So i'm playing my Nets association and i look at the League rumors...I see Evan Turner talking about wanting to be traded. I checked and his morale was ZERO. I'm seriously trying to find a way to get him without giving up CP3 or Brook.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Season1 [as] Mavs (All-30 Teams) Association:
Just extended my win streak to 13 games, and got my all-30 Mavs association sitting on March 1st. Here's some scores from my most recent games + 2010-11 All-Star nods.
DAL @ SAC: Win # 6 of my current 13-gm winning streak. Although Dallas shot poorly as a team, 37% compared to Sactowns 41%, but the difference maker was Caron Butler as Tuff Juice finished with 26 pts to lead all scorers, while adding 3 boards, a steal, and getting to the FT line 13 times connecting on 10. The ability of Dallas to get to the FT line was the deciding factor, outscoring Sacramento 27/31 vs 13/18 from FT. Dallas wins 92-84.
DAL @ HOU: Win #7 of my current 13-gm winning streak. No Yao Ming for the Rockets, but the game was pretty close through 3 qtrs. However, Dallas exploded in the 4th qtr for 41 pts and beat Houston handedly 121-93. Dirk was solid w/ 24/8/5, but Terry was the man pouring in 25 on 8 3's.
PHX @ DAL: Last game before All-Star Weekend... Win #10 of my current 13-gm winning streak. Dirk finished w/ 24 and 10, JET added 22 off the bench in 32 minutes, and Kidd and Marion both finished with doubles...13 and 11 (Kidd), and 11 and 11 (Marion). The Mavs won 100-93 to complete a 10-gm winning streak.
League update ending the month of FEB to follow...
Onto 2010-11 All-Stars:
EAST
G Wade
G J.Johnson
F LeBron
F Amar'e
C D.Howard
Derrick Rose
Stephen Jackson
Danny Granger
Josh Smith
Brook Lopez
Rondo
Antawn Jamison
WEST
G Kobe
G CP3
F Durant
F Duncan
C Al Jefferson
Deron Williams
Monta Ellis
David Lee
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Kaman
Manu
Billups
Despite the West hosting this one, the East won @ Staples Center defeating the West 101-96. Kobe Bryant poured in 34 in front of his home crowd, adding 7 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals...but D-Wade leading the way for the East w/ 27 pts and 7 rebounds took home the honors.Last edited by JBH3; 12-14-2010, 01:12 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I can't believe my luck. After starting 3-26 in my Nets Franchise. I draft some great players. My first game back, I'm whooping up on the Jazz. Up by 20+, and then the game just freezes. And now, I can't even load my franchise up because of it. It freezes everytime I try to boot up.
Please, any ideas would be helpful.Comment

Looks like it. Really pisses me off when **** like this happens. This was turning out to be my best franchise ever and it's all gone to nothing. And of course, right after I get 3 weeks off of work, I get this.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I didn't update for a long time because I decided to go a different direction and just wanted to play and not get outside input. I'm happy with what I have so I figured I'd update and let people know what I'm doing.
I simulated two different "generations" - one using 6min quarters/82 games, the other 6min/29 games. Both of these simulations were to see if players would still be inducted to the HoF and what not, based on their contributions in the now-shortened games and seasons.
Both cases were true, so I did a total "reset" of the records. When the guys like Shaq and what not retire and post their career numbers, I'll remove them. I want the league's stats to be on equal footing to THIS league only. I would never play enough games to get to the career scoring record or anything like that playing all the games - in this I can.
I plan on playing for a very long time, so I wanted to get in lots of seasons, with no simulating. The game allows me to do that and not care if a battle turns out 44-39. The GM AI in this game is incredible, it doesn't make any sense to play one or two seasons, you miss out on how players actually wind up developing, and how the CPU's actually work their teams to win titles.
Anyways, instead of arguing with myself about anything regarding trading - I turned trade override off as I always do. Anything else is good. They aren't stupid. Here's my lineup.
PG - Rodney Stuckey/Will Bynum (36 minutes/12 minutes roleplayer)
SG - Rip Hamilton/DeShawn Stevenson/Courtney Lee (36/5 role/7 prospect) <- I play with their minutes game to game to keep everyone happy.
SF - Tayshaun Prince/Kyle Korver/Julian Wright (35/12 role/5 prospect)
PF - Kevin Love/Glen Davis/Jordan Hill (36 star/19 6thMan/8 prospect)
C - Greg Monroe/Glen Davis/Jordan Hill (33/SAME ABOVE)
Davis and Hill both see some time at Center when I take out my prize rookie in the middle. Love is my building block. Monroe is pretty much the same in my eyes, he will be a beast for me for years to come. Glen Davis was pissed off on the Celtics, he's been a full 100 morale getting the required 19 mins for 6th men, and has played great for me. Hill was also done with the Rockets, and as much as I hated to move Ben there, I worked out the deal. He's a work in progress, but a player I like.
I'm 6th in my conference with 10 games to play, at 11-8. I've played very well on the road on my way there, going 6-5, and 5-3 at home so far. I'll have a good deal of home games on the back side of the year.
Eastern Conference Standings: 1. Boston (16-7) 2. Knicks (13-8) 3. Heat (14-9) 4. Bulls (11-7) 5. Magic (12-8) 6. Pistons (11-8) 7. Hawks (11-9) 8. Bucks (13-11) 9. Wizards (13-14) 10. Cavaliers (9-10) 11. 76ers (8-14) 12. Raptors (8-15) 13. Pacers (6-14) 14. Bobcats (6-14) 15. Nets (7-17)
Nothing too ridiculous here. No runaway teams in the East, either.
Western Conference Standings: 1. Thunder (14-6) 2. Spurs (15-7) 3. Clippers (13-8) 4. Lakers (13-8) 5. Jazz (14-9) 6. Suns (12-10) 7. Mavs (12-10) 8. Blazers (13-12) 9. Grizzlies (12-13) 10. Kings (12-13) 11. Rockets (11-13) 12. Hornets (10-13) 13. Warriors (8-12) 14. Nuggets (11-16) 15. T'Wolves (5-18)
Leaders
PPG: Tyreke Evans (15.7), Monta Ellis (15.2), Rip Hamilton (14.3)
RPG: Dwight Howard (7.6), Tim Duncan (7.0), Andrew Bogut (6.9)
APG: Rajon Rondo (6.3), Rodney Stuckey (5.9), Chris Paul (5.7)
SPG: Ronnie Brewer (1.8), Chris Paul (1.6), Rajon Rondo (1.6)
BPG: Andrew Bogut (1.5), Javale McGee (1.4), Tim Duncan (1.3)
No one should touch Wall for Rookie of the Year, he's the only one above 10.0 ppg, and he has 2.4 apg and 1.4 rpg as well. Cousins is second in rookie scoring with 7.1, with Wesley at 7.0 - Griffin puts up a very respectable 6.9/6.0rpg.
Playing out very interesting. Always something happening as far as rumors around the league, etc. I recommend playing this way for anyone who is a junkie for wanting everything done by their team to be done by them, but still want to get seasons in and play with the great offseason features.I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Played game 5 [year 1] with my MIN franchise [10min/82game], so far 5-0 just beat MIA and ORL on a back-to-back on the road. MIA by 11 and ORL by 18, I think it's time to step it up to to Superstar [or whichever one's above All-star]. Nick Young was raining 3's all night hitting 4-4 and going 10-10 from the field for 26 pts off the bench in 16 minutes of PT. Flynn dropped 18pts 16ast, Love was did his job with 10pts 11reb. Dwight dominated 36pts 18reb [14-18 FG with 8-13 FTs] but I kept everyone else in check, Carter surprise surprise went 4-13 from 3pt range.
Shannon Brown just went down the day after in practice, 4-6 weeks broken foot, time for Young to step in. Still don't know what to do with Beasley. I want to move Love to the PF spot but in order to please Beasley he needs to start, and i must have Wes Johnson out there draining 3's. Not a fan of Darko, i want to ship him and his lavish contract along with Beasley for a shot blocking C. Will decide on something hopefully within a week but i foresee a trade like that screwing me in terms of who got the better end of the deal.
Lineup:
PG Flynn/ Telfair / Lester Hudson
SG Brown/ Nick Young / Ellington
SF Wes Johnson / Damion James / Laz Hayward
PF Beasley / Amundson
C Love / Speights / DarkoLast edited by Shield; 12-14-2010, 12:47 PM.Lakers | Michigan | DodgersComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just put a whooping on the Clippers at home (Jazz - 12min/82games/all-star). Raja Bell has played really well the past couple games, scoring 15+ each game. Duncan's level of play is already beginning to drop off and he really struggles in back-to-back games.
I'm nervous about this 4 game road trip coming up, especially with games in Miami and Orlando. We're now 5-1 on the season and have won 5 games in a row. Things are looking up!
Starters:
PG Deron Williams
SG Raja Bell
SF Andrei Kirilenko
PF Tim Duncan
C Al Jefferseon
Bench
PG Earl Watson
SG CJ Miles
SF Gordon Haywood
PF Fransisco Elson
C Kyrylo Fesenko
G Ronnie Price

I just started a 82 Game season with the Mavs to just have fun with. I have a 29 game season with the Hornets which is my real one. First off I traded Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Novak to Philly for Jrue Holiday and Elton Brand. Then I trade J.Kidd and Butler to Washington for Arenas and Cartier Martin. Shawn Marion to Toronto for Reggie Evans and Julian Wright.
I also traded Brendan Haywood and Beaubois to SAC for their 1st Rounder and someone else. I'm going to try and trade for T-Mac. All these trades were offered to me or found via trade finder.
PG-Jrue Holiday (78 Ovr)
SG-Gilbert Arenas (83 Ovr)
SF-Julian Wright (62 Ovr)
PF-Elton Brand (78 Ovr)
C-Tyson Chandler
Jrue put up 39,4,and 12 in a loss to the Bobcats. Arenas had 10 because I couldn't figure out his shot. Stephenson had 12 off the bench. Brand had 27 and 7.
Next game I figured out Arenas's shot and put up 56. Jrue had 32,2,and16 and Brand had 22and8Milwaukee Bucks Dynasty:

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Alright guys, I'm in need of advice in my Blazers 'chise.
Basically, Brandon Roy does not stay healthy. He's been out twice now with a back strain (Out 2-4 weeks both times). I don't bother playing him when he's hurt, because I don't want him re-injuring himself. So, when he's finally 100% he goes down during his very first game back with a serious ankle injury (out 4-6 weeks).
I'm basically having thoughts of trading Roy come the trade-deadline. Right now my Blazers re-took 1st place in our Division (By 0.5 a game). And we're actually playing sound basketball without him, due to Matthews and Batum playing at such a high level.
So, what would some of you do in this situation? Is Roy worth the injuries, and if not, what teams would be good suitors for him?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started up a Pistons franchise a week or so ago, I have actually turned around the team with one big trade and one that is really only significant for the rotation.
2 weeks away from the trade deadline and I am 23-28- considering I started with them from 6-14, they are doing fine, 17-14 is respectable, especially considering some of the teams on their schedule.
My lineup looks like this...
Starting: Lou Williams, Ben Gordon, Iggy, Charlie V and Greg Monroe
Sixth Man: TMac
Role Players(Heavy role players, get only a couple minutes less than TMac): Bynum and Daye
Role Player/Bench Warmer: Rafer Alston
I may actually make the playoffs as an 8 seed...only a game and a half behind the Knicks. Although I can easily fall behind because the Cavs are 23-29.
Now that the trade deadline is coming up...getting TONS of trade offers, although none I would even work with, but now I received an offer of:
I think I am just missing a talented PG to really make a run for the 'ship. I could try to find a trade for a great one though, I have four 2nd round picks this year...otherwise, there are a lot of interesting options in the draft.
edit: And another interesting trade offer, this one I might just accept, although I feel like this one would pretty much throw away the season because the drop in depth is pretty significant. I was offered the Raptors 1st round pick(19-35, 6th worst record currently) and Julian Wright(63 ovr, D+ pot.) for TMac(71 ovr) and my 1st round pick.Last edited by AnArtofWar; 12-14-2010, 04:24 PM.Comment
