I never tried with the meter off, but I eventually realized that I was better off just watching the ball and player's hands instead of the meter. If I pressed the button when the player caught the ball I had a good chance of finishing the oop.

Turned the dunk meter off? I’ve never seen that option and Mike Wang also stated it wasn’t possible so how have you done it?

The lead to basket is a welcome return.
The new layup packages are nice.
The signature passing styles are for myplayer only? Hope not .
The dribble styles also need to be more varied and different from each other Basic and fundamental are the same. Slasher and quick should be more extreme.

On defense I would like to see a mini game mechanism for the defender reaction. Tapping the circle button should make the player use his chest or heap accordingly to push the ballhandler. You know, when Shaq backs down aggressively, tapping the button will counter that. Shading defense would be perfect using this also. Because you would rewarded with good no foul defence if timed right. This is real basketball at your hands and not just canned animations driven by badges. The ratings and badges should just determine the right stance and use of hands properly Strength and weight should determine the ability to hold your ground in the post along with how good you are in the minigame.

Do you remember the push button we had in the past on defense? A more subtle use of that would be perfect for that minigame I mentioned.

Also I hate how insignificant my input is on defense, when I crowd the pass receiver. And you know it's impossible to press the right thunbstick to raise my hands and press the steal button.... How can anyone do that Mike Wang?

One last thing. It's frustrating to see that high arcing shot animation after a no foul collision under the basket
And that contested from the side and behind canned animation layup which is always a bucket

Im glad they finally got rid of shot Contest outcomes based on coverage which is super unrealistic
Last year we had to lower the shooting strength slider
Hopefully at the default this year we can finally shoot jumpshots instead of always calling plays to get open like college but we will see in a few weeks

I know more savvy players will tell me if I'm wrong, but I just want 2K to add back the ability to pivot/face up and go. Seems like it's been forever since that has been an option or a move the CPU uses at all.

I'd hope it would become a priority to really emphasize since Dream, Zion, David Robinson and a cast of other big men use the move regularly.

It'll likely never happen, again, but green shots should be way less than a 100% success rate.

Whatever the players rating (shooting percentage) is should correlate to the chance it goes in. Point blank.

Adding or changing controls has changed the game, yet the game hasn't changed.

they could at least give us an option to disable the green mechanic. let all myplayer/myteam and whatever people play like that if they like, but give us an option to turn it off!

Instead of commenting on existing or preexisting features we should demand innovation.
The game is very good. But seeing how much attention is given to so much other stuff outside gameplay makes you wonder how good this game could ve been if just for once, all the budget went on what drives this train.
Playing older 2ks feels and looks similar. Of course 22 is the best. But it f you analyze the parts of the gameplay you will find 90% stays the same..
I understand that a radical change in gameplay is not the smart thing to do when the recipe is so successful. But eating the same food everyday... No one does that even if he has no money at all.
I want to see new technology implemented for the movement of the players. I want photorealistic graphics. We are continuously bombarded by news about the strength of the graphics cards and the strength of PlayStation and Xbox but in reality the jump in graphics quality is minimal. The lighting in NBA 2K 22 in my opinion is very bad. The courts are so bright that it really doesn't feel like a parquet. EA sports NBA live had better floors and reflections. And this is not a new thing for 2K sports if you remember 2K 14 head the best graphics and the next iterations where considerably worst.
I really don't care about how realistic is the crowd and I am sure that the 90% of the gamers agree with me when I say that. I wish all the horsepower needed to create this out of the Court elements, all the memory needed for the thousands in the stands and don't the unnecessary stuff that are taken from the actual game somehow gets ripped off. I remember playing NBA live on my PC there was an option to remove the crowd all together so that the frames per second increase.. just imagine a similar option to lower the quality of the crowd and increase the frames per second or increase the quality of the players. The players in the court is the only thing we look when we play the game and especially when 95% of the players use the 2K camera.
I know I am sounding like a psycho but this is the only game I play. And I feel that NBA 2K is like a race horse and the developers are just walking wit it.

Uhm there is exactly this option in the game? you can lower crowd (and media people) quality or even disable them completely. though there was a time (i think it was like 2k18 and 2k19) where the game would always crash if you disabled the media people.
