Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
Are these plays only for the user? or will the CPU also use these plays in-game?"Love me or hate me, it’s one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, my swagger. Hate my fadeaway, my hunger. Hate that I’m a veteran. A champion. Hate that. Hate it with all your heart. And hate that I’m loved, for the exact same reasons.”- Kobe BryantComment

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
I'm not totally sure about that. I assigned the TWolves playbook some of Kruza's plays. When I played against them, KG got the ball more than he did before I assigned the plays but they also ran plays that werent in the Twolves playbook.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
Now for the Suns. Starting lineup:
PG - Steve Nash
SG - Raja Bell
SF - Shawn Marion
PF - Boris Diaw
C - Amare Stoudemire
I see no major issues here with this roster. The only minor thing I can report is that I would've like to have Kurt Thomas as center and slide Amare Stoudemire over to the 4 spot. But Boris Diaw is too good a player to not have starting. So Thomas is relegated to being the backup PF/C. As for the plays:
PF Screen (1-4 High set)
Like I've said before, this play is a must-run for a playmaking type PG who has the skills that Steve Nash possesses. Check the Sonics section for a more detailed description of this one.
Forward Dive Option (1-4 High set)
This can be a great play to use counter for those who have been abused with the "PF Screen" play often and thinks they have found an answer. In this play, Nash hovers around the top of the key standing around as if he's waiting for a screen from Diaw ("PF Screen"). But instead of setting a screen, Diaw suddenly dives to the basket. Then Nash can serve him the dish. Good play for catching the defender guarding Diaw anticipating to trap Nash if he were to go around a Diaw screen.
High Rub PG-C ( Baseline 1 set)
A nice play to use that involves Nash and Stoudemire. Check the Pistons section for a rundown of this play.
Baseline Exchange (Motion 1 set)
A play to give Diaw a chance to showcase his skills on the wing near the baseline (or for Stoudemire if you go with a big lineup). See the Mavericks section for explanation.
Low Post SF (1-4 High set)
It's time to give Marion something. Here, Marion gets the ball in the post from Nash, who goes around a Stoudemire screen set near the arc. Marion doesn't have standout low post skills, but he can usually finish near the basket.
Return PG-PF (Motion 1 set)
This is a P&R play involving Nash and Diaw (though Barbosa can run this just about as well). Refer to the Pistons section for a description.
Shuffle Rub C (Motion 3 set)
This play is designed to get Stoudemire the rock near the basket. Nash passes the ball to Diaw on the wing. Then Stoudemore goes around a Marion screen set deep inside the paint to make a shuffle cut from one side of the paint to the other side. Then Diaw passes it off to Stouamire at this moment. Needless to say that Stoudemire is tough to stop from scoring whenever he has the ball in this area.
PG Reversal (1-4 High set)
Yet another good play to run for Nash or for Marion coming off the double screen at the FT line. Check the Knicks section for an explanation of this play.

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
I hope that's not just coincidence. It would actually be a very nice touch if the AI ran plays out of the whole book but decision-making were weighted to favor mapped plays. It could help solve the real (or perceived) problem that the AI does not involve star players enough.

I wanted to test this out so I played a game against the CPU with Kruza's playbooks. I turned the CPU's play calling to "auto w/ message" and watched them call plays. The CPU used most of the plays in its playbook but seemed to call the quick plays more than others. I'm going to try it a few more times.Comment

I had the same problem and saved them by making a playbook file, it worked because it loads everytime now.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K7 Playbook Thread...
I think I'm confused. Do you edit the quick plays for each team, then save everything as 1 playbook file? Or, do you save 1 playbook file for each team? If it's the first way, how do you do it? Thanks."We were expecting a miracle with Elite, but instead we got Jesus at halfcourt."

I had this problem too. Save your playbook first and then save your vip.Comment
