Luckily for all of us, the ATD Roster has been released and is available for download! Check out their thread HERE for all the details, and do yourself a favor by downloading their roster/scenario as the ATD team (IMO) does the absolute best work year-in and year-out.

I'll be doing the same, so the majority of my testing going forward will be geared toward the ATD roster instead of 2K's. I've done just about all I can with the default roster, and I think my last two updates (both posted in the OP) give pretty damn good gameplay all things considered. There will likely be one last update to the 2K roster slider set, then expect all further updates to be for the ATD roster.

Don't worry, I'll leave the 2K Default Roster slider set in the OP and on 2K Share, and will be adding an ATD slider set separately. No one will be left behind, regardless of roster choice

WHO DO THE USER/CPU SLIDERS AFFECT? - UPDATED MAY 3RD

Luckily for me the foundation of these settings has stayed the same throughout the years: The Layup/Jump Shot Defense Strength sliders affect the defense AGAINST whoever they're listed under.

For example, set the USER sliders to 100 and the CPU sliders to 0, and the CPU will play fantastic defense AGAINST the USER, while the USER's defense will have very little effect on the CPU. If you want the USER AI to play better defense, you need to increase the CPU Defense Strength sliders, and vice versa.

Is this still the case in 2K22?

No, loading the roster will not affect your sliders/settings.

Now if you go to MyNBA and load the ATD Scenario then that will override your settings and sliders within that new MyNBA file.

I’ve never tested User vs User so I can’t be sure. I would just always make sure to set the User and CPU sliders to the same values in user vs user games.

Can’t wait to test these out. Used your sliders in 2k21 and it was by far the best gameplay balance I’ve ever had. Any ETA on some beta sliders for ATD rosters? Gonna wait to start my franchise til then
