My reason for complaining about there marketing ways is because, I feel it's a wise decision to see and hear feedback from there customers about some problems they may need to address, in some ways it can help them deal with situations or problems that we pick up on that they may not notice which can make patches go much more smoothly if needed and they won't have so much to fix.

I feel when they reach out to show there customers the product much earlier and able to talk about what problems they addressed and get our feedback it only helps make there game that much better, you see EA is doing a good job of this way of marketing and there product is seeing much better results so far than in previous years.

Maybe I shouldn't use the word marketing...

I think they could bury their comp if they took on this attitude especially with all the annoying fanboys every game has.

well i agree that if 2k market heavy like EA, they would crush LIVE. HOWEVER i dont want them to, i rather 2k let EA do all the hype and let EA have supporters and 2k does it thing and have it supporters as well. the reason why im saying this is because competition bring out the best of people and us consumers needs to experience that battle and enjoy in our living room and bedroom or wherever u have your system at.

I DO NOT, i repeat, I DO NOT, i repeat, I DOT NOT............................................... .................................................. . want another MADDEN scenario out here in the sports genre.

if you preferring to madden, then this new customer feedback is nothing but a joke. they did nothing they say they was gone do and people see that and they have not seen in the sales department also cause madden 09 sold more than madden 10 as this stage

My opinion on 2k is that they seem to not be comfortable in the lead dog role, i think they would rather be considered underdogs instead . just my opinion.

This is true, but also many have agreed that Madden 10 is the best Madden on next gen consoles which I am one of those people who do believe it is the best madden game to day as for I couldn't stand playing 09. But as far as the sales goes, you can also add the blame for sales drop to the economy being in bad shape right now as we have seen a drop in sales across the board when it comes to gaming this year than last year.

But I was mainly talking about Live and the direction it has been going the last few years has been a positive move versus 2K being more stagnant with there move as far as game quality is concerned

UFC sold fine this year and this is the first year on next gen they had some horrendous past titles. so i dont buy into the economy if people want madden they would get it, but people know madden wasnt going to good so they saving there money on a better game and that NBA 2k10. madden 10 is the best madden YEA but its not the best football game so madden being better than itself is hurting the franchise more than its helping

Yeah man neither do I but I don't see the problem with 2K using that top dog role to their advantage more.

Unlike Madden the NBA isn't trying to sell the rights to just one company so I don't think that will be a problem.

I think it will just create more comp because then each company will be competing even more to show their game is the best Basketball Simulation.

In accordance to a couple other posts that suggest 2K9 was a dissapointment and there's no way of anyone getting around that, I respectfully disagree once more. It is okay if one was dissapointed with their product, but it is hardly the feeling of the majority and certainly not an accepted fact.

I agree wholeheartedly about about marketing a game 3 months before release. I don't see this great rush to make a decision so fast. Some people want to see info in June for a game that releases in September or else they say they won't buy it. It just makes no sense. There will be plenty of info out prior to release and if that isn't enough, then people can always rent the game to see if they like it.

I can agree with this, I didn't mean it as the economy is the main reason for it but I do think it plays a part in it a bit especially since madden has a reputation of being decent at best on Next Gen. With Madden being the only NFL Football game it hurts there too because no one has anything else to place there money towards so it kills sells there too since there is no competition to compare it too. That licensing comes to bite EA in the... well you know what I mean

How about buying a game and then trading it in for the other game? This needs to be taken into account as well. I mean, when you sell a unit you sell a unit. But if the person trades it in for the competitor, it may lead him to favor the competitor next time or maybe convince people he knows to buy that game too. There are many issues to think about, it's probably more complicated than it seems.
