The "Cpu running backwards for a backcourt violation" problem is a 2k development issue/glitch. This has happened on every single slider set that I have tried during 2k18's tenure since 2017, to include this one, mines in the past, and everyone else's on this thread. Not a slider issue at all.

I'm not vouching for anyone to do this, as I know some may find issues, but "only as a test" I increased CPU Inside Shot Tendencies too 100 along with your tendencies @duce...and in my opinion Cpu was more aggressive as in if you left a lane for them to drive, they go in for it mostly without hesitation, and if they are not trapped or hit with heavy defense they will certainly go for the shot. Also, get this, it did NOT neglect any form of kick outs, and did not take away from all other various shot attempts that we'd like to see.

On the flipside, I did not like attack being any higher than it was, and remember @duce I was explaining to you via your slider thread, that attack being set as low as it is coupled with lower values for other offensive tendencies works extremely well. What I am trying to say (and I tested this at 100) is that attack being set high seems to be making cpu take the so-called dumb/bad shots, while neglecting smooth ball rotation. All I can say is try it for yourselves, and if its too much tune it down from there. Just my opinion again, and something I observed. Correct me if wrong, and you all see otherwise.

(I've also tested this with CPU hustle at 100, because I wanted Cpu to be less robotic when playing with aggression. I wanted CPU to feel less like scriptedCPU and more like playing against a human.)

Lastly, you don't have to go with cpu inside shot tendency at 100, it was only a test, seemed great to me, try and test it or something close to it if you'd like...just a suggestion.

Overall, great great set @Eccentricmeat! Enjoying it.


EDIT: Forgot to mention that in my test, I increased CPU Offensive Awareness +5 clicks (80) because I felt it was needed for aggressive ball movements, plus superstars playing like stars. I f

I agree! That's whats up...rooting for ya man. Like I told you before, these are right there...that close to the real thing. That's why even I, add input here and if it works then it works, if it don't then roll from there...we are all excited to see the end results thats why! Awesome job man! Any changes I should try? I revert back to the OP. I felt like having body sensitivity mad them lose the ball a lot dribbling into people.

Been busy with work lately but I fired up an NBA finals preview today. I havent changed anything from your V5, I only have CPU shooting at 60 across the board and it still plays beautifully. I played a classic today. I was Cavs @ Warriors and Warriors were on fire and I found myself down 20 at half. We made a huge comeback to tie it late in the 4th quarter and Lebron fouled out with 1 minute left. Tied with 16 seconds left, Durant missed a pullup midrange but I jumped too early on the rebound and Green got it back and kicked it out again and Durant hit a 3 at the buzzer for the win with Korver right up in his grill. Game was incredible, check out the stats.

I’ve played a few games with the latest set and I’m enjoying the games. But I’ve noticed that the CPU’s defense is like a snap dragon. They recover way too quickly. Too many blocks. Is there a way to ease up on the CPU’s defensive AI? Also, I want to have less dunks in the game. Should I just lower attempt dunks slider?

I've toned down both the User and the CPU defense by adjusting these sliders - here is what I'm using

Layup Defense Strength (Takeoff) - 80
Layup Defense Strength (Release) - 85
Jump Shot Defense Strength (Gather) - 65
Jump Shot Defense Strength (Release) - 75
Help Defense Strength - 85

Hustle – 75/65
On-Ball Defense – 50
Defensive Awareness – 50
Offensive Consistency - 40
Defensive Consistency - 55
Lateral Quickness - 35

I'd say yes - adjust down Dunks in Traffic and Attempt Dunks until you see the number you want.

I'm loving the gameplay with Eccentric's base plus some tweaks. Remember - everyone's skillset and play style is different so don't hesitate to make adjustments that make sense for you.

Exactly this! Feel free to raise/lower settings as you see fit, you won’t hurt my feelings [emoji4] We all play differently and want the game to react certain ways. Always view my slider set as a base for your own tinkering, as the set is made per MY view of how the game should be for my skill set and play style.

Also, I apologize for the lack of updates lately. I’ve actually been PLAYING the game the last week or so and enjoying what I see, so I’ve spent a lot less time tweaking. I’ll get back to it as I always do, but I am quite enjoying where the set is at ATM.

The only tweaks I’ve really been focusing on are CPU tendencies, which will hopefully be updated in soon(tm)

So I love playing the post-up game, but with these sliders I can have the best big man in the game outclassing the opposition but every shot in the low-post is a complete miss. I find it impossible to score inside. Any recommended adjustments?

Yea, that’s been one of the major pain points for me as well. The solution is to increase Inside and Close Shot Success, then lower Layup Success until you find a good balance.

I honestly don’t know why I haven’t tweaked this myself yet.

In the meantime, feel free to increase the Inside/Close Shot Success sliders as you see fit [emoji4]
