Is anyone seeing consistent loose ball and over the back fouls with rebounding so low? I assumed you needed higher (50+) for those type of fouls to happen....

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set

Gotta say these sliders are fantastic. Heck of a job by you Eccentric man you really outdid yourself on these. Only changes I made is the CPU shooting sliders upto 60 to make them a bit more potent on offense. They still have cold streaks sometimes thanks to the 0 consistency but if you leave good shooters open you will be severely punished.

I am seeing a ton of variety with these sliders. Every game is very different. I am also a slider perfectionist and I get very annoyed when I see a stat that is very off from game to game such as turnovers or CPU FT being too low. All I can say is with these, each game you play with be a completely different game and it plays very realistically. To give people an idea how much these vary game to game, heres my last 3 games results. 12 min qtrs, play now.

      1. Celtics(Me) @ Thunder. 114-98 i won. Thunder had a lot of cold streaks and they couldn't buy a bucket or get to the line much. They only shot 12 free throws and Westbrook was chucking in his usual fashion. I forced 18 turnovers with smothering defense and at one point had a 22 point lead. I held them to 40% shooting and I shot 48%. Terry Rozier had a triple double for me with 18 11 and 10. That surprised me.

      2. Cavs @ Raptors (Me) 108-106 I won. I jumped out to a 15 point lead in the first quarter followed by a furious comeback in which I found myself down by 9 going into the 4th quarter. Lebron was doing it all and he had 38 12 and 10. Game was tied 106-106 with 20 secs left and Lowry hit a midrange jumped with 1.4 left. Lebron jacked a 3 at the buzzer but it rimmed out. OG Anunoby was the surpise in this game. He played incredible defense switching on everyone and he also had 18 points 8 board and 7 assists. It is a testament to Lebrons greatness when he puts up 38 12 and 10 and you feel like you contained him LOL.

      3. Mavs(Me) @ Bucks 97-125 I lost. This was blowout city from the Jump. I shot 36% and Bucks shot 52% They were 14-27 on 3s. Ouch. Giannis had 27 10 and 9. They were on fire in the first half and couldnt miss. I couldnt buy a bucket. Their defensive versatility and length was absolutely smothering. I literally had to pull Dirk out of the game in the 2nd half and bench him because he was a huge defensive liability. They also got to the line 28 times and they were 26/28 lol. Nothing went right in this game for me. I found myself down 21 at halftime and gave up 70 in the first half. Dennis Smith and Nerlens noel were the only ones who showed up. Dennis put up 34 and Noel had 16 pts 10 rebs 4 blocks and 3 steals.

This is a huge testament to the job you have done on these sliders. Every game is different and you better make coaching adjustments during the game or you will get smoked.

I haven’t seen any issues, but let me know if it becomes a problem!

Awesome feedback man, thanks! You had me scared for a second when the Thunder only had 12 FTs, but hearing the Bucks had 28 puts me at ease [emoji1305]

That variety is exactly what I was going for, and I’m glad to hear that it’s working out that way for each of you as well!

One question, did you have Body Up Sensitivity at 0 or 100? I’m currently testing the effects of putting that back to 100 for both USER and CPU, as it seems to give better animations while drawing more fouls.

Those last 3 games I have it at 100. I think it is better. I am seeing more ft for the CPU and also it is much harder to get to the rim at will. Makes the CPU defense better IMO but you can still blow by if you have a mismatch. I will keep it at 100. CPU free throw attempts seem very random this year though. Some games they struggle to get to the line much and it is quite annoying. I think that last game I played the bucks had 16 ft's going into the 4th qtr and shot 12 more in the 4th.

Ok cool, just wanted to double check and see if others were liking the change at 100. I also set the CPU Drive Contact Shot Frequency to 0 to equal the USER settings, maybe give that a try and see if it makes animations and FTs more consistent!

So just to confirm...you ARE seeing games with multiple LB & OTB fouls? Never understood if the rebounding slider was attempts (effort) or success. Can you confirm? Many thanks!!

Yeah I see all different kinds of fouls. over the back, illegal picks, all that good stuff. I just finished a crazy game against the Raptors. I was the Grizzlies and had a 22 point lead and got a little too comfortable in the 2nd half and they came all the way back and won 114-106. They killed me on the glass too. Tons of offensive rebounds and 2nd chance points really fueled their comeback.

These sliders are basically locked in for me. I have been in slider hell all year and can finally start a myleague now. Trying to decide who to rebuild. My choices are Kings, Grizzlies, Pistons, Knicks, Hawks, Bulls, Mavs, or Clippers.

Yup, I see plenty of those fouls.

The rebounding sliders affect both effort AND success, actually. Just increasing the sliders from 1 to 7 and 10 resulted in noticeably greater effort for rebounds, and you have to balance the offensive vs defensive rebound settings so that one doesn’t overpower the other.

Did you try setting CPU Drive Contact Shot Frequency to 0 as well?

Glad to hear how much you’re enjoying the sliders! Makes the constant testing grind worth it [emoji4]

I haven't tried that yet. The Raptors had 22 ft's so I feel comfortable where it is right now. Im confused how that would create more fouls? Wouldn't it be less contact?

You would think so, but that’s not really the case. It seems to open up more animations instead of the typical “blow-by and follow to the layup” you usually get, as well as more contested layups that lead to contact instead of the dribble-drive layup animations that make the player AVOID contact.

Interesting. I will try that out later. Great work on these sliders.

Yea, it seems to especially help with block/charge fouls as the defender is better at stopping blow-by penetration and instead the game triggers more of those “brick-wall” style animations that lead to a foul call one way or the other!

Do you feel like the CPU runs enough plays? I feel like they get stagnant a lot or run freelance but not as much playbook plays.

That would be up to the coaching profiles unfortunately :/
