The spacing is awesome in this game. They really did a good job, but they seriously need to address the coaches. The coaches models are still current gen. lol

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
I've never seen more praise for a demo. I was going to skip the game this year, but now that does not look like an option. I can't wait to get home to download the demo. Two questions:
How does defense feel? Do better on the ball defenders have more success "locking down" a defender?N.Y Mets
N.Y Giants
N.Y Knicks
N.Y Islanders
Miami Hurricanes

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
The AI seems to be the biggest improvement to me, absolutely love it. plays like real NBA hoops now, very impressive.
collision detection and animations is probably the next best improvement, you cant just back down til you're under the basket, or use iso moves forever, or lead pass through a crowd, or slash all day long. love it!
im not as impressed with the graphics as everyone else is though, but the gameplay is so tight that i hardly care.
I also cannot get a bank shot from holding down the left trigger. is it another button you're supposed to use?
all the shaq post dunks are a little too easy to pull off from far away, hopefully he's the only one who can do them and the higher difficulties (and online) make it harder to do. I would hate to see any "money" type moves for easy baskets....although shaq surely is a monster to guard in real life too. other than that i love the post improvements.
is anyone getting the 'playbook' plays to work, or the out of bounds plays? everytime I call one, they just stand around and theres no movement. maybe they werent included in the demo even though you can chose them?
association is gonna be a blast, I cannot wait to face kobe....Comment

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
Little late to this thread... but wow... played around 10 games demo games so far... Simply Incredible... All the sig-shots are stunning... when Dirk hit a 3 in Haslem's face with this weird looking shot... I was like WOAH!
I love how the gameplay flows and plays... its a tossup too with who will play well and who won't. The challenge is better than last year.
I might consider taking all the icons and names away when I play the full version because without them, the game will look 99% real... like I'm watching a real game. They did so well with the models this year too, everyone looks spot on to their real life counterpart.
The crowd is kickin too and even the cheerleaders have some better bodies this time around.
I feel like every player has a bigger purpose now with all of this signature stuff...
I've played all my games with the Heat, and since the 3rd game... I am starting Zo at Power Forward and going with a better rebounding squad... it has paid off well.
SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
I've done it with D Wade. You probably need a better angle, or maybe it's only for certain players, but I doubt that. I wonder if you can modify layups to go off the backboard.I wish everyone talked like Larry Merchant.Comment

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
While I did like last years, It got boring for me pretty quickly. I don't know why I got bored with last years game. That on top of the fact that my wife and I are buying our first home, so I have to be selective with my gaming these days. With all of the positive impressions about the gameplay, it seems like this is the B-ball game I've been waiting of. I'll probably trade in Madden and NCAA to get this.Comment

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
A question for you guys: Do you all use the shot stick (right stick) for shooting. I never bothered to use it with 2k6 (NBA or CHoops) but now I'm wishing I had. Does it improve your shooting/ make it more enjoyable.

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
You need to use the shotstick to see all of the new shots, so I'd recommend getting used to it. For example, if you're driving to the basket and you pull back on the shotstick, you'll shoot a teardrop. Some great new anims that you might never see if you just use the shot button.Comment

Re: Offical Demo Impressions
Jason Terry can dunk though...he dunks alot on breaks or if the defender falls asleep. He actually dunked on Shaq in the finals if u didn't see it. But don't 4get, the demo's on "Pro" and on higher difficulty levels, that'll be toned down.Originally posted by Mighty MosMy restlessness is my nemesis, it's hard 2 really chill and sit still
