Yes, movements are realistic... With these sliders Pick and Roll is more harder for USER ...Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Yea I see the same issues, and I’ve been experimenting with the set on Superstar instead of HOF. Only played a few games, but I didn’t see any crazy speed-burst plays, and the CPU did go out of bounds a couple times.
Seems HOF is too much cheese and hassle to be worth it. Try out Superstar with these same settings and let me know how it feels!Comment

Changing to Custom is fine. If you start at HOF when you load the sliders, it will implement the HOF difficulty as the foundation.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
finally superstar and not HOF dude?
I really like the sliders now. Just 2 points:
- too many 3pt shot success for the AI (around 45-50%)
- maybe too few shoot success % own team, everytime around 39-45% maxComment

You should see more aggressive CPU offense when attacking the rim (leading to more fouls as well!), a far more dangerous and diverse low-post game (seriously, they'll shred you if you just hold LT/L2), more realistic FG% especially on layups/low post shots, and improved movement/animations are just the cherry on top!
Give them a try and let me know what you think!
Plus these tweaks to the shooting sliders:
Sorry for the delay, here are the Shot Success tweaks I'm using so that the post and inside shots/layups aren't guaranteed misses:
Inside Shot Success - 66/69
Close Shot Success - 66/69
Mid-Range Shot Success - 54/56
3PT Success - 54/56
Layup Success - 57/60
Dunk in Traffic Frequency - 45/60
Dunk in Traffic Success - 48
Pass Accuracy - 50/25
Alley-Oop Success - 50
Contact Shot Success - 57/60
Ball Security - 50/25
Body-Up Sensitivity - 100
Pass Speed - 60
Nothing major but now dominant finishers really shine, and the CPU is even more of a pain to deal with on defense.
Are the most up-to-date settings I’ve posted. I’ve since increased Speed with Ball Max - 60 and Acceleration with Ball Max - 55 for both User and CPU. I’ve also bumped the Acceleration attribute setting to 40 instead of 35 and decreased Pass Speed to 58 instead of 64.
I’ve got some WIP tendency tweaks I haven’t finalized yet, but they’re on their way.
PS: Saw some early 2K19 gameplay (ghetto footage, of course) and it looks like 2K fixed the blow-by dribble drive defense so that defenders actually stick with the ballhandler [emoji1305][emoji1305][emoji1305]Last edited by EccentricMeat; 07-20-2018, 05:09 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Just some feedback.
Played two games and it was great!
My biggest issue is CPU recovery speed.
I can crossover the defender, he is clearly beat but then slides into the riding animation.
Also regardless of a player speed attribute the user ball handler seems to be the slowest in transition.
Ex. Sexton vs Trae Young
Sexton: ball SPD 84, ACCEL 84
Young: SPD 83, ACCEL 82
Young 2-3 steps behind, he would always run past Sexton when Sexton was on the break.
Sexton got 4 defensive rebounds and could never out run Young on a fastbreak.
Maybe acceleration and speed both being 35 is the reason.
Sliders seem to reduce the blow by animation but seems too hard for faster players to get around slower defenders even after a good pick.Last edited by keshunleon; 07-21-2018, 05:29 PM.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Should I put the Offensive Consistency to 50? I play MyLeague Player Lock only, and I always see my teammates miss shot after shot, with our team shot percentage around the low 30s. Maybe that's the problem? The Off consistency was set at 0.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
It would probably be best to increase Consistency, but there may be other tweaks needed to make Player Lock play as these sliders intend. I’ve never played Player Lock so I’m not 100% sure what effects different tweaks may have.

There’s not really a way to fix the transition issue. It seems like it’s hard coded in the game for the user ballhandler to be the slowest player off the break.
If you’re having an issue with speed differential, set Acceleration and Speed 5 clicks lower for the CPU. So the user Accel/Speed would be 40/35, and the CPU settings would be 35/30. I personally don’t do this simply because it’s easy enough for me to get past the defense and I don’t want to make that easier. Just a personal preference.
Also if you want to lower the defender’s ability to stick with a player on the drive, INCREASE Driving Shot Contact Frequency until you like the results. Higher settings = more blow-by animations, lower settings = more “suction cup” defense.Comment

I just had a dope game vs BKN. I entered your latest tweaks from post 792. I like the results I’m getting but the CPU is still way too tough and I changed it from HOF to Superstar.
I enjoyed the gameplay but would like to make a few tweaks of my own.
Which slider decreases the CPU’s ability to close out on 3 point shooters? I feel like my 3% is so low because of the CPU’s great close outs.
I wanna get less OFF REB’s, do I just lower both CPU/User OFF REB slider?
Also wanna get less successful steals when the CPU is defending me.
More FT’s by both CPU User would be great.
Thanks again Ecc. Without your sliders this game would be neat unplayable bro.

Close-out ability: Lower the Jump Shot Defense Strength (Release) slider.
Offensive rebounds: I would increase the Defensive Rebound. slider instead of decreasing Offensive Rebounding. You still want players to be aggressive and capable of getting offensive rebounds, so it would be best not to decrease that ability.
FTs are tricky. The game just doesn’t trigger many/any off-ball fouls, and you’ll rarely get a blocking foul called against you or a charge called against the CPU.
It looks like 2K19 has greatly improved the ability of defenders to stick with the ballhandler on a drive, as well as increasing the frequency and realism of contact animations on the perimeter AND when putting up a shot/layup. Hopefully the frequency of these animations will also increase the frequency of fouls called, as you really don’t get foul calls without contact animations.
Glad you like them man!Comment
