Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm now 8-7 with the Bulls after having Deng and Rose miss a game or two with injuries. They're back and healthy and I've won two straight. Just pulled off a trade last night as well, tell me what you think. Traded James Johnson, Brian Scalabrine, and next years 2nd round pick for Damien James. This move gave me some more flexibility with the salary cap plus I got the coveted swing man I've been looking for since Bogans is absolutely dreadful off the bench. I'm excited about the trade, can't wait to see how he fits in with my team.
Starters:
Derrick Rose
Kyle Korver
Luol Deng
Carlos Boozer
Joakim Noah
Bench:
C.J. Watson
Ronnie Brewer
Damien James
Taj Gibson
Kurt Thomas
Love the way my roster looks now, Bulls are primed to make a playoff push!Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just a question for you guys are you playing which game length are you playing for your association i am currently doing a 29 game season and full playoffs but i am afraid it will go by way to fast and i will get bored quicker with the association. Any suggestions to keep things more interesting i want an authentic feel but 82 games is just too damn long. i have a life.NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves
NFL:Minnesota Vikings
NHL:New Jersey Devils
NCAA: Minnesota GophersComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
5-1 with the Celtics - just had a blowout win over the Bulls 112-88. Rose went down in the 3rd and that was it for the Bulls offense. It's amazing to see everything flowing through that kid, once he went down it was like they couldn't do anything right.
Granger dropped 39 in that game. Allen had 18 - Garnett only had 3 points, quiet night for him.Comment

12 min quarters
All-Star/Sim settings (upped user and cpu 3-point shooting 3 points)
I'm like you, I don't want to wait 82 games until I get to the playoffs. I feel like this is the perfect settings for someone looking for a good sim association.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I had the best game against the Jazz, i frickin love this game. Went into the 4th quarter losing by 9, made a run of 15-4 and was able to get the winning shot in the last 20 seconds by Ellis
Game was going great (43-42 at the end of the 1st half) until the 3rd quarter, man those turnovers began to pile up...
Bobcats 89 - 87 Jazz
Player of the game: Arenas
17 points
9 assists
6 steals
(2-1)

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I am not a huge hoops fan so I bounce around from team to team, as you can see from my posts in here. I have 14 associations. though some are redos of the same thing. I downloaded draft classes and that felt too easy so I decided to use the created classes and pick a team I wouldn't normally use. I went with new jersey I was sick of getting rapesticked by the good lopez I figured I'd put him on my team.
I moved harris, favors and terrence williams year one
I had some draft picks that I turned into a pretty good small forward and a meh point guard, the pg I wanted went one pick after me. However favors was so furious that his overall had dropped 10 points so toronto offered me the pg I wanted straight up. I just played them and he went for 26 and 10. So I jumped all over it.
I simmed through year 2 that pg was rookie of the year, I won the atlantic and made the playoffs, I lost to indiana in 7, and then made a move and landed 1 overall. took an unscouted sg who was an 82 overall and awesometown. I added camby and webster.
I went 40-42 snuck into the playoffs as the 8 seed against miami and played game 1 of hte playoffs
This game is why this is the best sports game I have ever played.
the biggest lead for either team was 4, we traded baskets bac and forth, I was down 3 after 1 up 2 at the half, up3 at the end of the 3rd on a 3 as time expired. and the 4th was just a monster game trading basket after basket. miami pulled ahead by one about half way through, we traded baskets alternating leads every trip down until I hit a 3 with about 3 minutes left. Webster was automatic from the field going 5-6 for 12 points. My pg had 25 and single handedly took over the last 57 seconds of the game. I ended up winning 82-75 but that was 5-7 free throws, including a missed dunk by wade with 26 seconds left that would have cut the lead to 2, not a contested miss a pure whiff. Lopez was garbage in the first half and in the 4th was absolutely money, I am an awful post player, once I g to post tutorial he should really become a larger part of my offense, but I was drained after that game it was the most intense game I've ever played.
pg-sweet created dude I traded for, jordan farmar
sg-fantastic rookie, anthony morrow(huge mancrush)
sf-sweet draft pick, martell webster(love this dude)
pf-blatche, troy murphy(I despise his soul)
c-lopez, petro, milic(his contract is up and he's gone)
the playoffs are so different, s much more exciting and the intensity seems to be ratched up ten foldComment

I am going to ignore that smug comment regarding my question from sox, i make posts to get others input not to get cocky cyber swag. But thanks to the dude who suggested the 50+ game season i think that may work out for me as i like to play every game in my season.NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Through 5 games with the Oklahoma City Thunder, I am 3-2. Jeff Green has been disappointing both on the defense and offensive side of the ball, Has been getting dominated down low due to his small size. Kevin Durant (29.2 PPG & 11.6 RPG) earned player of the week for week 1. Russell Westbrook (20.8 PPG & 6.4 APG) has been playing great, James Harden is starting to come into his own, he has been my best defensive player and has chipped in 13.6 Points Per Game. Thabo Sefolosha is out for 4-6 weeks with a severe ankle sprain.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Finally was able to start my long-term association as we finally got the season-opening rosters, and I started it with the Miami Heat. Was a close game until the end, but I managed to pull away against the Celtics with a 101-86 victory at TD Garden. I will be playing every game this season, on 12 minutes quarters to give the most realistic outcome, and once I finish that I will probably continue playing in more seasons. I don't like simulating at all as I don't feel involved in the game enough, plus the game itself is just about flawless for me, so it works out. Anyways, my rotation looks like this, with player's name first followed by the minutes I set in my rotation, and not everyone will get these amount of minutes every game, for example I played LeBron all 48 minutes in the first game of the season.
PG: Carlos Arroyo - 24
SG: Dwayne Wade - 40
SF: LeBron James - 40
PF: Chris Bosh - 36
C: Joel Anthony - 28
Bench:
Mike Miller - 24
Udonis Haslem - 12
Dexter Pittman - 10
Zydrunas Illgauskas - 10
Eddie House - 8
Jerry Stackhouse - 8
Mario Chalmers - 4
Inactive:
Juwan Howard
James Jones
Jamal Maglooire
I will be switching James Jones and Juwan Howard in during the season for Chalmers, Stackhouse, Z, and Pittman throughout the season, Maglooire will likely remain there for the entirety of the season. I will post here again when I'm 20 games in with stats and such, so should be a week or so.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
lol each game just gets crazier... after losing by 17 points against Detriot at the end of the 1st half i was able to tie up 100-100 in the 4th quarter. At 0:03 Prince strikes from waaaaay outside and bam! 109-109. I'm gonna have an heart attack with this game...
edit - lost 124-120 (Player of the game - Stuckey 33 points)
