      I dont have the game yet but plan on starting an association right away with the bulls. My only question is whether or not they have Omir Asik on the team with the official rosters?

        Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

        3 games into my second season of my Thunder association having lost the opening game to a completely revamped kings team. Carmelo, aaron brooks, jeff green, tyreke evans and cousins. They dominated me. I won my next 2 against the Jazz and Magic respectively. I've notixed a couple of odd things though. The game of the day or week thing they do between quarters doesn't work anymore and inexplicably my season is listed as 2012-2013. There was no 2011-2012 season and my contracts with players all seem to be accurate. Just odd really.

        My last game against the Magic was epic. I play 8 min uarters and I won 73-72 in overtime. I was, however, up by 4 with 12 seconds to play in regulation, they inbound the ball, come up the court and Rashard Lewis stops and drains a 3. okay, up by one, inbound the ball to Westbrook, get fouled and hit both my free throws. They call time out and get the ball to Jameer Nelson who takes a long 3 with a hand in the face and of course, nothing but net. I get the ball back with .9 seconds get an inbound to Westbrook in the corner, but clang the game winning 3.

        In over time they get out on me quick, most of the period I'm down 4. Except in the last minute I went with the get the ball to Durant strategy no matter what and with a 3 a 5 second back to the basket call on Rashard Lewis (wow!) and a nailed jumper I won when Nelson missed his last second 3 this time. I've played like 50 games and that is the first overtime game I've had.

          I was just simulating an association as the Lakers to make sure the AI would still do trades (because I started to play my association from pre-patch again and the AI still didn't make a single trade in the 2nd season). I'm not about to stick with this association or anything but I felt the need to post this because after a few trades (traded away Bynum and someone else for Danny Granger, made a trade that brought in Landry Fields, signed Rafer Alston and Tayshaun Prince in FA), the Lakers went 68-14 and Kobe won MVP averaging 26.6, 5, 4.5 and 1.9 steals (yes, someone not named LeBron James won an MVP!)

            Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

            So I got tired of playing with the Wizards. It was just to easy to drive and score with John Wall. Decided to start fresh with a new team. Came down to Toronto, LA Clippers, and Minnesota. Ruled out Minnesota, because they just have so much young talent that I wouldn't have to really rebuild; just wait a few years for some of those guys to blossom. I thought long and hard about Toronto, but I felt like they were such a freaking mess that I would have to completely blow up the team and start over which I don't really like to do.

            I really like what the Clippers have to offer. Blake Griffin is obviously a cornerstone and guys like Baron Davis and Kaman will be solid players and possible trade bait. Eric Gordon and Aminu are also good young players that I can build around.

            I don't plan on making any moves, barring injury, until the deadline. If we are contending for a playoff spot, then I will probably just keep the roster as is. If, however, we are totally out of contention then I may try to trade Davis and Kaman for expiring contracts (and maybe Melo will actually test free agency; 3 associations into the second season and Melo has re-signed everytime). I'll deal with that when the time comes though.

              Yes they do. They update the rosters pretty often.

              Wait, what? Epic is uncensored now?

              BTW that CPU Kings team is hilarious. There's basically no defense to be found anywhere in that starting 5.

                Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

                Bah it sucked so bad. I knew the Celtics didn't play like the Celtics in the regular season, but I was hoping they would step it up in the playoffs. Only 2 games were somewhat close, the other 2 were blowouts. It's not that it's too easy, it's that they didn't play like themselves. They did too many iso's and not enough ball movement, and the veteran experience and knowledge of the game is of course impossible to duplicate in a video game, so they just didn't stand a chance to my Miami Heat. I beat the Celtics in a sweeping fashion, 4 games to none. Going to face the Thunder in the NBA Finals, hopefully this is a little better. Oh and I forgot to mention, I won by 40 points, 11 points, 35 points, and 22 points respectively in each of the games. Here are the results for the Conference Finals.

                Western Conference Finals:

                #3 seed Thunder knock out the #4 seed Hornets in a 4-0 series

                Eastern Conference Finals:

                #1 seed Heat (me) knock out the #2 seed Celtics in a 4-0 series.

                NBA Finals Matchup:

                #1 seed in the East, Heat vs the #3 seed in the West, Thunder

                I'm 12-0 in the playoffs while the Thunder are 12-2 in the playoffs. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant have dominated game in and game out for them while Dwayne Wade and LeBron James have dominated either by getting assists and getting the rest of the team involved, or by scoring like their usual selves, and a couple times both as LeBron has 2 triple-doubles in the playoff's already. My usual game plan works perfectly here as I can just sag off of them and let them shoot the outside shot all day because Harden and Durant are the only ones who can shoot the 3 consistently well. Otherwise I can't be hesitant on offense to shoot the three as I expect them to pack it in with their excellent defense. Hoping to come out of the NBA Finals with a title.

                    Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

                    Season1 [as] Mavs (All-30 Teams) Association:

                    Got in 3 more games since my last post...2 played, 1 simmed, all wins baby!

                    Most importantly I've played 5 games in FEB, won them all, and 4 have been on the road. The Mavs are 8-2 in their last 10, and Dirk has been on fire in FEB w/ 3 double doubles in his past 5 games scoring no less than 25 and going for 30+ twice.

                    Beat the Bobcats 94-78...Mavs shot 48% while the Cats shot 41%. Mavs won the TO battle 8 to 9, and Dallas had the 3 going making 8 of 17 while Charlotte shot a pedestrian 4/12 from 3. The Dallas benched shined pouring in 37 while the Bobcats could only produce 14 pts from their bench. Gerald Wallace, SJax, Diaw, and Stuckey all played 35+ minutes and w/ exception to Diaw who went 4-6 the big3 for Charlotte (Wallace, Jackson, Stuckey) shot a combined 37%. Steve Novak made an appearance in this one, knocking down 3 three's en route to an 11 pt effort off the bench, and Dirk finished w/ 25 & 11.

                    Prior to the next game, my NBA.com menu stated that Camby plans to retire at the end of the season despite being under contract for 2 years. (1) I don't think I'm going to re-sign Oden to the Blazers (2) I sent them Aaron Gray in part of trying to get J.Jack to NOH and Bayless to Toronto so Pryzbilla/Gray will be there centers in 2011-12.

                    Onto the final game I got in tonight...DAL @ SAC. 1st qtr was in coach mode while I chilled w/ the fam. A very slow qtr as no team busted out, Sac finished the 1st up 16-14. Taking over from the 2nd qtr on, the Kings managed to hang around for most the game until the Mavs made a late push with about 5:00 left in the 4th qtr. In the end Dallas was too much in the 4th qtr, and outscored the Kings 36-25 to win by 6pts 98-92. Jason Terry was HUGE, he hit 5 2nd half 3pt'ers, and 3 of them came in the 4th qtr allowing Dallas to cut a lead in half, and then later take the lead back.

                    Dirk finished w/ 29 and 10 w/ an assist and 2 steals while shooting 13-27 with 3 free throws in 3 trips. Terry came off the bench to play 31 minutes, and hang 22 on the Kings. He was the better option in this one despite Roddy Beaubois starting; I really love having both those guys and having the option of who to plug into the lineup. Caron was horrible but came through nicely late in the 4th, he shot a putrid 7-21 though. Kidd was solid, 14pts and 12 assists to go w/ 4 boards and 2 3's.

                    GET THIS...The Mavs, dealing with Tyson Chandler out for 4-6 weeks and Brendan Haywood nursing a sprained ankle lost backup center Ian Mahinmi for the season w/ a torn MCL. Sooo...I signed vet C Mikki Moore to the vet minimum, and he actually played a productive 20 minutes against the Kings finishing w/ 5pts and 6 boards.

                    For the Kings they had a balanced attack on offense, but mostly because Tyreke Evans shot 6-22. I think a lineup/rotation change is in order for them because I saw Garcia getting a lot of minutes and not being useful. Meanwhile, Donte Greene was lighting me up again, scoring 11 pts in 16 minutes and shooting 5-6 only to be subbed out in favor of a struggling Garcia. Jason Thompson was a tough matchup too, he had 12 pts on 5-9 shooting and should be getting more minutes too.

                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                    To wrap up this post I decided to pull the trigger on a deal that furthers the Pistons rebuild.
                    Pistons send: Tayshaun Prince, Kwame Brown, and a DET 2nd Rd pick (which was actually the Hornets 2nd rd pick from the deal that sent New Orleans Big Ben, Maxiell, and Charlie V) to Golden State and Rip Hamilton to the Nets.
                    Warriors send: Brendan Wright, Dan Gadzuric, Vladimir Radmanovic, and a 2011 1st Rd pick to Detroit; basically about $18M in expiring deals.
                    Nets send: Troy Murphy to Detroit in exchange from Rip Hamilton.
                    What this does for Detroit is leave Ben Gordon, Greg Monroe, Wil Bynum, and Austin Daye as the only Pistons under contract for the upcoming 2011-12 season. The Pistons now have 3 1st Round picks in the upcoming draft, and 2 2nd Round picks.
                    For Golden State they get a solid SF in Prince who can be a rental to help them make the playoffs -Or- they can opt to extend him in the offseason. Either way he upgrades them defensively, and fits them well given his length and defensive abilities.
                    For NJ they get a solid veteran leader, they take on some cap constraint since they move an expiring contract for Rip's 3yr deal, but they will still have about $14M in cap room in the coming offseason. Which brings me to the caps for these teams before and after the trades....
                    Detroit 2011-12 cap before deal: $29.12M
                    Detroit 2011-12 cap AFTER deal: $41.71M
                    GSW 2011-12 cap before deal: $14.76M
                    GSW 2011-12 cap AFTER deal: $14.75M
                    *Cap doesn't change since both players received have expiring deals, but GSW lost a #1 pick.
                    Nets 2011-12 cap before deal: $26.60M
                    Nets 2011-12 cap AFTER deal: $13.95M
                    So NJ loses a little cap flexibility in the upcoming offseason, but they're about 5 games out of an 8th seed and coming off a near historic losing season.... a shot to make the playoffs coming off 2009-10 would be a shot in the arm for this young squad. Hamilton gives them a veteran leader, and a much needed scoring option since the Nets rank 27th in TEAM pts per game.
                    Anthony Morrow was starting and only avg'ing 8.5/gm, Rip Hamilton comes avg'ing 16/gm and plays better defense.
                      Hi I'm also in an Associate with the Timberwolves and wanted to ask you, what trades would you consider as reasonable? I thought you could for example try a better PF for Tolliver maybe go for Speights or perhaps Thompson of the Kings. Then I thought better sg would be nice because I do not particularly like Brewer I was thinking of Shannon Brown which would then play as the sixth man. What do you say to my ideas? Please tell me what trades do you think are good for the team.
                      Sorry for my bad english but I'am for Germany.
                        3rd season Oklahoma City Thunder:
                        After making it to the finals against the Bobcats, I was down 3 -0 and it was looking terrible. I blew a ten point lead in the third game in the fourth quarter and Brandon Knight and Gerald Wallace were killing me.
                        Fourth game was away at Charlotte and I was still hopeful that I could revive my season. I won the game; it was a blow out with Austin Daye racking up a triple-double with 25 points and a 55% FG. 5th game was also away and I won it too, with a great performance from Westbrook with a double-double. I'm now 3-2 down and back at OKC and hopefully I can tame Wallace and Knight to get to the decider at home!
                          It was for Joakim Noah and Boozer for David Lee, but I wasnt looking to get David Lee I was looking to get Monta
                          Bulls Recieved
                          Monta Ellis
                          Robert Carney
                          Joakim Noah
                          Loul Deng
                          Then I simmed the rest of the season and we ended up winning the championship, I had a HUGE void at SF too. I was planning on playing the entire year but I guess I couldn't wait. I simmed through most of the off-season to free some space and lost James Johnson I couldn't get anyone in the draft so afterwords I looked on the Trade Finder and saw I could get rid of Omar Asik for Damion James and I bit
                          No real free agency signs actually none at all my current rotation is
                          (I had used some different rosters)
                          Point - Derrick Rose - 88 Ovr
                          SG - Monta Ellis - 85 Ovr
                          SF - Damion James - 71 Ovr
                          PF - Taj Gibson - 72 Ovr
                          C - Carlos Boozer - 89 Ovr
                          I sent D.Rose to perimiter camp
                          Monta also to Permiter Camp
                          then I sent Damion to Combo Guard thats what boosted his OVR
                          then Taj to big man offense
                          I think this was a bad trade for you, besides Monta Ellis what was your motive ? you must really like the guy to pull this one off.
                                I prefer Rose to Rondo since I can score with him. Only way Rondo scores if he attacks the basket.
