Re: Badging Thread
What's everyone doing with Jamal Mashburn? I'm starting to really like him now that I'm posting him up. He comes with tireless scorer and all the post moves but aside from catch+shoot and difficult shots I'm struggling to choose, there's 4 open slotsLast edited by Foldzy; 11-05-2016, 10:01 AM.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Limitless range, deep range deadeye, ankle breaker, difficult shot*so you can do the leaning 3 cheese, anything else is up to you. I never lost a game in blacktop with him so since that's what you neee him for, better get hip on how to dribble or dribble cheese.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
What did you guys do for diamond Grant Hill?
I've put 3 badges so far, defensive stopper, pick dodger, and mid range deadeye.
I'm thinking of tireless scorer and one man fast break as well. Any other important badges that I'm missing or is it just up to play style after?Comment

Catch & shoot and PnR maestro are some good options.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
I'm leaning pick and roll maestro, anklebreaker and tireless or difficult shots not sure which way to go. I wanted dimer and corner specialist but can't have them all.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
I now have Ruby Curry he comes with deep range deadeye, limitless and catch and shoot. I put defensive stopper on him. I got 3 slots left what do y'all think?

Re: Badging Thread
Hmm he's only got a 77 steal think that's enough for it to be a good badge? Im so torn kinda thinking to skip dimer and either go offense in tireless or difficult shot or defense with pick pocket.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
For any perimeter player, Defensive Stopper always makes sense if the player is key for you, and will be for a while. Problem is, most players aren't worth spending the MT on Def Stopper badges, unless you're super-flush with MT and/or want to really fine-tune the best lineup you can have with the immediate future more important than later on. (I.e. if you want to finish MTO as quickly as possible.)Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Anyone have any thoughts on Diamond Rewards Elvin Hayes, in terms of badging or in general? I just got him a couple days ago and haven't even gotten the chance to play him in a game.
Comes With:- 1. Hustle Rebounder: Amethyst
- 2. Pick & Roller: Gold
- 3. Drop-Stepper: Gold
- 4. Dream-Like Up & Under: Gold
- 5. Putback King: Gold
Open Slots: 6- 1. Post-Spin Technician: Think this is pretty much mandatory for any post-up big. Especially if they're not a shooter. Hayes has 72/60 Open/Contested Mid, but his main strengths are obviously all in the paint.
- 2. Brick Wall: Also pretty much mandatory, even if the player will not be the go-to P&R screener option, because he may be laying down a lot of off-ball screens.
- 3. Posterizer: Another mandatory badge for most big men, especially if they're post-up scorers and have high Standing Dunk (90 for Hayes).
- 4. UNSURE
- 5. UNSURE
- 6. UNSURE
Candidates for Remaining 3 Slots:
- 1. Rim Protector and/or Defensive Stopper: Hayes is obviously a strong paint defender and an okay perimeter defender, for a "big." So first thought is to go with Rim Protector as mandatory, but maybe not Defensive Stopper. But because so many people play Stretch 4's, Defensive Stopper is probably useful to help make up for his unimpressiveness on the perimeter when guarding them.
- 2. Relentless Finisher and/or Acrobat: Obvious candidates since, when scoring, he's usually going to be scoring at the rim, often with contact, and often with layups.
- 3. Mid-Range Deadeye and/or Pick & Popper and/or Catch & Shoot: He could work as a Pick & Pop guy. If playing as a 4, doesn't make sense to play in an offense that puts him outside the arc, since his 3-point shot isn't viable. Not really ideal for Pick & Pop, so probably strike that. Mid-Range Deadeye probably is quite useful on him since his release isn't quick and all mid-range shots are liable to be contested. And C&S is always tempting for anyone who will ever take a jumpshot after receiving a pass.
- 4. Bruiser: Obvious "mandatory" badge for a big man. Especially one who might start. But I haven't been adding these this year, so far, as slots are so precious and very few of the players I have, right now, I expect to stay in my lineup a couple months from now. Hayes is a Diamond but a pretty old-school inside scorer that, by modern standards, is either undersized or not athletic enough or lacking in shooting ability. If he's a bench guy who may not play many minutes, Bruiser is not so relevant.
- 5. Dimer: I think Dimer makes sense for pretty much anybody.
