to the Myleague I already had going.



They did that so I know they can just carry the big pictures over, jerseys and courts. They need to fix mentorship ad badges.

I had hopes, they fixed the lack of charges, blocking, over the back, loose ball fouls, and no shooting fouls on 3pt attempts, but unfortunately, this issue was addressed in the patch notes.

Maybe, they attempted to tune it in this patch, and its just not listed as one of the fixes. Although I dont have much hope that this is the case, because with so many offline players complaining about this, if they had fixed it, they would have surely mentioned it in the patch notes.

Yeah you and a bunch of people say it every year, and every year you are wrong, live is 100 focused on the one aspect of their game.

As someone playing on All Star, I don't feel that changes to shot contests have made a major difference.

But I certainly won't be going up a level based on what you guys have said.
