Ok the new system is dope

BUT

as an offline player, I'm disappointed that we're still limited in the sense that our 99 (or 95) myplayer will not be a real 99 or 95 myplayer compared to real NBA player

I guess this is the next step they'll need to adress...

Figured that could be possibility. We're pretty much banking on badges for us to feel like superstars.
I still plan on committing to a MyCareer as a offline player. But I will do a Player Lock ML as well later in year.

I like your defender/finisher. If your defender teammate gets some 3 pt shooting in his build I wouldn't worry too much about shooting - if anything put just enough in middies and get catch and shoot, and get the rest of your points into finishing and defending. Your role is to be big, so be big.

I was editing my head and accidentally clicked A an advanced to the actual build part. I can't seem to figure out if there is a way to go back and edit the face. Is there? Can i re-install the demo? Am I stuck until the game comes out?

I did the same thing. Haven’t seen a way to edit. Probably gotta wait...

Created an Offensive Threat PG, 6'3" 190 lbs 75" wingspan. Comparisons to Rose, Lillard, and Wall so not bad at all.

Unless lockdown defenders are amazing again this year, I think 2K might have made a mistake in letting these guard builds have hall of fame shooting & playmaking badges on the same MyPlayer. Especially if moving fadeaway threes are a consistent shot again like they were in 2K19. Lockdowns are going to have to be super strong to keep a build like that from scoring at will. I mean, it was already pretty tough defending guards with silver sharp badges and gold playmaker badges in 2K19. This year they've juiced the guards to a godlike level on offense.

Similar thoughts to others here, worried for the big man this year. Tried to recreate my sharp rim PF from last year and couldn't really. Made a 6'7 SG and really enjoyed it. I play PF/C every year but not so sure this time around..

Can someone elaborate about the physicals?

What kind of balance between speed, accelaration, strenght and vertical you can get?

It differs much across positions, heights and weights?

Can you make someone tall, fast and strong like lebron, randle or giannis?

I'm really trying to get into MyPlayer for really the first time ever other than a brief stint in 2k16.

I find it incredibly funny that 2k tells you youre a "99" when you could have a player that has 2 attributes that are higher than an 86 lol.

I'm not sure why 2k wants to dumb things down further here. Why the need to force everything into 4 categories. Why cant i rebound at a high level but not play defense, why do i need to focus on playmaking if i just wanna be a dominant post player? There's still just a finite number of archetypes to choose from, 2k is just finessing us into thinking we really can create the unique player we want. Really the biggest thing is just that you can essentially pick whatever random badges you want as long as you have enough upgrade points in that overly broad 1/4 pie chart "skill".

At first I've been very mad that 2k limits us so bad, however after tweaking some things i found some good parts about it.

I very like to shoot, slash and dribble. I usually play PM in park and pro am, therefore i made build with pure pm pie chart base, here badges i decided to equip. I would make him 6'4-6'5 with slasher takeover.

HoF badges : Difficult, ankle breaker, handles for days, quick first step.

Gold badges : acrobat, contact finisher, deadeye, range extender, stop&go, space creator, unpluckable.

Silver badges: Fancy footwork, giant slayer, quick release, tireless shooter, tight handles, dimer, clamps.

Bronze : slithery finisher, catch&shoot, lob city passer, needle, pick pocket, pick dodger, interceptor, intimidator.

I will make some tweaks here and there, however this is general idea, i still dont know would it better to get rid of HoFs and stick to gold and silver.

Dimer and needle low on purpose, they are not important to me cz all my guys have high attributes and can time without it.

What do u think ?

think its going to be either a C big bully inside build or a troll full defense SF build.

odds are this game is going to be full 3s agains though with how the warriors are hitting everything in anyway possible from deep lol

Based on what I'm reading around about the new builds it seems that 2k league playstyle is going to take over even more: one superstar guard dribbling and shooting with a bunch of role players

O man I made a 6'9 SF with the comparisons of Brandon Ingram DeRozan and I forgot the other guy but boy I'm going to get buckets ok the park holy cow. I badged em up according to my playstyle. I dropped 35 points 1st game in the demo I love the game already seriously I'm going to be a tough cover. I was killing klay Thompson. And when a defender who wasnt great was on the floor I just blew by him. I'm goin to have a **** load of fun.

The demo has me interested in playing this mode for the first time on 2K.

I played the one on live but this feels really good and I like how they're doing this but I just hope they made it easier to level up.

I'll never go online with my build I'll just play my career offline
