Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't touched a single other game since Elden Ring came out, and just finished my playthrough last night with 180 hours on it... Yea. Unfortunately, when an actually enjoyable game comes out I put NBA 2K on the backburner for a while lol
Anyway, I jumped into some testing right after finishing up that playthrough and was immediately blown out as the Nets by the 76ers. Good god, Embiid and Harden played me like a fiddle. If I wasn't getting my ankles broken on the perimeter by Harden, Embiid was punishing me in the post with ease. And when I manually brought a guy in to double team the post, he would kick it out for the open 3. There were also multiple instances of Embiid passing out of the double team, re-positioning to the opposite side of the paint, getting the ball in the low post again, and punishing my defense in whichever way made the most sense at the time. They were feeding him (especially during mismatches), and he was making me pay.
Fouls were decent, but I'm sure the next game I play will have the CPU go to the line about 4 times total, so who knows. The CPU defense fouls realistically and user FT numbers look great, but as usual with 2K you just can't consistently give the CPU that same treatment.
Anyway, just wanted to check in and let people know that the set isn't dead. I need to tighten up a few things with movement and tendencies before I can get an update posted, but most of my work from before Elden Ring's release seems to have held up over the past month, so there shouldn't be a long wait from here!
