Re: Badging Thread
I agree a lot with you guys. I wanna keep and use this Penny until a better one comes out so I'm not gonna slap on the most expensive badges on him. I added Difficult Shots and Pick & Roll Maestro. I think Relentless Finisher would be perfect for him if it wasn't an expensive(ish) badge. May just end up slapping on post-spin or pick pocket.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Anybody badge up Ruby Anthony Davis? Which direction did you go?
He has 4 slots comes with Pick and roller, Hustle Rebounder and Tireless Scorer. I put Rim Protector and Brick Wall. I'm thinking Putback King and am torn on Posterizer or Defensive Stopper.Last edited by P234thetruth; 10-31-2016, 12:06 PM.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
I was gonna say I'd give him some post up moves cause he's unstoppable down there but just realized 2k gave him a 0% post up tendancy... I'm done lol...Comment

I would go with posterizer & DS, putback King is the weakest of the three.
Post tendency doesn't affect users.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Not really, when you're controlling another player he wont post up... If you're manually posting him up that's one thing but him not posting up on his own is a big deal! Especially considering what kind of player he isComment

Possibly even Drop Stepper, though I think it also makes sense to not concentrate badging so much in that direction.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Your freelance and game plan dictates if your player post up or not. If you're in a 3-2 set your PF will post up regardless of his tendencies. You can also call for manual post ups for any player.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
I've pulled Ruby Artest from blacktop, he comes with gold acrobat, posterizer and flashy passer (???), I've added defensive stopper & pick dodger so far, any ideas for the remaining slots?Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Def Stopper and Pick Dodger are probably the two must-haves. I wouldn't add anything to him, as he may get fixed and adding badges may compromise fully utilizing his slots.
But...
1. Rim Protector: if you want to use him as a Stretch 4.
2. Catch & Shoot: if you want to make him more useful offensively.
3. Corner Specialist: ditto above.
4. Pickpocket: if you steal a lot...his Steal rating of 80 is quite high.
I would probably go with Rim Protector and Catch & Shoot. But I also think that, if he gets fixed, he's going to "come with" Defensive Stopper at least. Don't know what happens if you've added that prior to patching...Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Probably, it's the 3rd badge I've added to him, as well. I'm not sure what to go with for the last slots. I wonder if Pick Pocket includes Interceptor this year, has anybody seen it trigger on off-ball steals? If not, it would be a wasted slot. I'm leaning towards Break Starter, Dimer, and one of the finishing badges.
But another that's attractive is Post Spin Technician. Wallace at least has 75 Post Control, so Post Spins are viable with him. Don't know exactly what all goes into the formula for post spins, but Wallace also has high-for-a-center 45 Ball Control and 60 Speed with Ball. For comparison, James Edwards' Ratings are 86/27/31. And Wallace has 95 Strength and basically the highest Acceleration you'll see in a Center, so if those are in the formula, he has those ratings covered.
Even if only so-so at 75, I would imagine that adding a +9 Post Control shoe to Wallace would make him a legit Post-Spin threat. If an opponent has a good defensive center and knows how to defend post spins, then might still be tough because there is no threat of a Post Fade or Post Stepback from Wallace.
Anyway, what I think I'll add is:
1. Brick Wall
2. Posterizer
3. Putback King
4. Break Starter
5. Pick Pocket
6. Dimer
The first two are totally mandatory but I feel like either Putback King or Break Starter could be sacrificed for Acrobat.
The case against Acrobat, though, is that the description implies that it's for really difficult layups like reverse layups, or ones after changing shot mid-air...which one isn't going to do with Wallace.
I wonder if anyone has video of Acrobat activating when taking a straight-up Standing (even Driving) Layup with a big...Comment
