Well, I tweaked the shooting thru a lot of test games before the association I'm playing. I start it on Pro/Simulation - then I raise each of the shooting sliders before Dunk for the Player each 1 point. 3 Pointers, raise 2. For the CPU, repeat except make it 2 and 3, respectively. Also raise the CPU Layup 1 additional point.

May as well just post the 5 I use for each:
    Human: 46,46,50,47,47 --- CPU: 48,48,53,48,49

I then go to tendencies and raise Commit Fouls to 65, and after watching a whole season full of stats, I raise the Offensive Rebounding tendency to 90 for both teams. I didn't settle on the final CPU numbers for shooting til about 5 games in, and the ORB numbers were far too low, while I led the league in boards. The CPU (and the Human) not getting enough offensive rebounds were key in FG%'s.

Hope this helps, I have great games. 6 min quarters/29 games, play everything, never been happier with a sports game.

Thank you, good to know someone is following along because it immerses me all the more. That's the great thing, I didn't do much BIG in the first season other than the Love acquisition. I acquired a solid bench that could complement each other without getting pissed about minutes and personalities.

I used shrewd trading and stockpiled picks (like a Belichick) and then packaged them with solid assets to move up and get that young PG. I agonized over that draft. That player, along with Kevin Love and Greg Monroe, are who I want to build around. Carmelo coming along for the ride is just a bonus, and I wanted Harden more for his defense than his offense (except he packs a nice 3 pointer when you get it down!)

I don't update much during the season, usually every 10-15 games or so since that's pretty much half a season. Get so much more done with so much more of a feeling of accomplishment when you simulate nothing and you are relatively on-par with the rest of the league.

      Thanks for reading!

Well, it looks like my season is over...totally sucks...I tied with the Knicks for 8th seed...finished the year 40-42, and a couple games before I lost by 1 to the Bucks. Well I guess I will have to hope that next season I can get over the .500 hump and it looks like I might be getting the 2nd pick in the draft with the Raptors pick, so I have a great draft to look forward to. It is also very encouraging how well the Pistons did compared to last year- 13 game improvement is definitely significant.

MVP went to Nowitzki with 27.8 pts, 9.2 rebs and .521 FG%
        ROY to John Wall...20 pts, 6.8 ast, .462 FG%

Only player to make any All-teams was Greg Monroe, and he got on the All-Rookie 2nd team :/

After 4 games in my wizards franchise, I'm 2-2. I originally traded for joe johnson, but felt it was too unrealistic. So, I got Arenas back, and my lineup is

          PG Wall
          SG Arenas
          SF Hornton
          PF Blatche
          C McGee

          6th: Nick Young
          7th: Hinrich
          Thornton
          Jianlin

Simmed 2 of the games, one win and one loss. The first game i played was against the magic, and won. Then, i faced the hawks and had one of the best games of my videogaming career. it was a competitive game the whole time, and johnson had been lighting me up all night. So, with 4 seconds left, i sunk a jumper w/ wall, and they had the ball. Up by 1. then, after a hawks timeout, johnson is somehow able to jack up a last second off balance shot in traffic, and it rattles in. i lose, 92-91. next played game was against the knicks, and i won by 8. through the first two weeks, wall is averging a double double w/ 18-12, and another surprise star is nick young, averaging 25 pts a game.

            11. (10) Suns - 2817

            Notes
The Thunder are the hottest team in the NBA. They went 12-1 in January and jumped from the 8th spot in the West to the 4th. Also, the Lakers started to pick up some team and have cut our lead in the Pacific down to 2 games. Both of those teams are going to be very scary come playoff time. As for us, we had a tough January going 8-7. However, both Grant Hill and Channing Frye are coming back from injuries to start February so, we really looking to maintain our lead and have a strong month.

            Suns Starters
            Steve Nash - 22 PPG - 3.1 RPG - 9 APG - .5 SPG - 49% FG%

            Grant Hill - 14 PPG - 7 RPG - 1 SPG - 53% FG%
            Hedo Turkoglu - 12.5 PPG - 5 RPG - 3.3 APG - 42% FG%
            Robin Lopez - 7 PPG - 7 RPG - 1.3 BPG

            Key Bench Players
            Goran Dragic - 9 PPG - 3.2 APG
            Josh Childress - 9 PPG - 5.2 RPG
            Channing Frye - 7 PPG- 5.4 RPG

            Team Trends
We are a front running type of team. We have won 20 of 23 game in which we had the lead at the half and 25 of 27 when leading going into the 4th Quarter. On the flip side, we're only 7-13 in games in which we trailed at half-time and an abysmal 3-14 in games where we were behind entering the 4th. Crazy Stuff.

1-8 with the Cavs right now. I'd be 4-4 or so if I was smarter didn't blow leads in the 4th. talk about blowing a 15 point lead in 3 minutes.

Really lucky right now...got 1st pick in the draft...now what to draft.

                Right now I have...
                Louis Williams(75)
                Ben Gordon(79)
                Iggy(87)
                Charlie V(73)
                Monroe (72)

                Role Players: Daye(69), Bynum(72), Julian Wright(65)

I was really thinking about going PG and drafting Kemba Williams and I could hope to sign some people for my front court who may or may not be better. Another thought I had was to make some kind of trade so I move back a bit, get Kyrie, and upgrade Charlie V.

Started a Association with the Magic last night, I am 3-0. Was able to hold on to win against the Heat after a strong 3rd quarter rally from them which cut a 15 point halftime lead to only 4 going into the 4th.

And almost blew another halftime lead against the Knicks but Rashard Lewis was stroking it from 3 and made 8/13 from 3 finished the game with 42 points. JJ Redick added 7 3's of his own. I pulled away in the 4th and won 103-82.

Wondering if anyone thinks I should trade Vince Carter? He hasn't been a big factor for me and wondering who I could possibly trade him for.

                      Bulls Association

I have Keith Bogans as my starter but he sucks, so I was looking around the rosters to see if there was anyone I could trade him for, when my eyes stumbled across Roddy B.

I am seriously debating trading for him because I think Ronnie B and Roddy B could have something special. Ronnie would be the big defensive stopper who plays late and doesn't make many mistakes. While Roddy would be my offensive guy that can spark a comeback.

Now my only question is how I would go about trading for him.

                      Players I'm willing to trade:

                      -Keith Bogans-67 OVR
                      -Kurt Thomas-68 OVR
                      -James Johnson-62 OVR
                      -'11 1st round pick
                      -'12 1st round pick
-'12 1st round pick via Bobcats (they have it IRL)
                      -'12 2nd round pick

I was thinking something along the lines of:

                      James Johnson
                      Kurt Thomas
                      '12 1st round pick

                      for

                      Rodrigue Beaubois

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm doing a Magic association as well...I am doing well with VC, averaging 20+ ppg with him in games I play. Had 44 with him against Miami that 2nd game of the season.

I may play it differently than you, but I would trade VC for a couple reasons. 1. It's just not realistic irl for that to happen right now. 2. There's a team option for next season, so if you really don't want him, wait and decline the team option. That 2nd scenario is waaaay more likely to happen irl than him being traded irl, so that's what I would do.

When bringing Melo to CHI, who would be a good, realistic compliment at SG. I'm only willing to trade Bogans. I'm thinking T-Mac or J.R Smith. Any other realistic options? (Not really looking for a big stat guy, I already have three scoring options)

If I can't get this guilt feeling out I'm just gonna go normal bulls roster w/ shooting guard addition.

The Miami Heat went on the road to a place where they have always had problems. San Antonio Texas was the site of a mega showdown between the Spurs (who are currently the #1 team in the entire league) against the Heat.

Miami never had a lead in this game. The Spurs led coast to coast as Tim Duncan was playing like an MVP hitting bank shots, posting up and getting Chris Bosh in quick foul trouble with 3 fouls in the first quarter! Tony Parker paced the Spurs with 12 dime and Ginobli was on fire from 3pt land hitting 7 treys. The Heat kept things close all the way but were never able to break through after tying the game with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Spurs ended up winning by seven points 94-87.

Next up the Heat welcomed the Bulls for what will be a nice 6 game homestand. The Bulls crushed the Heat just a week ago at Chicago so Miami was geared up and focused to send a message back to the Bulls. Well Lebron played like a man possesed after he had only 8 points in their meeting the previous week. James finished up with 39 points, 13 boards and 6 assists. Dwayne Wade also chipped in 24 points and Chris Bosh dropped 16 and pulled down 13 boards. Mike Miller who was mired in a shooting slump broke out of it with 14 points but again his ailing balky back reared it's ugly head! Mike Miller went down in a heap on a 3 pointer and needed help off the court by 2 trainers. Later that eveninig an MRI confirmed a badly strained lower back the same injury that has kept him out 2 times this season. Mike Millers timeline is 2-4 weeks and I think The Heat training staff will keep him out till the post season. So in his absence James Jones will again be asked to step up big time. D-League SG Rashard Jennings will also be put into the 12 man active roster on nights when they face smaller lineups and Coach Spolstra said he will get some minutes to see what he can do. Eddie House is also expected to be back in the rotation as he has fallen out of favor with Carlos Arroyo playing well. Mario Chalmers and Jorel Anthony also had very productive games against the Bulls. Chalmers dished out 8 dimes and drained 10 points and Jorel Anthony was a beat on the boards and blocks fininishing with 8 points, 10 boards and 3 huge blocks. Big Z is still out with a sprained ankle. The Heat ended up winning by twelve points:

                            100 - 88

The Heat sit a half game out of the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference trailing the Hawks. If the playoffs started today they would host the New York Knicks.

The Heat have home games coming up against:

                            Portland
                            LA Lakers
                            Memphis
                            San Antonio
                            Oklahoma City

They will face the Hawks 2 more times before the post season and those games will be crucial. The Heat will also look to make a big statement against the Lakers and Spurs at home.

Now 7-0 with MIN [All-star/10min/82gm/year1] just beat the Lake show 101-93. It was a block party, but i was the victim getting packed 13 times by Gasol & Bynum. Old reliable Kevin Love was terrible 2-11 EW! Nick Young chimes in 24 and Flynny baby had a 20pt 19ast effort. Wes Johnsons went is out for 2 weeks for twisted ankle. I'm waiting until I play BOS, MIA and LAL one more time before I decide i should graduate to Superstar.

                              Lineup:
PG Flynn/ Telfair / Lester Hudson
SG Shannon Brown/ Nick Young / Ellington
SF Wes Johnson / Damion James / Laz Hayward
                              PF Beasley / Amundson
                              C Love / Speights / Darko

Just had my best game in my latest association. I'm finally happy with my sliders/rosters that I'm using so I think I'll stick with these.

Using rashidi's rosters and PuntNL's sliders but on All Star instead of Pro.

Just finished a great game in Portland. Largest lead for either team was 9 which Portland had with 1:58 left in the 4th and then the one they call KD took over. Durant had 13 in the final 1:58. Game was tied with 30 seconds left and Roy hit a layup over Harden to put them up two with 17 seconds left. Inbound the ball to KD at top of the key and he drives left on Batum, goes up for a dunk and got fouled but still threw it down over B. Roy and Batum. 96-96 with 5.8 left and KD at the line. Free throw was good. Durant sealed the game with a block on Roy's buzzer beater attempt from midrange.

                                Thunder win 97-96
