Thanks.I've re-posted the v2 base slider set.
Been away from 2k18 for the past week, just needed to avoid getting completely burned out from the game. I'm gonna do a little testing tonight, just small tweaks at a time to make things a little easier to focus on and fix.
Enjoy v2 until I fix the mess that was v3 (though v3 are still posted as a reference)
Gonna throw em on and see how they play.
There might be a bug in the game where changing a slider and effectively changing the difficulty from SS or HoF, etc. to "custom" makes the AI really bad. There is another thread on here regarding it.Comment

I saw that thread a while back. It's definitely a possibility. I tweeted at the devs, but got no response back as far as what affect sliders and difficulty have on one another.
And the devs have ignored the subject on the forums here as well so who knows
As far as sliders are concerned, I went back to v2 and made these changes:

Nah, I haven't taken pictures of any stats yet as I'm constantly tweaking things. Still trying to get the AI to calm down on the 3pt attempts without neutering their offense. Once that issue is solved, it should be smooth sailing!Comment

Ive done lots of testing and I really had problems with getting the cpu to shoot enough free throws especially on shooting fouls even though I maxed out every user foul sliders. Probably because of intense-d making defense so easy that jumping to contest shots is just an inefficient option. Also observed that default hof sliders yields more 50/50 rebound animations, illegal picks, loose ball fouls all leading to non-rebound possessions. Also had trouble with balancing some of the contested shots going in with getting some of the wide open ones missing, seems to be too black and white.

I saw the opposite at HOF default as far as the 50/50 rebounds. At default the CPU would have multiple possessions where they got two offensive rebounds or more, it was ridiculous! My rebound sliders aren't perfected yet, but they definitely help even things out a bit (at least for me).
My foul sliders I can't see going any higher, as I don't want EVERY SINGLE LAYUP to be a guaranteed foul for the CPU. My current settings already make it close to a guarantee so I doubt I'll go higher. The main issue is getting other fouls called more often so that teams go to the line due to being in the bonus instead of only relying on shooting fouls.
And to balance open shots going in and contested shots missing, you need to tweak the Jump Shot Defense Strength sliders as well as the Shot Success sliders. The (Gather) defense slider essentially controls the "area of effect" a defender has on shooters. The higher the Gather slider, the harder ANY shot becomes to make as defenders don't even have to be actively contesting the shot for the game to view it as contested. The Release defense slider will add to that by making defenders close out more aggressively and contest shots more aggressively.
The best way to balance these is to leave it at default and increase ONLY the Jump Shot (Release) defense slider until you see the aggressiveness you want on close-outs and shot contests. Once you have that settled, adjust the shot success sliders until open shots go in almost every time. Then adjust the Jump Shot (Gather) defense slider until contested shots go in at the percentage you're looking for.Comment

I played a few games with the updated 2.0 last night. Much better. My only gripe is even with an elite defender like Kawhi, he didn’t feel elite. Other than that, it was fun. Xbox is having some issue where you can’t upload the screenshots so I’ll figure another way to show stats when I get home later.

I think i've found a good balance on shooting:
mid range 65
3pt 65
Jump shot gather 54
jump shot release 99
I'm playing on real% so Numbers may lower on user timing (I find it much harder to shoot with timing.
Still a WIP but i'm trying to get the right percentages on closest defender stats. It doesn't have to be perfect, but i want it to be realistic. A good shooter should make 45-50 percent of his wide open (6 feet and beyond) shots, but i also want players with high contested shot ratings to make them at about 35-45 percent.
It's tough man as most of this is being done by eye test.Comment
