Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Unless you want a 10% win%, gotta start filtering by stats while waiting in the lobby. If at least 3 of the players have assists under 3.0 avg, I usually back out. Assists tell the story on who has court vision or not. And if you get multiple players with high assists, odds are high iq.Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Yeah eh......badges are the key ....
I’m a 5-7 pg scoring threat.
I got some advice in another thread to use base 98 jumpshot (because it was cheese and easy to use, I agree, it is. I don’t care, I’m newb at this point and will take any advantage I can get).
What badges are cheese/must haves ??
I read dimer is a must, got 2 badges for that, those are my Only two badges so far.
I have a shooting badge coming up, where should I go with first for that ? I don’t want to waste them like I have previous years....
remember cheese is fine with me ;-)

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
It's not about the size...it's how you use it. My build is only 6'0", and I feel like I do just fine. It only becomes a problem when I'm getting ping ponged between two bigs on screens, but I have HOF Defensive Leader to help me know if my matchup is really a genuine 3PT threat.Comment

Unfortunately because floaters suck in 2k20 (slow, variable animations that are easy to block and hard to time), you are missing one of the primary weapons to use as a smaller guard.Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Most playmaking slashers will destroy a 6' though being a a two way/lock like it sounds like you are will help. The average PG in rec is 6'3-'6'5. A 5'7 guy is giving up over half a foot. People will just shoot over him at will, and he won't be able to finish against any kind of pressure.

Meh if he has intimidator on at least gold then with the right timing , they will brick jump shots more often then not.
Clamps should stop players from driving past him with ease.
Trapper can force pick ups.
He will be useless defending lay ups and dunks but thats to my opinion the job of the bigs to offer some help defense.
At 5’7 your best bet is to be shooter/ shot creater rather then an inside finisher.
You should be way faster and agile then your match ups and smaller player seem to get much better shooting ratings.
With some practice you can get to a spot someone is driving much sooner and attempt to get charge calls.
If you get matched up against a guard that is a beast in the post then well yeah you might as well just quit lol

Hof defensive leader is a waste of badge lol.
How many defensive badges do you get?
