So I'm looking to play him more, even if other options are more attractive for me. So, want to badge him up.

Player: Ruby Droppin' 50 Karl Malone

    Comes With:
    • Pick & Popper
    • Tireless Scorer
    • Drop-Stepper
    • Pick & Roller (HoF)
    • Putback King
    • Hustle Rebounder

    Open Badge Slots: 4

    Badges to Add:
    • Rim Protector: I already added this, but now sort of regret it.
    • Brick Wall: Already added this. Don't regret it, as he's going to constantly be screener in P&R.
    • 3.
    • 4.

    Possibilities:
    1. Relentless Finisher: finishing dunks and layups off the roll, contested and with contact at rim.
    2. Acrobat: maybe big deal if activates with contested/contact layups, and still at least moderate deal if I find he is reliable with alternate layups like eurosteps and spin layups (I think maybe not).
    3. Mid-Range Deadeye: for when he's not totally open off Pick & Pop, or just as bail-out shooting option from midrange.
    4. Post-Spin Technician: Has elite Post Control and Post Fade...Post-Spin always seems mandatory to round out post-up arsenal.
    5. Dream-Like Up & Under: maybe even bigger deal than Post-Spin, given his elite Post-Fade. Dream-Like + Post-Fades is more than the sum of its parts, by making both "paths" so effective.
This is what I've got on my mailman and so far I'm very happy with how he plays.

    Pick and roller
    Tireless scorer
    PutBack king
    Pick and popper
    Drop stepper
    Hustle rebounder
    Dreamlike up and under
    Defensive stopper
    Rim protrctor
    Brick wall

Out of all the badges you are debating, one I suggest not sleeping in is the up and under. His post fade is his bread and butter. Having some up and under moves in there keeps the defense honest.

I'm sooo bad at up and unders, I really don't understand. I started playing MyCareer and I can somewhat do them when I use square but with the stick I always end up faking and then taking a square up jumper, I don't get it, it's one of the things that's been frustrating me most

        On badging Diamond Oscar...

        Dream like up and under
        Bruiser
        Rim protector
        Drop Stepper
        Posterizer
        Drop stepper
        Defensive stopper
        Corner specialist

I'll probably do 2 post related badges, defensive stopper, rim protector(assuming I can get it to trigger during a test against layups), and then decide 2 others. Maybe deep range deadeye and bruiser? Not real sure for those last 2.
Oh man, I always think the choice is easier than it is, off the top of my head. I always have to make a list, comprehensively, to get a reality check.

That is a very tough list to choose from. Honestly, I don't even know what to say. I would be paralyzed.

You have Drop-Stepper on that list twice, but there are still 3 to eliminate. I probably would make Bruiser one of them. The badge makes perfect sense, but I feel like Bruiser is only really important if you specifically want to wear out his starter as much as possible. Which means that his starter needs to be, somehow, distinctly a much bigger threat than his bench option(s). I don't feel like there are such standout threats right now in the game, that I am desperate to push them out and deal with the bench guy instead.

By the time we have such OP threats, then I feel like this 93 OVR Oscar is not going to be all that important to you.

Not necessarily true, but going to have to draw a few lines, somehow.

I would question Posterizer too. From what I remember, Oscar doesn't really dunk. But maybe you mean to add it so that he will dunk, and not just rarely. For finishing security.

You you added: Dreamlike / Def Stopper / Rim Protector / Brick Wall?

Makes me feel better about Rim Protector, but I now I sort of regret it because I think Def Stopper might be better, because of how much most people use Stretch 4's and rarely use post-up 4's.

I think you have a typo in that sentence about Up-And-Under and what you're saying is to not sleep on it because it's good. I think the same way about it. I've always just wondered how much it's needed/useful if one gets a real opening. Does it give you better animations...i.e. if you go from faking a Post-Fade into an Up-and-Under, and the defender never bit on the fake...does it help give you an animation that has you sliding past anyway?

Hm. Not sure what to say. I find the analog nature of the stick makes it more intuitive. Maybe you're waiting too long after the initial fake and your guy is settling back into a neutral position. You need to do it after your guy has initiated his move, but before that move goes irrevocable, you go into the Up-And-Under movement...and do not let your guy go back to neutral. Otherwise, then you're stuck and either have total crap shooting options or need to pass out.

Kind of a noob question, but where would pull up jump shots be attributed to? Is that an off dribble rating? Would difficult shots boost those?

trying to badge up the new ruby Greek Freak, he comes with

                tireless scorer
                acrobat
                relentless finisher
                lob city finisher
                posterizer

I could think of a dozen badges to add, but sadly he has only 4 open slots

                my suggestions are:

                defensive stopper
                one man fast break
                mid range deadeye
                difficult shots

what would you give him ?

                THX !

I think these are exactly the four that make most sense.

I'd give him dimer over one of mid-range deadeye/difficult shots

I think that makes perfect sense as well.

Personally, I would rather switch out OMFB than those two shooting badges, for Dimer.

Stupid thing is that Sapphire can have ALL of these badges

Ruby Giannis is unbadged AND has one total slot less than Sapphire

                        2k is rediculous

Doh. Something to consider. Saddest thing is that his Ruby being unbadged is probably data entry issue.

Yeah and Ruby Curry doesn't have Floor General but his sapphire does. Then you got cards like Gold D'Angelo Russell running around with 9 badges and 3 additional slots
