24...are you talking about Beluba's gameplay vids?

Because, as somone who played Live 09 a lot, I can tell you they are absolutely nothing like Live 09. They are a massive improvement.

2k might once again surpass Live, but Live will be a lot better this year than last. A lot. (they have had to improve a lot LOL).

the Draft Combine although is said to play different than 2K10 still has me a bit skeptical at 2k10 to some extent. I keep trying to play it and keep that okay this isn't 2k10 mind frame but i'm really not sure about how 2k10 will play. I just can't get over how bad the player control is, and yes I said bad you don't seem to have complete freedom over your character and I hope 2K10 has more player control i need my freedom of movement! Come on 2K do not disappoint me again this year.

Yeah. my main gripes are the player movement, the rebounding, and the fastbreak transiton speed/logic. All problems from 2k9 that are still in the combine. I expect the fastbreak thing to be cleaned up a little, but the player movement worries me. If its the same as it is in the combine then its a game killer for me.

There appears to be a number of subtle improvement I believe will only make my experience richer.

In other news, does the spelling of "sceptic" vary from region to region? I was sure it was universally "skeptic" but I've read it can indeed be either. Are you in the United States?
Count me in as another one of those gents who loved 2k9. My only gripe was the horrid commentary. The major upgrade they gave presentation is really all they needed to do for me. Still it sounds like the game has improved in others areas too.

That, and when you have position for the rebound some dude jumps over your back and gets the rebound. It happens too much. The other game had this problem last year too..

It's also disturbing that almost every "new" gameplay feature live is showing off has been in nba 2k for a while now. Lastly, 2k really doesn't need a lot of hype because it's sales and track record speak for itself.

The EA hype machine is in full effect as always. I'm not saying Live hasn't improved but after falling prey to Madden this year, I'm going to rent the game first before putting down my 60 dollars. IMHO the weaker game always needs the biggest hype. It's just the way it is. EA does that well but rarely do they deliver IMO.

I haven't bought the draft combine, but I do believe 2k10 will be a better game than 2k9. The question is for me, will that be enough to keep me playing 2k10 through the entire bball season? I hope so. I do think this will be the best season for bball gamers.

I wasn't going to post anything up to this point! But seriously some of you guys are too funny! Why is it, every time someone discusses 2k series, you go into this negative bashing of EA products just to justify why you like 2k9 and why your buying 2k10.

For one, no one said, " if 2k10 ends up disappointing you have to go buy Live 10"! If 2k10 sucks or is bad, just stop playing games if you can't live without them and write TT some real negative letters on your anger issues!

So many bias comments in here it's sickening, I remember when Operationsports was about sports gaming and sports, not about one corporation vs another! You guys can't even focus on what's wrong with the 2k series and how they are going in a downward spiral, without trying to point out Electronic Art's issues to justify what 2k is doing.

Leave EA out the equation, focus on where 2k basketball needs improvements, because 2k9 was a hell of a disappointment to me, and I still like 2k8 better! 2k9 I could barely complete one game and when I tried, by the 4th quarter I shut it off and played something else. I mean damn I still play College Hoops 2k8 more than NBA 2k9. A College game over a NBA game! 1 year older?

To say they can just sit back and wait until October or the last week of September to begin feeding us on info, when the game comes out the 1st week of October, is a bunch of crap! Especially when some of us, have already pre-ordered the $100 Collector's Edition. I mean they are really going to start marketing this game and now! I think all of us as fans and consumers have waited long enough!

Playing Draft Combine is frustration hell! And if 2k10 is going to play like this, I won't be playing it much!

Things will have to improve in 2k10 otherwise it will collect dust, or I might just cancel my reservation!

                              - Graphics will have to change period!
                              - Better controls and better defense A.I.
                              - More options on editing and on information in Association (coaching options)
                              - Better online setup - I want to play ranked games against friends! Bring back the lobbies
                              - More informative commentary ( but from reading blog - it might be perfect finally)
                              - Better sideline and crowd animations - Also reduce the jaggies around the player models when not on a cutscene or replay!

Shadows, I agree with your gripe about 2K's marketing. It's frustrating. Their marketing team still doesn't get it.

The user control does need improvement. It's so annoying when you get trapped in an animation and can't break out of it. We need branching animations.

Expectation is high that we'll experience a much better game, as indicated by Chase in his preview. I guess we can only speculate about the game's quality at this stage though, as it seems we need to file a Freedom Of Information Act request just to see a gameplay video. Patience is a virtue, I know.
