Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm still only about 4 games into my dual association with my brother, I'm the Warriors and he's the Thunder. What sliders do people here use? I downloaded Yellz sliders and there's far too many injuries occurring, both computer and in-game user injuries. Not only that, but the computer hits 90% of their mid-range shots, regardless of them being heavily contested. To the point that it's ridiculous. Also, fouls are far being called far too often, both CPU and USER. I need some new sliders ASAP to revive this association. Any help would be much appreciated as I'd love to become a regular in thi thread. Thanks

I'm on Yellz sliders and there working ok, I have tweaked the injuries down a little bit.

What Roster are you using and what skill level?

58 Game season - All Star - 12 min quarters - Dynasty Sliders.

7 - 7 Record through December. Started off 1-4 with tough defeats against Golden State, Detroit, New York and Chicago. Then I started to figure out my rotations and get some standard plays that I use and went 6-3 in my next 9 games. My schedule has been pretty easy so far with Boston the only elite team I've faced so far, and they drilled me 115 - 89 at home.

        PG - B.Davis 12.1pts 3.1 Rebs 5.1 Asst
        SG - E.Gordon 19pts 4.7 rebs 3.5 Asst
        SF - A.Aminu 4.8pts 3.4 Rebs 0.9 Asst
        PF - B.Griffin 22.7pts 8.1 Rebs 2.9 Asst 1.4 Blks
        C - C.Kaman 16.6pts 6.7 Rebs 1.5 Asst 1.4 Blks

        C.Smith - 5.6 pts
        R.Foye - 4.9 pts
        R.Butler - 4.6 pts

        R.Gomes - 2.2 pts

Griffin and Gordon are by far the stars of this team, Griffin could go for 30 every night, he's almost unstoppable at times.

I need advice though. I want to add a scoring spark to my bench and I'm not conviced with Foye and Gomes. I struggle to find Foye minutes around Davis, Gordon and Bledsoe and I can't get much scoring out of Gomes. Do you have any advice about trading those for a scoring SF that I can bring off the bench?

My second option is to trade the two for expiring contracts and make a run for Melo in the off season. That means I'll have to try and find the spark in the free agent pool this season, but probably means weakening my team this season.........

        Any advice?
I got rid of Aminu because I couldn't score with him, I picked up Brandon Rush who is a good 3 point shooter. Might I recommend playing Bledsoe more and moving Gordon to the 3 with Baron playing the 2, it gives you more scoring options.

I made the playoffs with the Clippers, got the 8 seed. Gordon made the NBA 3rd team averaging 19 a game and Griffin and Bledsoe both made all NBA rookie teams. I am currently leading the #1 seed Thunder 3-2 in the first round.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I just quit my ORL association and created a new one with the Wolves on Minnesota, 82 game All-star. So far 2-0 with with 10pt win vs. SAC and 25pt against MIL. Made a few trades amongst role players.

Koufus,'12 1st rd to LAL for Shannon Brown,'11 1st rd
Brewer,'12 2nd rd to WAS for Nick Young
Ridnour to NJ for Damion James,'11 2nd rd
          Webster,Tolliver to PHI for Speights,Kapono
'11 2nd rd to GS for Amundson
Also sent Pekovic away for a draft pick [hated his contract, might regret it if my centers go down]

          Lineup:
PG Flynn/ Telfair / Lester Hudson
          SG Brown/ N.Young / Ellington
SF Wes Johnson / D.James / Laz Hayward
          PF Beasley / Amundson
          C Love / Speights / Darko

Nick Young [15pt/game] is wet from downtown and so is Wes, Brown ain't too shabby either. Flynn is dropping dimes like Rondo [16pts,17.5 ast/game]. Not sure i want to keep Beasley because i'd rather have Love at PF and a shot blocker at C. Plus my 4 & 5 spot are the 4th and 5th options and get less than 10 pts/game.

Hey Danny, I'm using the 2K Rosters and am playing on HOF. I've got no problem with a challenge and competitiveness but I feel as if I'm being cheated. There's no way Jamario Moon should go 6-6 from 3PT range, with all shots being severely contested mind you. In the paint is fine, but the mid range and long range shots are nearly impossible to stop. I think I may tone down the injuries and fouls. Do you think it may be cause I'm playing at HOF? Any help is appreciated thanks.

Yeah maybe, I'm not sure which level the sliders were created for. If I were you and you like the way the sliders play apart from a few things, just tweak them yourself, tone down the shooting by the computer (not more than 5) and see how that plays. Like i said, I toned down the injuries as they were a bit high, and I reduced the shooting fouls by about 10 or 15.

I've gotta say, mine plays really well now. I'm only on All Star but with the Dynasty roster and these sliders its the most realistic gameplay I've ever experienced on any of the 2k games. Not sure how far into your season you are, but you should maybe give the Dynasty roster a try with the sliders. They made a lot of changes to the coaching profiles and the players tendencies. Very good stuff

Just beat the Los Angeles Clippers who fall to 1-4. What's even worse for them is that Blake Griffin got injured.. and will be out for 4-6 weeks. I hope he heals faster than expected. Anyways, Carmelo Anthony had a great night putting up a triple double. Brook Lopez added 20 and 8. Favors had another double-digit rebound game with 11.

                Some stats(roughly):

                Carmelo - 26 ppg, 8 rpg, 6 apg
                Lopez - 20 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 bpg
                Terrence Williams - 13 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg(sixth man)
                Kyrie Irving - 10 ppg, 3 rpg, 9 apg
                Favors - 8 ppg, 11 rpg

Lol, his assists will most likely go down as the season progresses(I'm only 4 games in) but Lopez has been making so many mid range shots lately. Plus, I have shooters around him in Morrow, TWill(developed a jumper), Damion James, and Farmar. Irving can shoot some for me too.

OKC Franchise is up about to see what i can tap out of the big 4 Durant,Westbrook,Green,Harden

                      develop KD's defense

                      westbrooks pull up midrange shot

greens overall game mostly on defense

make harden into a gritty defender

I want to have the #1 defense in all major categories and to have a slow paced game to really make offenses struggle to get back in games.Get homecourt in first round and make a run for WCF.

                        CHICAGO BULLS

I'm Restarting My Bulls Association. I'm basing my starting roster off of our 2008 Playoff Team.

"After Being Eliminated In The 1st Round of The Playoffs A Second Year Straight, The Bulls Seek Free Agency Help. Acquiring Carlos Boozer"

                        Roster:
                        PG: Rose, Hinrich, Pargo
                        SG: Gordon
                        SF: Deng, Salmons, Johnson
                        PF: Boozer, Tyrus Thomas
                        C: Noah, Miller, Asik

I Might Acquire Melo Before TD.

                          Bulls franchise.

Original roster, simmed the first year, 57-25 3rd seed. Lost 2nd round semi-finals to Boston.

                          Off Season:
Keith Bogans team option - Declined

Thomas, B. Scalabrine left to FA

                          Free Agency:
I can afford Shane Battier & AK47. Really makes no sense to pick up two defensive players when I have Ronnie Brewer, who's defense I underrated, I need a back up center, Asik is soon to be on my D-League roster. Still might pick them both up, I want a lot Guard/SmallFoward depth to play against Miami & the aging Boston Celtics. Might make a move for Tracy McGrady, I wanted the Bulls to sign him in the offseason, I know a lot of people think he's washed up, but IMO he still has it, a couple weeks he caught an alley Oop (IRL) it was good to see him dunking again, more people would be able to see he still has it if he'll get a specific role, sorry for going off topic.

                          Thoughts & suggestions?

                                Recap l

Started off very slow 1-7, but Rose started getting it going and the team is playing very well now Carlos Boozer comes back vs Boston so Taj Gibson slides back to the bench which will help because I lost 2-3 games due to foul problems with Noah & Gibson.
