Thats what I was thinking. Run the plays over with no defense just to get a feeling for them.Comment

Re: Official Playbook thread...
I'm a plays type of guy... thanks for the compliment bro
I usually only do them for the Cavs and Lakers, but I'll see what I can churn out. There are quite a few plays though that you all will have to study and see all of the different options. A lot of them require quite a few passes before the shot, which is what I love.

Re: Official Playbook thread...
For the bulls i use these 4 right now havent made it to 8 yet
i belive its SG option,SF TAKE.PG DRIVE, PF-SF INSIDE OUT. Those plays work great for Gordon/Kirk/Thomas/Deng/NOC. Bulls run SCREENS ALL GAME LONG. For real watch a game its nothing but players comeing off screens because we have no post up game. But Thomas is good in this game on post ups.Comment

Re: Official Playbook thread...
I noticed that some of the plays force the defensive AI to play along...
IE, if you call for a screen, the CPU will rarely get lost, or leave the screener wide open. But if you run the PF Pick and Fade play, the CPU will double the ballhandler and leave the PF wide open almost every time....Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Official Playbook thread...
Okay, here we go.
Check this link below for general stuff about the plays and playbooks in this game:
Playbook references for NBA 2K7
And if you’re running plays with the Sonics check here:
Tips for running plays
I’ll start off with the Raptors. There may be some debate about this, but here is my preferred starting lineup.
PG - T.J. Ford
SG – Fred Jones
SF – Morris Peterson
PF – Chris Bosh
C – Rasho Nesterovic
As you all can see, I start Fred Jones and bring Andrea Bargnani off the bench. Why? Well, I just don’t like putting Mo Pete at the 2 guard spot. I don’t think he has the athleticism to flourish at that spot. Jones would be better suited for this spot, even though his jumper isn’t all that consistent. Plus the Raptors playbook puts the SF in better position to score from the perimeter (Mo Pete’s forte) in majority of plays. The only time Mo Pete at the 2 is whenever I play him and Bargnani at the same time, but that would be only for short stretches of a game. Now on to the plays.
Comeback PF (Flex 3 set)
First off, whenever using the Raptors you gotta start off calling stuff for the man of the squad, Chris Bosh. This is a Post play for him. T.J. Ford stands at the top of the key then passes the basketball to Fred Jones standing at the sideline behind the arc. Bosh will move from the weakside over to the post on Jones’ side then call for the ball. Then Jones feeds it to him. Time for Bosh to showcase his skills on the low block. Should be a staple play for Raptors users. Matter of fact, all Post plays I mention for Bosh should be staples to call on the fly.
Postfeed PF (Flex 2 set)
Another Post play for Bosh. This play was formerly called “Post Feed Option PF” in past NBA 2K games. In this play Ford initially moves toward the weakside away from the side of the court Bosh is on, then passes the ball to Ford who’s on the same side of the court as Bosh. Jones pops out from a Bosh screen down low to move to the arc. Ford passes the ball to Jones, then Jones relays the ball to Bosh on the block. Bosh then can go to work. Be aware that making crosscourt passes like the one that has to be made Ford to Jones in this play can be risky, so make sure that passing lane is there so to not get the pass deflected or intercepted.
High Low PF (Flex 3 set)
Yet another Post play for Bosh. This play is ran similar to “Comeback PF” with the difference being that Mo Pete slowly moves toward the free throw line area as Bosh gets the ball on the low block. It’s a good idea to call on this play after Bosh has already done some damage scoring in the post. Because in this play if Bosh had been wearing down his man in the post, Mo Pete can get open jumpers from that spot just from his man going to double down on Bosh.
Screen Screener SF (Box set)
This is a play for Mo Pete. Ford has the ball near the top of the key and moves toward the side of the court where Jones pops out in the corner. But Jones is the decoy/alternative option in the play as Mo Pete comes up from the baseline coming off a Bosh screen and moves toward the elbow. Then Ford hits Mo Pete with the pass for either the elbow jumper, a drive to the basket or stop and get into triple threat stance. Bargnani could do some damage with this play too. But he’s more suited to stop and pop instead of slashing to the basket.
SF Misdirection (Box set)
Another play for Mo Pete (or Bargnani). Ford has the ball near the top of the key and moves toward the side of the court where Jones pops out in the corner. Then Ford passes the ball to Bosh standing near the FT line. Bosh slowly moves in the direction opposite Ford and waits for Mo Pete to come off the baseline screen from Nesterovic. Then Bosh gets Mo Pete the rock on the wing for the stop and pop J. Mo Pete does have the choice to drive to the basket, but it would be kind of difficult to get all the way there since Bosh’s man could cut-off his path to the basket. Do so at your own risk.
Point Shuffle SF (1-4 High set)
This one is Mo Pete (or Bargnani). Ford has the ball near the top of the key, passes the ball to Bosh then move a few steps in the opposite direction of him. Bosh then relays the ball to Jones in the corner. Jones dribbles from the corner along the arc up to the near the wing of the court. Mo Pete is standing on the opposite corner of the court, then comes around the double screen set by Bosh and Nesterovic to pop out near the top of the key. With good timing, Jones passes the ball get to Mo Pete for the open trey.
High Rub SG-PF (Baseline 1 set)
This is a Screen play for Jones and Bosh that could be disguised as a Pick & Roll play. Ford passes the ball to Mo Pete standing on the sideline, then moves to the opposite corner of the court. Mo Pete then passes the ball to Jones who moves to the top of the key. As Jones has the ball here, Bosh comes toward him and set a screen to free him for either a FT line jumper or drive to the basket. Or Jones can back out and hit Bosh as Bosh dives to the basket like what occurs in a typical Pick & Roll play.
SG Rub Iso (Baseline 1 set)
This play involves Jones and Bosh. Ford passes the ball to Mo Pete standing on the sideline away from the other players. Then Mo Pete gets the ball to Jones standing near the top of the key. Jones then goes around the Bosh setting a screen at the elbow area. From here Jones have the choice to stop and pop or drive to the basket if the path to the cup is there. Or Jones have the option to pass back to Bosh for the elbow jumper if Bosh’s man goes to help out on him after he goes around the screen.

Re: Official Playbook thread...
This is a section on the Grizzlies. Here is my preferred starting lineup:
PG - Damon Stoudamire
SG - Eddie Jones
SF - Rudy Gay
PF - Pau Gasol
C - Jake Tsakalidis
Not much of a surprise here with this starting lineup. The only I think worth mentioning is that I prefer to start Rudy Gay over Mike Miller because of his athleticism. Plus Gay is better defensively. As odd as it seems, it was enticing for me to actually consider starting Hakim Warrick at C since he's rated higher overall. But I can't do that because Warrick just can't rebound like big Jake, which is something sorely needed running with this team. That big boy Jake can engulf boards at times. Instead, Warrick get spot minutes at the C spot for me and also Stromile Swift if Warrick gets in foul trouble. I also prefer to use Brian Cardinal as backup PF, not backup SF. No way can he guard opposing 3s -- even scrub ones. Plus it's easier to exploit a matchup problem with his ability to shoot 3s if he's playing at the PF position since PF aren't accustomed to guarding the perimeter. Now for the plays.
Comeback PF (Flex 3 set)
Remember what I had said when I posted this play in the Raptors section? Look it over and apply it for this team as well. Pau Gasol is as dangerous a post player as Bosh while playing the same position, and it's only right to take advantage of that skill.
Postfeed PF (Flex 2 set)
Ditto for this play. Great play to use for Gasol in the post.
Power Play PF (Triangle 5 set)
This Post play is designed for, you guessed it -- Gasol. It starts off with a pass from Stoudamire to Jones on the opposite end of the court then the ball is worked around the perimeter to Gay then back to Jones, then Stoudamire and eventually to Gasol as he's setting up on the low block. This play takes some time to develop, but it's good to call on every now and then when you discover Gasol getting constant double teams from the defense after calling other Post plays.
Pick Fade PG-SF (Baseline 1)
This is a 2-man involving Stoudamire and Gay. Stoudamire has the ball near the top of the key then goes around the screen set by Gay at the elbow. From here Stoudamire could go all the way to the hoop or stop and pop. But if Gay's man come to trap Stoudamire near the baseline on the way to the hoop then Stoudamire can hit Gay for the open elbow jumper.
SF Misdirection (Box set)
Look for the explanation in the Raptors section. It's good to use for Gay and Miller (or Jones if you go really small).
SG Dive (Triangle 1 set)
This is a good play to run for Jones to take advantage of his ability to drive and finish. Stoudamire has the ball at the top of the key then moves toward the opposite sideline waiting for Jones to make his move. Jones then go around the Gasol screen at the FT line area and cuts to the basket. If Stoudamire times his pass well enough Jones can go straight to the basket on the catch. Otherwise, Jones ends up in the post.
SG Option C (Triangle 1 set)
Refer to Sonics section for the explanation of this play. Be warned that it's is not as effective as it is for the Sonics since Ray Allen is a better shooter and overall player, but it can work well for Jones nonetheless.
Inside Out SF (Triangle 6 set)
This is a 2-man good play that involves Gay and Jones. Stoudamire passes the ball to Jones on the wing, then Jones gets the ball to Gay in the post. Gay can either try to score quickly or kick it back out to Jones. After a kickout to jones, Gay comes out to set a screen for Jones to free him up for elbow/FT line area J.
